on 5/20/20Company takes forever doing anything. Refuses refunding when it cant repair something and will make up an excuse to void the warranty.
I thought that being backed by its parent company, "Allstate", made it 'legit'. It isn't. It is a SCAM in that it refuses to pay out or make good on most of its claims. I wish I would have researched it better before buying three (3) of their 3-year plans and then attempting to file a claim on one.
I'm so sad. That was like, all the stimulus check put together for that computer. And it's just... dead. There's nothing I can do and the $40 "protection plan" could have been a meal to comfort my family about it instead of talking to insensitive Indian slave workers. That's all your paying for. And you have to look up the number too. Gotta just... eat it. Good thing I'm used to plastic and disappointment.
Supposedly legitimate but they do everything that they can to ensure that they do not have to pay a claim. Unfortunately, they are the only protection plan offered on many shopping websites.
Theyre a "legit company" in the sense that they do indeed exist but they offer very sketchy policies and just lost a huge class action suit (over 700k people) for scamming their customers basically. I have no idea how theyre still in business, probably because theyre attached to Allstate.
Squaretrade is a total scam. They intentionally make every step of s claim difficult..
Scam! 100%! I'm sure they pay out smal claims. This is something I learned when I finally after 30 plus years of buying warranties… now a days Square trade is one of the company you are buying the warranty from. Rather you buy a TV, microwave, or a mower at Walmart, Target uses them, this is who you deal with. Then if you ever need to file a claim, you call a 800 # and some operator in a foreign country is who handles it. And they deny most of them. The days of returning to a store, or sending it in to the manufacture are over. It's a scam all the way around.
I'm feeling like I've been had by a Con Artist on a National Scale as every indication is that they just stole the money with no intentions of holding up their end. I think the answer is to round up 3 refused claimants in each state. (class action) Honestly, It was our big stimulus purchase & I also could have fed us for a day or two. They literally took food off the table. I had hoped I would never need the warranty as they clearly did as well.
