At the scene, they admitted that they did not have the reservation in their system and tried to request an explanation and refund from Carflexi. The company in El Calafate gave me a dirty truck, in the bed of the truck I transported my suitcases all on the pavement and when I picked them up they were all full of dirt. In other words, they didn't wash it. In addition to having the engine light on so they can check it and the man told me not to worry because nothing was happening, the best part is, when the right headlight doesn't come on and I send it to him via WhatsApp and he tells me to come in for a lubricentro and have it changed, you pay for it and don't forget to bring the ticket so they can reimburse you. He never asked me where it was, if there was somewhere nearby for him to change it, etc. as if I, in addition to paying more than 100 USD per day, were their employee. No one and no way to contact CarFlexi at all.

Dreadful. We arrived early evening to collect a car that barely resembled what had been promised. Scratches and dents everywhere - difficult to see in the evening but clearly loads. The car had done almost 100,000 on the clock. It struggled between gears and going uphill. At one stage my partner had to get out of the car in order for it to get to the top of the hill. No alarm either.
We had the lock of the boot (trunk) easily picked and all our belongings stolen including passports etc.
When we complained about the car at the end of the week, they were evasive and slippery. It took ages for our complaint to be referred up the line. We eventually got through to a Mr Perez. I asked him via email whether it was company policy to issue a car with 100,000 on the clock and scratches all over. He avoided (repeatedly) answering the question, refused to compensate us for a substandard car on the technicality that we had not complained about it during the week despite the circumstances of us losing all our belongings, dealing with police and trying to get new passports etc
A truly dreadful company. If you look thoroughly on line at other customers feedback such as trustpilot, you will realise that this is a recurring theme with Amigo rental in Costa Rica. Choose a different company would be my best advise as we have been completely ripped off by them and Car Flexi (who brokered for them) should hold their heads in shame too
I totally understand that every middle man takes their cut, but when it comes to this lot they are very sneaky not to mention upfront on the booking page the exuberant deposits held by car rental BECAUSE we book through carflexi. And it it is hidden neatly under the terms and conditions tab... Not very upfront and open... and they take their fee upfront. Sneaky very sneaky. 24h and less bookings through them not reommended because you will pay dearly for changing your mind.

After booking and paying online, I was refused the rental of the car by the car rental company for wrong reasons I asked them for a refund of my booking since it was the car rental who refused the rental agreement, Carflexi took their time to check and I had to insist on social network for them to move, but in the end they refunded me. So I am satisfied with their customer service
After reading the negative reviews from all of CarFlexi customers, I feel so relieved that I did not proceed finalising my booking with them. I could really feel how upset and disappointed when our rental car is not available despite being confirmed and full payment is completed. It ruins our holiday mood and plan. That's not the way to do business for CarFlexi by ignoring the customers high and dry in a foreign land, it is indeed a SCAM.
They will show you prices that are so low to make you spend money on a deposit once you get the to the desk the real rental company will then triple your costs for you and if you refuse to rent they will keep the deposit. SCAM STAY AWAY

When I arrived at the Warsaw airport (late Friday, 22nd December 2023), I did my due diligence to follow the instructions featured in their booking voucher; however, I was UNABLE to get through to anyone from their office (using the number provided on the voucher) for over one hour. When I finally got through to their emergency department (the only one that did nor feature AI response), I was told my booking had been unsuccessful and - falsely reassured - no deposit had been taken.
Consequently, I had to frantically look for another company to rent another car (which - considering the time of the night and Christmas rush - was extremely difficult).
Guess what?
The deposit (£72.62) was taken from my account, I was lied to, and now I am having extreme difficulties with getting it back as some overseas (NOT POLAND!) based office is doing it all to fob me off.
STAY AWAY!

Awful. No car and no compassionAfter travelling from Australia to USA (36 hour trip) I stood in line for an hour for the car I had booked. When I got to the front of the line I was told there were no more cars available and to write my name down on a scrap of paper and that we'd be called in order of our names on the paper. I ended up finding another car (Shout out to Alamo for saving the day... albeit at a cost). When I tried to get a refund I was told I'd turned up late (I was there on time but waiting in line caused me to get to the counter late) and that I'd been told I'd lose my money because I chose to cancel the booked (I was told nothing other than "we have no cars so write your name and number on this piece of paper and we'll call you when a car is ready"). I was travelling with a small child and had a final 2 hour drive after the 36 hours of airport stop overs and flights. I could have forgiven the no car (things happen) but the lies and terrible treatment from customer service were on a whole other level. DO NOT USE CARFLEXI!

I rented a car at the Casablanca airport, assuming the tank was full, as per the company's Fair Fuel Policy: tank full on pickup/ drop off. But immediately, I had to put $76 of gas into it.
Of course, I filled the tano for return, as per the policy. When I pointed out the tank was empty on pickup and I wanted a refund, they said I'd been told it was empty ( no memory of that) and my cntract--full of illegible sprawls-- indicated such.
Protracted battle ensued with parent company to get refund. Renting/ returning car with NO gas is absurd: what if I miscalculated when the car was empty and ran out of gas 2 hours before my flight home? I assume my full tank upon return was siphoned off into the employees' tanks.
Company is violating its own written contract re the full tank fuel policy. And they believed the cheating franchisee over me, the client. How many other people are caught in this scam?

