I've been with Azure Standard for over 10 years. I love them. They are especially great if you live in an area where you can't get fresh organic produce and good healthy products like I was, but I'm in a big city now and I still rely on them for great products every month. Once in a while I get an organic produce item that has gone bad, just like I do from the grocery store. That's the problem with buying natural organic produce from anywhere. Azure has always been quick to refund my money when I call and explain the problem.

Look over correspondence to see what it was and how they handled it. So very sad. We no longer purchase anything from them we actually make our own brown rice flour now. We spent hours sifting out as much as we could to use the flour, and some we just tossed. I tried to make the email as big as possible, hope you can read it. Very disappointed with the service. I got a notification that my order was being shipped but then again today I got a notification that the Truck failed in the middle of the way. Very disappointed with the unreliable service.

My first experience with this Company became a bitter disappointment and dissatisfied experience.

I started using Azure about a year ago and it has been such a wonderful blessing to my family! Yes, sometimes I will order things and they will be out of stock by my cutoff date, which is frustrating, but I have learned how to gauge if it will be out of stock or not. My drop coordinator is also amazing and organized. It has been the best experience ordering from Azure! I will say, I live in Oregon, so my wait time is fairly minimal as their warehouse is only a few hours away.

Tip for consumers:
Customer Service was so helpful one time when I thought my card had cleared but it did not. She let me make the payment anytime within the week. It really saved my butt!

The customer service at Azure Standard is worse than any other online place I've shopped at, and falls short in comparison to even the large box chain stores. I purchased "heirloom organic" grains and they arrived with rodent feces. When I contacted the company they insisted it was vetch nitrogen balls. Even after sending pictures the company stood its ground and refused to offer any resolution other than to read their return policy guidelines and purchase small quantities first before making a large purchase to insure one likes their product first. I would NEVER Recommend this company, which is said to be operated under high moral standards while supplying quality organic products. My experience says uh…no, not regarding my concern anyway.

Their lack of concern for customer satisfaction

Our first order arrived with some of the grains spilled out into the bottom of the shipping box. (Maybe 1/3 of the grains.)
Also, we ordered a case of Clif Builder Bars that were within a few weeks of their expiration. Since we know the production date of the bars was about a year ago, these bars are stale.
We called to complain and they gave us a discount of 1/3 for the grains and 75% off of the Clif Bars.
The Clif Bars are going into the garbage so that is still a loss for us.
The customer service was pleasant and tried to be helpful, but you have to wonder about a company whose stated policy is to ship any item that is 2 weeks from its expiration date without warning to the customer.
I might point out that the bars were expensive - not a sale price - they charged FULL RETAIL for them. For old, stale product.
You'd be better off getting them from a local store or just about ANYWHERE else online.

Tip for consumers:
They need to stop selling stale, old product. A protein bar that is a YEAR OLD on the shelf is STALE. Period. Don't sell it unless you offer a steep discount and WARN customers that it is about to EXPIRE - especially when it is an entire CASE QUANTITY.

They sold me 200$ worth of moldy food and refused to refund or credit me. I had spent thousands with the co. Over many years only to be treated like complete garbage over $200?!
They are a horrible co and will never get another penny from me.

Ordered 5 lbs of black oil sunflower. After much speculation due to low reviews I gave them a try. Not disappointed at ALL. Germination in the 80% maybe ever 90%. Slightly slow growing but manageable. No mold issues!

Tip for consumers:
Spray with H202 after sewing, keep at 74 degrees with wight ontop. Lightly water once every other day

Called customer service and asked for credit for a box of produce, plastic container of grapes, plastic container of cucumbers and a cantaloupe. They say they don't guarantee produce shipped to Alaska. In the past I was given store credit.

They said to go no to credit and go to the shipper. So I'm out of the produce. Never had problems before to get credit. Been buying from them for around six years. It is azure fault for not individual boxing the fruit and vegetables in different boxes or the produce was going bad.

