“Incredible Service!”

Elliott N.
3/1/22

Absolutely incredible service. We were in dire need of a move down to an spontaneous eviction and stumbled across this company whilst browsing for removals, and it paid off massively. The lads they provided did an exceptional job at moving our stuff quickly and effectively, and considering we were on a a top floor flat with no lift, they got on with it and worked incredibly hard. Would highly recommend! 10/10

“Awful awful awful!”

Awful awful awful! Everything that they could have done wrong they did. I did the quote over the phone and the girl I spoke to put down everything incorrectly. Customer service were raising their voice every time I called them to explain the situation. And another 2 times they said someone else will call me on the same day and no-one did. We had already heard bad reviews about them but didn't believe them until we did it ourselves...

I was repeatedly told that a driver had been allocated to my job to then be told on the day of the job that in fact they had not. 3 days I waited in my home for a delivery of a new (second hand) cooker, so did the family I was collecting it from. The communication was appalling. I still have no cooker and have wasted hours of my time trying to resolve the issue. These guys are a joke.

We were extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by Anyvan during my recent relocation. The experience we encountered was marked by numerous instances of poor communication, unprofessional conduct, and disrespect, which greatly inconvenienced me and my friend.

Firstly, the driver arrived at the flat early, even though we confirmed the collection time different by their colleagues. Due to this early arrival, we were compelled to change our entire plan, including altering our train ticket to London. Moreover, the train was delayed, and I promptly informed Anyvan about the situation. I also texted the driver to inform him of our slight delay. The company assured me that they would relay this information to the driver, advising him not to rush or arrive early. Initially, everything seemed to be understood by all parties.

However, upon reaching the destination, the driver called me and stated that he could not wait for more than 10 minutes, despite my timely arrival (likely, he waited for no more than 5 minutes). I attempted to explain that I was present and only 2 minutes away.

While trying to obtain the keys for the flat, I received a call from someone at Anyvan who complained about our delay. Her behavior was appalling. She accused me of claiming to be present when I was not, instead of attempting to understand the situation. We were indeed present but were juggling multiple tasks, including locating the building, obtaining keys from the agent, and carrying our luggage simultaneously.

Shortly after, my friend encountered the driver outside the building and was met with disrespectful behavior. He remarked, "Finally, you're here. I've been waiting for you. I don't have keys to the car park," in a rude manner. It was then apparent that the van needed access to the car park. Subsequently, the driver called the company and complained that the building only had two floors (from ground to second floor), but he could only enter from floor -1, where the car park was located. We were unaware of this detail, as it was our first day in the area. Despite the presence of an elevator, the company unjustly charged us an additional £48 for the additional floor, which was not our fault and did not impact the driver's task because we paid 3 floor fee (from ground floor to second floor) but we have only 2 floor (ground floor and second floor) which makes the same effort and time for the driver with additional -1 floor. Although we assisted the driver in carrying numerous boxes, despite our health issues, we were subjected to disrespectful behavior when we were unable to carry three heavy bags.

Despite our efforts to resolve this matter amicably, we have encountered further obstacles in obtaining a satisfactory resolution. It is deeply disheartening to witness such blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and basic decency from a company of your stature.

I cannot understand why we were charged an additional £48 and why we were treated so disrespectfully. Unfortunately we have not yet received what we deserve. We were trying to get our money but now they are claiming that they charged us for the delay. I am deeply disappointed by the unsympathetic behavior displayed by everyone in this company. They made an already challenging journey even more stressful. I refuse to accept such blatant disrespect towards customer satisfaction and basic courtesy and we will try to find another solution as they have not been helpful and understanding.

I was charged extra because my door is slightly more than 20 meters from parking. Nobody informed me about it before moving date. And they estimate the path as if it was 100 hundred meters which is far far more then in reality. Worst moving ever.

First off, this isn't a negative review of the drivers, but the company itself.

I've gone with Anyvan twice, once should have been enough.

The first time they didn't send the driver the full list of stuff he should be carrying so he refused to take a few items, including a large houseplant. The funny thing is, I'd spoken to Anyvan on the phone earlier that week when I'd made my booking as they needed to know the height of the plant, so I know that it was on the booking. In the end I had to pay the guy cash in hand to take it.

Now, that was going into a property that didn't have easy access from the road, but at least I was able to give directions etc as they'd called me on the phone. Moving out of the same property I made the notes about the property being difficult to access, this time no phonecall, I figure maybe there are notes on the account from the previous move.

Second booking with them its all going well until half my stuff is on the van and the driver says because of the access I need to be charged more, and need to pay over the phone before he moves anything else. Obviously when you need to move house you can't exactly call it off there and then, its something that needs to go through that day, and I didn't really have a choice but to pay. Especially as they'd already taken my stuff. The real annoying thing is that the amount I had to pay essentially doubled the price of the job, and meant if I had gone with a local man and van it would have been cheaper.

