The first review says it all. No way to contact the company after you've paid them.

I was hit on February 10,2016 by one of their insured person, i had a written stament of the lady who hit me! She ran a four way stop sign by my house and like always there's alway an excuse of this story but any way I had called the next day and did my statement over the phone and then they send me a paper to fill it in and I did. I send proves of her insurance with her name on it and her drivers license with her writing stament on her copy of her insurance and pictures of the accident, I did not did a police report because they told me just to get all her info and called her insurance. After I send every proof they need it Maria Rocha the person who does the adjustment and she told me in a bad mood that my case was declined and stared yelling at me over the phone for no reaso and I couldn't ask her a question because she had already yeld at me and Hangup on me. After calling her back and and left a thousand voice messages to her and her supervisor still no response so I had to call the regular phone line and one of their representatives told me that their adjuster said a whole different story of which I don't get why will she declined everything of which I have proofs and she dosent have nothing at all. So today May 10,2016 I recived a phone call from Maria Rocha after two months and left a lot of voice messages again just for her to tell me that my case was denied again because theirs not enough proofs like seriously what also are you going to come up with. She said she look up where was the accident and it's only showing one stop singing! How can you see one stop sing on a four way stop like seriously... So what I did I went to the TDI website to see if they can helped me it's so frustrated because I been with out a car for 3 months and my car it's not drivable. This insurance needs to be out of business for reals.

I have used the AA - of which I have been a member for some 4 decades - for both pre-purchase car inspections and breakdown services. Disappointingly, I have noticed that their service has become increasingly user-unfriendly, sluggish (untimely & convoluted), difficult to access & bureaucratically nonsensical/annoyingly unhelpful i.e. Providing a worsening service for increasing membership fees. For car inspection services, I have recently used a major service provider which delivered a service every bit as good as the AA's but at 60% of the cost. Additionally, unlike the AA, it was very easy to book an inspection. The AA invariably had me fill in lots of details only to tell me that I had to call an operator, who then, for various contrived reasons, ended up charging me more than the online estimate. Today, I called to book a breakdown service on my app, but the robot kept insisting that I do so online or on my app. When I tried the latter, I was unable to login. I wasted no less than 40 minutes trying to get through. It seems to be clear that the AA whilst revelling in its large membership numbers is patently failing to upgrade its infrastructure and capacity. I am now looking at their biggest competitor with a view of joining them - and terminating my AA membership. The AA truly has gone down the pits; adding insult to injury.
PS: I finally got through to an AA operator who proceeded to tell me that (even though my car is taxed) because the MOT had run out a short while before (I have been away for over a month, and today was the first time I driven the car), that they could only transport the car to a garage at my expense! Why would I do that when I know that the AA charges a premium on everything they do?!

Tip for consumers:
Don’t!! There are far better alternatives out there. Biggest is certainly NOT best in the case of the AA!

I contacted the HIC insurance company for an agreed valuation on my modified car, I provided all the receipt's and photo's they asked for which added up to more than what i wanted to insure it for. They then sent me a form for me to acquire an independent valuation on the car, which meant i had to phone around to find someone suitable to do this, then spend a morning going to the garage to get this report. The independent valuation was more than what i valued the car at and even then HIC want to insure it for £4500 less than the independent valuation. This is a joke i caution anybody to shop around for an insurance company that knows about modified vehicles because these people obviously haven, t got a clue!

14 months ago, I had a bad water leak, which ruined by fully equipped bedroom and ensuite in France. Lucky for me, it was in my next door house which I used for my visiting friends and relatives, and it was disused at the time. It was insured with Allianz France regrettably, and it took them a full 2 months to inspect the damage, of which the ceiling came down, the walls ruined, black mould set in, and all my expensive contents, broken, and ruined. The female agent, who didn't actually talk to you, but in a argumentative tone, seemed to agree with most of the claim, but thought I should have dragged the sodden bed mattress outside to dry. What was the point, it was soaked with dirty water, and it would take 10 days for it to dry (we never get more than 3 days without rain), and then all it would be fit for is to burn, it can't be cleaned. When my brokers contacted me, they said I would get nothing for my contents, because I didn't take enough action to save them, and they only agreed to a small proportion of the builder's costs. I asked them to explain to me what, and how I could save my furniture. I then got an email agreeing to pay half my contents of my then 3,000 contents claim, at 1030 euros, and was paying that amount into my account. Where did they learn to count? I seemed to hit a brick wall, my brokers did nothing, and I couldn't contact Allianz. I then got lucky, and contacted Allianz UK, after being shunted around a few times, I came across Roy Exton, head of Allianz international claims, and a really nice man. He got Allianz to send another agent around, and not only did he agree to everything, but spotted building work I hadn't claimed for. Allianz agreed to pay for the full building work, and give me 2000 euros for my contents. The content bill actually by then rose to 4,600 with other items I hadn't initially spotted. Again, they were not paying the vast majority of the replacement costs, using the same excuse. I asked the to tell me what I could have saved, but they didn't bother to reply. It's a bull$#*! excuse to avoid paying the full costs, and I reminded them it took their original agent 2 months to turn up, they're useless. This had dragged on for 14 months and counting. So whilst you think you are insured with Allianz, you're only partly. I have seen many other instances of Allianz's use of fake excuses to not pay out, they're a micky mouse company, avoid them, use a reputable insurance company.