I've ordered bulk quantity from this company before with no issues and on my recent orders they canceled all of them without notice. Came out to find they banned my account from purchasing from them for no reason and was told that I must have a wholesale account with them because my orders were too large. So I went to open a wholesale account only to find they aren't accepting new wholesale accounts lol. What a way to do business. Can't say I'd ever want to do business with them again anyway seeing how poorly they treat legitimate customers. AVOID

They are always out of stuff but you won't know that until after you order, pay for your order, drive 45 minutes to the pick up, wait an hour for the truck to show up and then find half of your order missing. After you get home, you have to go through your order and try to get your money back for items they didn't deliver but charged you for, which will take weeks and several phone calls.

Recently they sent an email out with a home remedy for covid and encouraged me to follow them on racist right-wing extremists social media sites like Gab, Parler, USA. Life, Gettr and MeWe, which makes me think this isn't a company I should be doing business with.

I ordered something from the website. It doesnt say anything on the website that if your not available at the drop off time that they assign you that they will trash your order and items. That is what i was told today when i messaged someone and asked if my order was still available at Sams for pick up. I thought it would be left there to pick up at a later time. The person who responded to me was so rude. In addition to that, my order was not sent and the only thing they attempted to deliver was a flyer, not sure on how that happened either. Confirmation email stating my order was submitted got notification that it was being dropped off, I messaged the contact number that sent me the message and she said that it was my responsibility to be at the drop off location at the time or the items are disposed of. Then said messaging her days after the drop doesnt work? I said are you serious, she then said it wasnt shipped i can go online and check the status of my order. I made a comment about how she was rude and talking to me like that, she replied Im not rude, sorry if you dont like the truth. Everyone else knows the routine and they show up to the drops when they place orders? This is my first and very last time placing an order with this company but NONE of that was told to me when i placed the order to begin with.

Placed order of in stock items and waited weeks. Received confirmation email saying my order was on the truck and heading my way. The day before delivery I revived a text saying a guy driving a Honda Accord would meet me in a random parking lot (yes it resembled an episode of Breaking Bad). AND the 2 main items of my delivery were given to someone else so tough $%*! Try again next month but even if it says its in stock when you order it probably wont be when shipped. Since they never guarantee you will get what you ordered its all a crab shoot. AND remember you cant cancel what they do decide to send you. AND there are no refunds. AND you had better be at the drop off site on time even if they change that at the last minute. SO don't make any plans for a delivery that will probably never arrive and wont be complete if it does.

Everyone that I spoke with that is associated with Azure Standard has been extremely nice and helpful and kind. Their products are exactly what they advertise prices are great the quality is even better. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for the best for themselves and their families to utilize their services, they offer exactly what they say. Delivery exactly when they say it's truly a blessing in today's world to receive high quality products at a fair good price! Kudos

They sold me hundreds of pounds of seeds all rotten and stole all of my money. I called them on the same day of delivery and they wouldn't refund. I hope they get what they deserve. Low prices just to steal your money in the end. Evil Company. Needs to be sued and have multiple people file Legal Lawsuits and end this company once and for all.

I've placed an order, and I expected to pick it up at their location. Waiting for about 3 weeks and received an update that my order will be there by 2:30 this particular day. When I'm at the location, the place was close. I called to find out that my order was not even fulfilled. How can it be worse than that?

Update: 9/2021 they are doing better now and have been able to regularly get my order on time when I was expecting them, I ma also recieving my full orders again and the items on the web have been ones I can order. I enjoy that they reuse boxes for shipping to reduce waste. Plus they packaged things very well.

