“So disappointed”

It is of no pleasure that I must write this message concerning your location City Works at City Place (Doral, FL); last night Sunday on Mother's Day 2017, my family and I which we were a group of 14 (final bill was over $400) did not enjoy at all our first visit to this restaurant. It all started around 6pm which we did have reservations and 6 of us arrived first, and just to add the place was not full. For starters our server was probably one of the worst I have ever experienced, and I have eaten at many different restaurants from miami to palm beach. I really can't remember if he even introduced himself, and on top of that he didn't suggest any drink specials or mention anything about the appetizers. After ordering some simple beers it took 20 minutes to receive them and the place or the bar was not full. Finally after getting the beers, the server still didn't mention the appetizers, so we asked him if we could order some. We ordered 2 appetizers of the same kind (nachos) and it took another 20 minutes to get them and they were soggy and cold. Around this time the others of my family arrived and it seems the table didn't have enough glasses with water and not enough silverware. We had to end up requesting those things from the server which seemed extremely fluster every time we asked him for something and making very rude facial expressions. The rest of my family ordered their drinks which took another 30 minutes to get and while we were waiting the server took our order but never suggested anything from the menu but definitely was quick to say certain items that the kitchen had run out of or were in low storage. Overall our server just had a negative demeanor and when we mentioned it to a near by server nothing was done because no manager at anytime came to our table. After about an hour is when we received our entrees and the food was cold, soggy, and tasted horrible. Bottom line is that we were all very disappointed with the service, food, and prices. A request was made to speak with the general manager and we mentioned to him all the disappointments we had experienced. His solution I believe was not just (20% off final check), and there was no reason for us to have experienced such an unsatisfying time especially on such an important day. I'd like to be able to experience this restaurant under different circumstances and believe that a just compensation is in place to give for our undeserved horrible moment at your restaurant.
