“They really make up their mistakes”

Last weekend me and my boyfriend went to the AMC 8 in buffalo. We had a pretty bad experience the girls next to me talked through the whole thing and the guy on the side of my boyfriend had his phone out on Facebook in the MIDDLE of the movie. I understand that this is not amc's fault but I wrote to them and explained how maybe it would be a good idea for everyonce and a while a worker should come into the movie to make sure no ones talking or using there phones. I just explained that this would be a good reason for it and no one wants to spend 30 dollars to have a movie ruined. BUT AMC personally mailed me 2 free tickets to whatever I want to see, which I thought was an awesome thing for the business too do. I wasn't expecting anything but they definitely earned my respect. Everyone has bad experiences, and it's not the companys fault but they definitely made it up too me. They obviously care about there customers feedback and that's a place I wanna go!

“Scammers, got charged after cancelling”

Wanted to cancel my stubs a list but there is no button to cancel on their site. (Them trying to scam anyway they can) I contact them asking to cancel but still got charged 3 weeks later. Then they tried to charge me again the next month, good thing is my card expired. Only reason I noticed was because I got an email from them saying the charge didn't go through and that I should update my card. This could have gone on forever without me noticing.

Love this site. We joined the Stubs program several years ago and renew every year. We can track movies that we have seen, items and concessions purchased and how much spent. The free upgrades and bonus dollars are great.

It's become expensive to go to the movies, programs and offers such as you find on the site make nights out more efficient.

Plenty of information given on the site, reviews of movies, and all that tracking? Well done!

Drove 100 miles to see a movie we didn't have locally. Used 2 rewards from Coke but also had to pay $6.52 extra because it was 3d. Gave our tickets to the manager and she directed us to theater 2. We were early so we sat there for 30 minutes. % minutes after the show was supposed to start the screen was still blank. Went to find someone and they said the movies wasn't going to be shown and we could get a pass. The pass only covered the 2 rewards passes and not the extra $6.52 we had to pay. They called the police when we wanted our extra money we paid. So they thought was not going to be given to us or they said take the 2 passes or get excorted out and get nothing. 't ever plan on going back we have Net-Flix, Amazon and Hulu don't need this kind of treatment.

AMC Theater in Tulsa Ok at 41st and Yale. I have been there many times over the years and I really enjoyed it but let me tell you, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! There are way too many theaters in town to be treated like they treat you there. The have started a new way of crowd management by putting up these line barracades like you see in airport security. They make you stand in line and wait (like 10 minutes) just to get in the door even though I had tickets in hand! THEN we walked to the next section of barracades at the concession stands. There was literally only 2 people in front of us and there was only one cashier. We stood there for 7-8 minutes waiting for this girl to getthe people in front of us. Then a line of people walked up in another line. They were Premier members which I have never even heard of. She helped them first! We were irritatated but then after she was done, she helped another person in front of us. Now we are angry and the manager walked up and opened another lane. Guess what HE helped anoth premier member in front of us. We were standing in line by ourselves for over 10 minutes now and late for o movie and they helped four other people ahead of us that just walked up. This may sound petty but let me tell you it was belittling and we were furious. I asked the manager whos name was BILL and he said I don't have to give you my last name (he was rude and seemed to be enjoying this) and he just said that those people come first and I said this is BS we are upset and he didn't care one bit. I will NEVER go to another AMC theater and I will make sure that everybody knows that if you go there you will NOT be happy about it. You will see exactly what I'm talking about real quick. Shame on you AMC.