The arrival was very unpleasant. At the aerport was a man who was very unfreandly. At the arrivel at the car pick up point the mister was very unflexible and very unfreandly. It took us more then 45 minutes to get the car. I was sure the men would sleep in the next second.
At the moment to give back the car, the car point was very helpful, very fast driving back to the airport, very good, very friendly. Thanks for the experience from the back giving.
Rented a car to receive at Salalah airport Oman paid by credit card, upon the our arrival found the car does not meet our order (6 usable seats) as two rear seats were not usable. Rejected it and asked for the right car otherwise requested to cancel the order. So far struggling with them to get my money back, needless to mention that this incident ruined our holiday as a family plus caused stress, anxiety and sufferings of all of us.

They claim that as long as optional extras like additional driver and child seat etc. are chosen during the booking, they are included in the final price payable at the car rental place. This is not true!
The rental location will add them IN ADDITION to the price quoted which supposedly already includes them.
Even when the receipt says they are included they just don't care.
I have been fighting this issue with them for two weeks and they absolutely refuse to honor their own website info and promises.

If there was a minus 100 star I would use it.
Shocking that the car rental company at Brussels-Zaventem Airport (Alamo/enterprise rent a car) could not pick up that we had paid a deposit, could not pick up what car we had requested (suv/VW T-Cross or similar and wanted to give us a Mini Cooper; with 4 bags!) and did not seem to understand that we had chosen all the insurance and all we had to pay "at the desk' was an amount of Euro 636.08 but we landed up paying Euro 1101.56 overall. The gentleman manning the Alamo desk was rude, dismissive, and told us that he could not actually "see" our booking, which is ridiculous. Can you imagine if Trivago/Bookingdot com/Agoda/Vrbo etc were not connected to Nightsbridge and the establishments they work with, they would not be able to see if a client has booked when they come to check in. We also "extended" our car hire with the company at Brussels-Zaventem Airport; yet on the original return date we received a notice from Carflexi saying we have to return our car.
And there you have it, the systems do not work in conjunction with each other.
Obviously they will come back with a response...BUT.
I will give kudos to the gentleman who received our car when we returned it. Courteous and friendly.

I have held the Philippine driver's license as a foreigner for over 10 years. Nowhere did it state that they ONLY accept Professional Driver Licenses. The car was NOT handed over. Just keep the deposit. Both the contact person at the counter and the contact person on the voucher provided the information by email to request the refund. Declined! The Thai driver's license, also a member of the ASEAN countries, in English, was not accepted either. This is willful fraud.

Stay away from Carflexi, they are only out to get the deposit and keep it without giving anything in return.

We made a reservation over Carflexi for Mytilene visit. In fact, a local agency there called Billy's Rentals rents cars through Alamo. He didn't give me a car because my license was old. We told him another friend there, who has a new driver's license, that we should rent the vehicle that was already available, but he said there was no vehicle. He referred us to another fraudulent company. As we hugging a snake that fell into the sea, we had to take the last remaining vehicle at an exorbitant price in the July temp, even though it was without air conditioning. Moreover, I did not get back the 40€ I paid to Carflexi upfront. They went to great lengths not to return it, even there is no valid and strong reason in their terms and conditions, then finally, the driver's license came to the point that it was not written in Latin characters and was worn out, so they rejected it! You should stay away from Carflexi.
When I arrived to pick up the car in Tallinn, the rental company had not received the booking although I had all the booking codes and all. They booked me the car straight from the desk at the same price and said that when the booking comes through they will cancel it for me and Carflexi will refund the booking fees. The rental company was nice and professional and all was good with the car. They informed me about the cancellation when the booking came through and assured refund would be processed.
After countless emails between the rental company and Carflexi for 2 months, no confirmation that I will ever receive back my booking fees, regardless of the fact that the rental company has asked them to process it and that it was never my fault. All emails I receive from Carflexi are to find a reason why it's my fault and how to avoid paying back 164 euros. Loss of earnings now also for the car rental as I am a regular long-term renter and have now again rented a car through a different provider for 5 weeks.

They are working with different rental companies which are not all honest and reliable.
First time I booked with them all went smoothly.
Second time I booked it was Firefly. They are scammers. They are systematically fleecing the customers by adding extra costs and insurance even if a full insurance package is booked. So the final amount is way higher than the amount on indicated on the voucher. I have informed carflexi about this but they don't feel resposible.
This is the first time that I used Carflexi to rent a car and I felt really disappointed!
After I received the confirmation for my order I went to pick up my car, but the Car rental provider refused to give me the car and told me there is no free car at this time and (Carflexi) is offering cars without checking the availability!
This incident ruined my plan, So I request a full refund for my payment.

Cancellation option had been included during reservation. No rental took place, and they refused to refund money, saying that I didn't call them straight away-what I did, but nobody picked up the call at 2 am in the night! They just charge me without provide any service for rental, even with additional cancellation fee - no refund done.

Competitively priced for North America, but a well hidden opt-out tick box on their web page leads to unwanted and overpriced excess insurance being automatically added to your final purchase. Make sure you un-check the box if you don't want it, because cancellation leads to a long wait for a refund (they claim they'll refund with 14-30 days, but it's way past that and I'm still hassling them). Next stop the credit card company.
Serious, I have waiting since sommer 2022 for get my money. I paid for car for 7 pers. And I get a car for 5 for a family with 7 members.I had to pay a lot of money for an extra car in a high season.They don't answer the phone, it takes months, they answer a mail... rent a car direct, don't use carflexi, It isn't worth it...trust me