Placing an order and not receiving the whole order is a BIG no no in my opinion. For the last couple months it has become more of a problem than in the past. Some people have animals to feed, business to run. When we order something that says its in stock, and we don't receive it, and only get a notification that you wont receive it the day before the delivery, it becomes a problem. Your company has become an unreliable delivery system. I cannot gamble with your companies lack of fulfilment. When I see that you want to expand to deliver to other areas, while not being able to figure out the area they are currently serving. Goodbye

To begin, there are very little savings you acquire on most products. It is only when there is a sale that you receive any savings. The biggest problem with this company is that before you place your order, they do not give you a specific drop date or time. This would be fine if the host sites were available after working hours to allow you to pick up your products if you hold a job. But at some host sites- like the one closest to my house- she requires you to be there to pick up the products at delivery and will not hold them for you. In otherwords, they don't give you a time or date for the drop before you order, and if you are working at a job (such as a hospital like me) where you cannot leave, they expect you to arrange a friend or family member to be there to get the order because the host will not hold it for you. How does this even make sense as a business model? You can only sell to people who don't have a job or have one person who has few enough responsibilities at their job that they can leave to pick up the order mid-day.

In addition, they have very poor customer service

I'm honestly confused by all the the reviews. Most of them seem like the result of ordering from a company having not read anything in their policies and then being caught off guard by it. There is a solution to this. Quite simply, read the operating procedure. Don't want to unload the truck? Tough. Find another company that will charge you 50 dollars per 30 pound bag of grain you order and get it straight to your door. I have done multiple orders through Azure and simply being diligent and checking the stock of each item in the different amounts allows you to alter which one you want to put in your cart up to the cut off and makes it much more likely you'll get the item. Don't get it? Again, tough. I imagine the volume this company is dealing with is insane. Hate to say this because I generally love my interactions with other Azure customers but these people leaving reviews seem exceptionally spoiled by modern convenience. Keep doing what you're doing Azure, we truly appreciate you.

Tip for consumers:
Up until the cutoff time, check the items in your cart to see if they are running out of stock. Say the 25 pound bag of corn is almost out...Delete the 25 pound bag and replace it with 5 of the 5 pound bags if there are more of them. You won't always get every item, but this certainly helps.

So this company has the oddest and most difficult practice ever. So if you get drop shipped you need to send multiple employees to unload a whole truck of grain. So that's 40-60 a hr to pay employees to unload everyone else's shipment. Most ridiculous thing ever. That's just the beginning, they won't even process your order for a week.if you expecting product in a timely manner this is not the company for you. Then after they finally run your card it's another 3-5 days processing more before it gets shipped. Now since they don't run your card during purchase you have no idea the cost because it changes for shipping depending on who you talk to. So when they finally get around to processing you never know what your charged. I have not even received the order yet because they don't reach out and tell you that it takes days for them to move. So if your expecting to just pay and have product shipped for arrival on a certain date it's not going to happen. So I'm having to delay my customers another week because of this. As for quality of the product I can't say because it's all a week behind because of them. So it could be ground properly or a mess, I cannot say yet. I can say I will never order through this company again.

Tip for consumers:
I would look elsewhere to buy any grain or flour from these people. Nothing is done in a timely manner and you never know the cost. Also be prepared to unload a truck full of other companies stuff if you use their drop.

Azure Standard is one of a number of places from whom I buy organic food. I think organic supply chains can be more dependable & less subject to the vagaries of conventional food. There are some quirks about how they fulfill orders when stock is low, but by buying bulk they can provide a true hedge against sharply escalating food prices. I really enjoy the high quality nuts they sell (Brazil, peanuts, pecan pieces.) And they have some excellent rices, bulk beans & grains. I like that you have the choice of buying in larger or smaller quantities. Also love their selection of raw goat cheeses. The drop is close to my house. Dispersion of the delivery is fast. And it's easy to contact a live person at the company for help.

Tip for consumers:
If there is a good sale, buy those items immediately, or the price can change if you wait. If you're concerned about their running out of certain items that are low stock, wait to order those items till the last day & adjust your order to items that have more items in stock. Early ordering is not the criteria for your receiving an item, priority is always given to those orders going out ahead of yours.