(part1 of 2)before I start let me say this isn't to reflect all locations this is directly at northpark amc. After I failed at my first 4 tries to see terminater due to being an overnight employee at my company and just being too tired and an issue with traffic I set out Friday night to go see the 10:50 showing of the movie. As much as I go to see movies ive always timed the trailers and its always a minimum 15 min. Of trailers so because I see enough of it on tv I just don't do trailers anymore, never caused me an issue.so im in line at exactly 10:50 and there are just under 20 people in front of me, with 1 person working the box offce. Really? No seriously are you kidding me? I stay calm and patient, it is what it is, big companies being greedy with the almighty dollar and reducing employees while maximizing workload, i see it all the time, but at what cost? The inconvenience to the consumer ofcourse. It was already 7min. After when I made it to the window, still calm about it I tried to purchase my ticket with my promotional e-cash certificate that I happened to still have 1 of, ive used them before with no issues, hand them the paper give them x amount of dollars to cover the rest. Terminater imax 3d that late at night over $17. Oh but not this time. System wasn't allowing it to be scanned. Few minutes pass, im getting a lil annoyed, im directed to go upstairs to see customer service.so im standing at customer service waiting time is getting burnt away and im starting to feel like getting p*ssed. Employees had to have noticed me standing there. I finally had to go all the way over to concessions and ask to have someone sent over to help me. Not cool! Another 5 minutes passes finally someone comes up to help. I explain to the guy what the problem is(not going to say names, thats not what this is about, my issue is with AMC. At that time movie had to be 20 minutes already in and this guy is trying to go ahead and sell me the ticket. What? Hell no! 6 different times he tries to sell me on why I should go ahead with seeing the movie and waisting my money, he even says oh ive seen it already not really missing much... well you know what, at $17 dollars that's for me to decide not him, when he finally realizes im not gonna be convinced to do it he then takes a different route and says well look being that you never bought a ticket im not going to give you a free pass. Oh so he wants to go there with me, ballzy because im not the one especially after im starting to feel p*ssed. But I don't need jail or anything like that so I stayed calm and said honestly at this point I don't know what should be done but im not gonna buy that for this showing. I waited to see if he was going to offer up anything of a good idea to suggest... nothing, i had to do it, yeah me, i didn't realize I was there to earn someones paycheck for them, i thought I was there to see a movie. I said just sell me a ticket for tomorrow morning for the 10:25 am show

So to conclude my 2 day review of amc northpark. That next morning I showed again right at the time of the shows listing (trailers) had got myself inside the mall, up the escalators had time to get in line at the concession found theater 8 got inside found my seat movie starts. See my routine for skipping trailers isn't problematic for me if things are being handled the way they should be. Granted I had ticket in hand already but never the less. Anyways im watching the movie, happy as hell it was finally happening on the 6th try. Again the first 4 not amc fault. 2 hr and 7 min movie in total. Then ill be damn with about 15 mins. Left in the movie everything sound, movie, lights everything to a complete and abrupt stop. It was eerie as hell, the way it went down, so sudden like it did I really wanted to flop to the ground to take cover expecting someone to start shooting. Not even kidding not trying to exaggerate and not being funny because that situation will never be funny but the creepiness of the first handful of seconds had me thinking it, once the tension of it settled I heard someone telling someone else, both sitting behind me, that he just heard about someone from the day before being comp'd a free pass from amc and sent to this current showing at this location for the same reason. Wow! Same guy, 2 days back to back same reason same movie I felt his annoyance. I thought wow! AMC pay your electric bills, well for 10 to 15 mins was in the dark, im serious and I just checked the times from my texts from when I was texting my roommate about how lame this was. Well some guy finally comes out to address everyone as he begins to talk everything kicks back on and OMG the light and sound rendered me deaf and blind momentarily it sucked I had to throw both my hands up to try and shield the lights, DAMN! Finally the movie was over and I was glad because I wanted to go. I started seeing people from inside the same theater go straight to customer service so I said yup and I went too. I wanted my money back. Well there was no money back to get I realized that from the way people were walking off in reaction. I was about to be front in line to be heard from when it happens again and well the scene from that I felt sad for the customers and shocked for amc because it felt very chaotic with everyone flooding out of their movies and being pissed off along with hearing peoples comments then it was my turn to speak at customer service and I simply asked what is the plan to compensate us for this? The lady said we aren't doing refunds because the system is down due to the blackouts, made some sense even though it was not what I wanted to here then she trades me 1 movie voucher for my ticket stub I walked off and said whatever got in the truck and left. On my way home after thinking about it several times I told myself no this wasn't good enough not after both times going there to see the movie wasting my money with them the combined treatment from both times, the gas I had to pay, nope not good enough I don't think ill ever use the pass not gonna give it away to someone so they risk amc's b. S. it is a piece of a tree that got waisted to remind me of a crap theater. On a side note for the people who always say amc mesquite 30 is ghetto, your wrong I love that theater never had anything bad to say about the place and that's with the fact I was there and witnessed the huge racial brawl involving several handfuls of people that happened outside after watching 8 mile back in 2002 and I still truly love that theater as I was saying your wrong about amc 30 being ghetto, i say youll find ghetto at amc northpark thanks!