If they had informed me of the additional charge I wouldn't have used them, I think it's pretty underhand that they stung me on the day. When you book they say they'll call to go over the details but when they were taking my payment over the phone and I asked about this, I was told that apparently they only really call a handful of bookings and if you don't read the T&Cs then it's pretty much tough cheese.

Suffice to say I'll be avoiding these guys from now on. Go local, you'll probably find cheaper and the van drivers wont be the equivalent of depressed Uber drivers for the removals trade!

I would urge anyone thinking of using this company to refrain. They are NOT a removal company they are a man with a van. My regular man and van charges me £220 per day but I thought to make my life easy I'd use a proper removal firm. Any Van up sold everything and I paid £1300. My home was damaged and also my goods. Any Van do not care. I paid for 2 extra men and they sent only 2 no refund offered. My furniture was dragged on blankets as it was too heavy for two men to lift. My table worth £8000 was chipped and cracked. Sales people are conditioned robots who do not listen or care. As my items wouldn't all fit I had to hire another van the week after who were far superior and charged me £220. Please do not use this company

Dear all,

My recent experience with anyvan was horrendous. My items were picked up and not dropped until the next day! Yes 24hrs, the company are apparently trying to help, although they understood the severity of the situation, insult think they were taking the situation seriously, every time I called spoke to a different foreigner named Chelsea, apparently there is no manager around if you ever want to speak with someone senior, my
Goods arrived 30hours later damaged, crushed boxes and damaged furniture, soiled mattress and stained cushions. The mover name Taran during pickup thought it was easy to roll the table on the floor Instead of moving it. Im now waiting to a confirmation whether I will have the job refunded and the damages to my items reimbursed. The experience has beeen completely shocking considering it was Christmas 3 days before all this happened. I time of joy, kindness, peace.

Tip for consumers:
The insane scenario the driver did not comprehend the severity of the scenario, and tried to make excuses for his conduct. AnyVan staff were far too nonchalant about the whole situation which is a concern.

They were provided with a full list of items to be moved. Cowboys showed up in a small transit van. Move therefore took 2 days instead of few hours. Expensive items were damaged along the way and despite paying for their removal insurance, Anyvan are giving me the run around and won't accept responsibility for the damaged items.

I recently had the misfortune of using AnyVan for a house move, and I must say that it was a wholly unsatisfactory experience from start to finish. The issues I encountered throughout the process were not only distressing but also indicative of a systemic problem within this company.

My initial concerns arose when the AnyVan team arrived for the move, and it was clear that they were ill-prepared for a task of the magnitude of a four-bedroom house with a double garage. They arrived with two small-sized removal vans that were inadequate for the job, demonstrating a severe underestimation of the workload.

The move was originally scheduled as a one-day operation, despite several other professional removal companies recommending a two-day move with a three-man crew. This decision placed undue pressure on the AnyVan team, resulting in a 12-hour ordeal that extended into the evening. This exhaustion and time constraint led to a noticeable decline in their care and attention towards the end of the day.

What's most concerning is that the Transport Providers, assigned by AnyVan, were expected to accomplish a two-day job in just one day. This was not realistically achievable and created an environment in which damages were more likely to occur.

Regrettably, during the move, my wooden furniture sustained significant damage. I firmly believe that the responsibility for this damage lies not only with the Transport Providers but also with AnyVan itself. Their decision to contract ill-prepared and unqualified staff for the job, who arrived without the necessary equipment, reflects a severe lack of professionalism.

Despite presenting a compelling case with evidence, AnyVan's response has been not only insulting but also dismissive of the legitimate concerns I raised. They have offered a settlement that is woefully insufficient and fails to address the extent of the damages and the associated inconvenience and financial burden.

To my dismay, AnyVan has chosen to uphold their stance without acknowledging the inherent flaws in their approach to my move. Their unwillingness to accept their mistake in underestimating the scope of the job and failing to provide adequately skilled and equipped personnel is a testament to their lack of accountability.

This entire experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with AnyVan, and I would caution anyone considering their services to think twice. In light of their response, I believe that prospective customers should be aware of the potential risks associated with entrusting AnyVan with their belongings during a move.

In my opinion, the derisory settlement offered does not come close to addressing the damage and distress caused by AnyVan's lack of preparation and professionalism. I now find myself seeking alternative avenues to rectify this situation and hold AnyVan accountable for their actions.

This experience has left me profoundly disappointed, and I hope that my review serves as a warning to others who may be considering AnyVan for their moving needs.

Tip for consumers:
The workers were exhausted as they were expected to work a long day, possibly 18 hours by the time they returned home. Other removal firms had quoted a two-day job, which it clearly was; however, AnyVan said they would provide the manpower to turn it into a one-day job. It was dark by the time they had finished unloading me from the two small vans and placed my property in my new house. They were tired and rushing by then, and I assume that's when the damage would have been caused.