I honestly do not know how this company stays in business. Their setup and system for distribution is not clearly outlined on their website in a way that a busy Mom like myself can find when all I want is to simply order basic products for my family. I found out the pickup time only a few days before pickup, because again, I did not see anything on the website throughout my process of adding things to my cart and purchasing them that would outline the process for the drop off/pickup. The entire purpose of doing the pickup option was to save money on shipping… I didn't find out about the 8% shipping fee for the pickup orders until I reached out later to ask what this charge was for. My pickup time was announced only two days before…As a mom of a newborn baby and very busy toddler who has a specific daily routine, this was frustrating to see my pickup time show up in my email 2 days before. I found out later that this information was on the website, but after the fact, I had to dig through their website to find where this was outlined. No customer should have to search and search for basic things like their basic business practices. It should be clearly stated on the main page of the website so there is no room for confusion.

The pickup time was during my child's naptime and I had no childcare. Thankfully, a family member was able to rearrange their busy work day to travel all the way to the pickup location in Thornton. She called the number of the pickup coordinator to let them know she was stuck in traffic and was running about 2 minutes behind. The coordinator, Jessica Wurtsbaugh, was unbelievably rude and told her that they were already unloading the truck and if she didn't get there on time, they would throw the products back on the truck. She arrived there on time, thankfully, but when she arrived, no truck was in sight. She called the coordinator and asked her where the truck was, since she had said it was there and was being unloaded. Jessica said, "I don't know. I'm not in the truck with them." So, this lady explicitly lied, then was incredibly rude and defensive and very unhelpful.
Then, when the truck arrived extremely late, the customers were expected to unload every single product on the big semi! Why on earth are customers expected to unload the truck after paying an additional 8% for having the products shipped to the location? It makes zero sense. I understand that there are staffing shortages, but good grief, you can't find one extra person to help the truck driver unload things?
While unloading, one man picked up one of my big products, and threw it down on the ground outside of the truck, instead of handing it to my family member standing there waiting to receive that item. Another lady was standing by and commented that she had no idea that this was the system for pickup… and that this was her first time purchasing from Azure and it would definitely be her last. Another man there had his entire big bag of product (I believe it was sugar) bust open and spill all over the truck. So, I am not the only one to have this experience where things were not clear for them or simply having an overall bad experience. This is not an isolated incident, as I am seeing with other comments here. I will never purchase from Azure Standard. Ever again. I honestly cannot fathom how anyone dreams up this business plan where customers unload the semi that rarely arrives on time and details are not clearly communicated. Azure definitely needs to rethink their structure and reorganize things. It would also be wise to find some better coordinators who are more professional with customers. This was a very disappointing experience. It will certainly be my last experience with Azure!

Tip for consumers:
Whenever you go to add things to your cart, there is no guarantee you will receive these items. I ordered black beans, and didn’t find out until two days before the drop off that the product was no shipped. So, I have received no black beans…and the beans were the main reason I decided to order from them.

My first time attempting to order from Azure Standard. I ordered some products that were in stock at the time of my order - their web site indicated there were many dozens of the items available and I only ordered 4. I waited several weeks for my order to ship on their next truck to my location, but when it came time to ship my order, the items were no longer in stock and did not ship.

I spoke with customer service and they indicated that placing an order doesn't actually hold any product. You can place all the orders you want, but nothing is held for you and the items are freely available for other people to buy. If other people's orders ship before yours and the items you ordered go out of stock, you're out of luck. The next truck to my location is now 28 days away, so even if I place another order, it's a roll of the dice whether it will actually be fulfilled. The only way to find out is to place the order, wait and hope for the best.

This is a really poor way to run a business. I waited weeks for products I could have bought elsewhere, only to be told the items were no longer in stock and weren't going to ship to me. Unfortunately I won't be attempting to do business with this company ever again.

Ordered safflower oil for daughter. Rec'd invoice showing organic fruits and Vegas for twice original order. Call to cancel the latter. No one there to answer phone. Left two voice messages with phone number…no call. Poor customer service. Last order for me!
