Is DebatePolitics a scam or a legit company?

You know, I really don't know whether it's legit company or who's behind the site, and the folks who are have assiduously endeavored to make sure it's hard to find out.

For example, I asked who, per public records, is the copyright claimant for DebatePolitics.com and immediately after doing so, I was banned.

On another occasion, I did a "WhoIs" search to find out who owns the site, and my search revealed that the site owner uses a proxy outfit to mask his/her/its identity.

No, the use a proxy service (domainsbyproxy.com) to hide who they are.

Xelor, I'm one of the ones who was pretty upset to see you get banned.

Of course, if you're a conservative, or a liberal, or anything else in between, and not a troll (which you aren't) you're certainly welcome to check out our friendly family over at Capitol Hill Blue's Reader Rant.

We're smaller and slower moving but we're the oldest political forum on the internet (1994) and we'd love to have you.

If I see "Xelor" in the registration queue and you have a functional email address, I'll approve you immediately.

Regards,

Jeff H. Aka "Checkerboard Strangler".

It's unfair and biased, unless you're a conservative Trump supporter. They love it here, they

It's good to see I'm not the only one puzzled by the rules and running of DebatePolitics.

Posting mostly on the abortion sub-forum I became aware that conservative males were obviously not getting warnings or demerit points for using very inappropriate language to describe women but pro-choice female posters including myself often received public warnings and/or got demerit points. The rules were obviously being enforced unevenly. I took my question to the sub-forum called "The Basement" which the rules stated was the place to ask question about the rules and moderation. All hell broke loose. I was called some really startling names. Apparently my persistence in asking about the rules inconsistency crossed some secret boundary. I was banned from the Basement and a perpetual watch placed on all my postings.

After my experience in the Basement the conservative males posting on the abortion site mysteriously stopped describing women inappropriately. No rules were changed, no public statements about inappropriate language were made. Perhaps warnings were finally being issued. I received 3 demerit points for calling someone "Sweetie".

A similar scenario must have happened on the Israeli sub-sub-forum. This forum had detailed rules that very explicitly prevented any criticism of Israel. Someone must have objected, perhaps gotten banned for their efforts, but the posted rules did get changed. Whether the old rules are still being enforced with warnings, suspensions and banning isn't clear, but there is still almost no real criticism of Israeli political actions.