The removals team they supplied were incompetent and the vehicle they supplied inadequate. They damaged almost every piece of furniture, ranging from large scratches, holes you can put your fist through to doors torn from cabinets. They caused over £2000 of damage and offered £76 in compensation. You'd be better off sticking a match to your existing furniture and buy it all again new.

My Mrs went online & up popped Anyvan.com read the reviews all 5 star so contacted by phone spoke to advisor & everything was sorted for our moving day ( so we thought)
When speaking to the advisor he sent out 30 boxes which he said would be refunded after the move
On the day of the move we were all boxed & ready to go, the back of 9 two lads turned up with a van that was no way big enough for a move of this magnitude ( hence the title)
I confronted them & in broken English they said there was another van coming!
On that note I let them commence with the move
As they went round the house they were taking photos of our furniture etc & the next thing I know is they can't take certain items because they were not in the infantry ie 1.kitchen table because it was marble 2.kingsize bed with tv because it was heavier than a normal bed 3.garden furniture because it had table & chairs
4.boxes that we bought that hung suits & dresses
The infantry did not point out that there were requirements for the size of a bed nor did it say they couldn't take a table because it was marble (which by the way it wasn't marble) nor did it specify that it could only take certain garden furniture or certain size of boxes
On that point I phoned the company up & spoke to someone in America who was no help whatsoever & we basically had to pay a extra £500 on top of what we were quoted
The two guys certainly understood English when there was more money involved
By the time they loaded up the van they're was no sign of the other van which they said was coming so basically I had to move stuff myself cos they're were people waiting to move into my place
Totally disgusted by the way we were treated from start to finish it took them 3 trips to move our house & like I said I move a lot of the items myself luckily the move was a half a mile away
Other things the guys didn't do was dismantle the beds & re-erected them which was stated by the advisor@ point of agreement plus they just dumped boxes on 1st floor of a 3 storey home all in all a shambles of a move which was meant to be a stressfree move

Absolute joke of a company, house removal service, took three attempts and dumped all my things in the kitchen! Avoid these lying people - driver said that I wanted all my items in the kitchen?! Despite me crying down the phone and offering him cash to please not leave my things like that and put them in the lounge. Customer service was useless, emails and return phone calls promised, eventually 10% refund offered, despite me having to take 2 days off work! Absolutely appalling! Avoid the stress and go elsewhere!

Van and drivers turned up on time. Had a different job list to the one I had updated online. Was charged £280 extra instead of £60 for a few extra items! Customer services - I had to contact on four occasions before being told there would be no refund as it was my fault I hadn't clarified the changes! No insight into my perspective, their faulty website or the stress and out of proportion extra charge. Very disappointing. I never leave bad reviews - but this feels such a rip off!

Gave AnyVan £125 to pick up an oak cabinet and deliver about 18 miles. They got to the job but refused to upload onto van as it was heavy. We were left high and dry. Apparently my fault they didn't have a sack barrow or set of wheels, even though they knew item was heavy and had all the dimensions. Didn't get a refund. Lost all our money. Avoid at all costs. Very unprofessional and extremely shady company. You have been warned.

The people we had were good, but we had a problem and had hoped to change the day. I was told twice last Sunday that someone would ring me back and one week later I am still waiting for the call back! Luckily I was able to sort the problem with the original driver. Not terribly impressed that the twice promised return call did nit happen.

After paying a considerable amount of money and having AnyVan confirming a time slot by text message the driver drove off and didn't complete the job. Customer services were absolutely not helpful and they got my money without doing the job in total £277 pounds and plus I had to incur in extra costs to do the job myself. Their website and text messages are deceiving and when things go wrong they just "steal" your money. You are better off to work with a local family service or rent a can yourself. DO NOT USE IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET YOUR MONEY STOLEN and get stuck.

18/09/2023 Today, I was contacted from Anyvan to cancel the house moving service I have arranged and paid for on 22/09/2023. That's just a few days away and their reason is that the quote they gave me is wrong and asked me to pay over £400 more if I want to keep this service.

First of all, the quote and discount have been applied and given to me by the staff via live chat. The staff who called Shaun (refused to give me his full name) tried to frame it as my fault as I did the quote online and the quote is not accurate up there. Indeed that's not my wrong and actually it is a quote from the staff directly so if that is inaccurate, the fault is theirs because of the human mistake. I have the chat history for your scrutiny. I don't see any reasons why I have to endure this suffering.

Honestly, you cannot just cancel on someone, especially moving is a big job to do and I never agree with it in the phone call. I demanded to speak to a senior manager as I see we are not going anywhere as they are not trying to be reasonable. Then Shaun claimed he is the one.

So the phone call ended with he is insisting to cancel and refund me without my approval.

I demand to have my arranged service back with the same quote and amount to pay.

If I could leave zero stars, I would! Stay well clear of this company. We paid them in full to collect some furniture from our shop and move it into storage. They turned up to the job, refused to do it, and then refused to give our money back! The customer service is atrocious and very unhelpful. I HIGHLY recommend you stay away from this company!
