Is Regus a scam or a legit company?

It is a scam. A legit company has a cancellation and refund policy that makes sense, a customer service team that responds and is able to resolve issues and, most importantly, does not mess up their billing and collections that hurt their clients.

Scammers. Charging you for services never provided. Charging you for months (11 months in my case) AFTER you cancel the service. There is ZERO customer service. They don't pick up phone, never help, never answer hepldesk emails. That is it, they just charge you.

BASICALLY THEY ARE BOTH! THEY OBVIOUSLY ARE NOT JUST A SCAM SINCE THEY DO HAVE A REAL PRODUCT: RENTING OUT WORKSPACE AND ARE EVEN PUBLIC. HOWEVER THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU ANY COSTUMERSERVICE AND AT THE SAME TIME THEY WILL TREAT YOU LIKE CATTLE, TRYING TO MILK YOU OUT WITH FALSE BILLING. THE PRODUCTS OR SERVICES THEY CLAIM TO OFFER ARE IN REALITY COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. A GREAT DEAL OF THEIR SAILSPITCH SEEMS TO BE FLEXIBILITY BUT AT THE SAME TIME THEIR CONTRACTS ARE INTENTIALY CONSTRUCTED TO PUNISH FLEXIBEL BEHAVIOR. THEY WILL ALWAYS TAKE MORE THAN THEY GIVE. THE STAFF WONT HESITATE TO LIE OR WITHOLD CRUCIAL INFORMATION IF ITS CONVENIENT TO THEM AT ANY MOMENT AND THE CEO AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS COULDNT CARE LESS AS LONG AS MONEY KEEPS COMMING IN. THEY MIGHT HOLD BACK YOUR MAIL CHASE AWAY YOUR COSTUMERS OR LOCK YOU OUT FOR NOT PAYING YOUR BILLS EVEN WHEN YOU DID PAY EVERYTHING AND THEY ARE JUST TO STUBBORN TO ADMIT THE INCOMPETENCE OF THEIR OWN ADMINISTRATORS ETC ETC ETC! AND THESE THINGS DONT JUST HAPPEN IN ONE OR TWO CENTERS BUT THESE TYPES OF COMPLAINTS ARE INTERNATIONAL!

It felt very much like a high pressure to sign scam. Very, incredibly disappointed by Regus.

Regus is a scam. I was charged for services I never purchased right after I signed up. I only caught it due to security alerts from my bank. I have been trying to resolve this issue for DAYS with no resolution. Their customer service is horrendous. Your credit card information is not secure on their site. I will not do business with this company. They ignore my requests to cancel my account and ensure I not charged given the security breach on my credit card. I only wish I had more carefully researched them before. I hope this helps other people understand NOT to give their credit card information to this company. YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION IS NOT SECURE WITHE REGUS.

All of the previous comments are correct. Up until around 2018, they were a great company. Then something happened (I believe change in ownership) and it is now mostly a scam. Do not use them.

Regus is a complete and total scam company. You can work on trying to resolve a billing issue for MONTHS without ever being provided a single actual contact who works at the "helpdesk", and of whom the local agents aren't even allowed to call or email!

This is a complete con, and scam through and through.

It's a scammy company. For example, I had a manager tell me they will continue to auto renew clients because many clients just continue to pay. The overcharge for each and every thing, and the quality of service is mediocre at best. Poor value for your dollar.

They are legally formed, however they operate in unethical and illegal ways. Users know, and others beware.

Scam. My $400 office turned into a $1.2k bill after their "maintenance" and "kitchen" fees. This place is absurd.

This was MY experience.

REGUS has caused me (and from reading the many reuse sites many of other customers as well) enormous stress, confusion, constant extra billing errors, and more.

I believe they publish FAKE customer service phone #'s that don't even work probably due to SOOOOOOO many prior complaints. They want to give the appearance of a customer helpline that doesn't actually exist.

And they keep changing their help desk phone #'s I surmise in order to wear customers out & make them go away.

You cannot make this stuff up.

Customers literally cannot get issues resolved or any problems fixed. And based on the many other review sites I've read, Regus has failed to resolve the underlying cause(s) for a specific list pattern of complaints that have occurred again & again & again repeatedly over many years.

On top of the other issues I've had with REGUS, which includes Regus deleting my account & services by their admitted accident error - which I didn't notice until 1 month later because I was out of the country.

I have also tried for 3 years to get my retainer deposits back - they have no reason to deny these refunds. But they're still holding my deposits hostage for reasons unknown to any sane minded person.

On the BBB site Regus has 615 complaints filed against their business (and these are just the people who took the time to complain)! They did not respond to 593 of the 615 complaints filed.

To be fair clients seem to receive decent service from the front desk staff of their chosen office space.

But if you have any other issues, (and I've read 100's & 100's of billing, contract or deposit refund complaints among other types of complaints) … well with these types of issues Regus illustrates a "disturbing" pattern of ignoring customers then pretending we didn't even mention the issue before.

In lamens terms: If we have an issue we must email their Help Desk Department. Which we discover yields the same results as calling does.

CALLING: We must call our office building front desk to get the "Help Desk" phone #. But getting the most recent Help Desk phone number is a hamster wheel in itself. Once I was given 7 different help desk phone numbers over a period of gout days. ALL of which went to a "user busy message. Or were dis- connected entirely.

Put that in perspective. HOW MANY COMPLAINTS does this company to have to resort to changing their Help Desk phone numbers monthly.

In any case, if we make it over the frustrating mountain of getting a help desk phone # that actually works & hasn't been disconnected, we get to voice our complaint to a live person.

That live person (on our behalf) sends an email on our behalf. They do NOT have permission to put us in contact with anyone else. AND claim not to have any emails or contact information to refer us to anyone else.

All the help desk can do is submit an anonymous tech ticket into cyber space & hope for the best.

All the help desk seems to do is put customers through a FAKE customer service hamster wheel over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again!

I "surmise" (I'm my opinion) they do this in hopes that said customers will get so stressed & frustrated that they will just give up / go away.

In doing so they completely dehumanize & disrespect their past and current customers. And frustrate us / cause us stress to no end.
This tactic probably does make %99 of the "go away" due to sheer customer exhaustion & a feeling of defeat.

BY FAR THE WORST company I have ever dealt with in my entire life!

I think it feels like a scam when it does things like use a firewall to prevent a hot spot from working when the internet is down. They also automatically renew leases. They keep on reducing services but not fees. I don't think it is fraudulent but it's very upsetting and has negatively impacted my office and morale. They don't seem to care. I would say that it is unethical. They are smart about taking advantage of people without doing anything illegal. It's just shabby treatment. I would encourage people to be careful.
