The site works good. I live in Michigan and there are lots of projects here. All you need to do is search before you sign up to see what is available in your area. They offer a free trial which is great. I don't know how somebody could think a free trial is bad, oh well.
If you want to get ripped off join for the 15 day trial period. You might as well you hand them your money and walk away, it's less stressfull that way. This site is a joke, you'll get leads from across the atlantic, it's a joke, "seriously"
