I was nervous about buying from Cuddledown, as they have horrible company ratings right now. My first experience with them was not great either--I called to ask a question about the product I wanted to purchase, and I was transferred twice and finally disconnected. I eventually found the answer online myself. When they had a double discount for Valentine's day for the items I wanted, I convinced myself that if I didn't receive the items in a timely fashion, I could just file a dispute with my credit card company and get a refund. I went ahead and made the purchase of the Silver Dollar Eucalyptus duvet cover and two shams. No estimated delivery date was provided, so I didn't know what to expect. I checked my order status, and within a few days it indicated that the items had been shipped. It took just under 2 weeks to receive them, and this just after the ice storm that covered the midwest and Texas in snow and ice, and disrupted shipping times nationwide. I was pleased. The items themselves are just as described. The colors are vibrant, and the fabric is soft--so soft and silky feeling, I halfway suspected it was not 100% cotton as described. I did a wrinkle test, and I measured the duvet cover before and after washing. It is definitely cotton. After washing the fabric did not have the silky feel as before, but it is still very soft. The only drawback is that I ordered an oversized Queen (96"x96"), and it shrunk to barely justify that designation (92"x94"). I'm just glad I didn't order the duvet insert yet, so I can look for one that will fit it properly. Overall I'm happy with the product, and at least in my experience, Cuddledown doesn't deserve the bad rap it has been getting lately... although I would do something about the telephone customer service, if I were them. One last note: I did sign up for the VIP club just to see how it worked. Maybe they've changed how it works, but it doesn't seem possible to "accidentally" sign up for it, as some reviewers have stated. I'm going to cancel it, though, so I will update if I have a problem.

Ordered comforter in November and The last of December I called to check on it. I was told that it was no longer available. In January it arrived. I used their shipping label and took it to Fed ex to return. Cuddledown says it was never received. $659 down the drain. Poor customer service. Wish I had read reviews before I did business with them.

Ordered comforter in November and The last of December I called to check on it. I was told that it was no longer available. In January it arrived. I used their shipping label and took it to Fed ex to return. Cuddledown says it was never received. $659 down the drain. Poor customer service. Stay away. Outsourced call center to try and help me. Messed up the order, charged me for extra shipping but order was still only standard shipping, had a problem with my billing address where they needed additional information from me but never reached out until I inquired about where my order was. After waiting a week, she told me that the verification process / remainder of order processing would take another 5 - 7 business days. I said to cancel the order and she did. I explained that I would very much like to give them the chance to explain their side of the story, they declined. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, they said there wasn't any available. I said, "I'm getting ready to write a review on this experience, is there anything you would like to share", she did nothing to try to retain me as a potential customer and said, "Have a good day" click. Haven't dealt with service this bad even if I was buying something far less **AIRQUOTE** luxury. Dumpster fire of a company.

I've bought from Cuddledown off and on through the years (20+) and have ALWAYS been satisfied. Would have bought more, and more often but, busy lives, missed the sales, etc. Yes, they can be pricey but I've learned that you get what you pay for and if you buy lesser quality you just end up dissatisfied and have to replace things often. They make the best quality down comforters in a good range of "warmth" levels.
I have found employees on the phone to be cheery and helpful. Sounds like they like working there. If I ever win the lottery my big splurge won't be a car but one of their eiderdown comforters! I spend way more time in bed than in the car!

Tip for consumers:
Get on the mailing/catalogue list so you can shop the sales, usually after each season.

Products used:
German flannel nightgown that is absolutely the coziest, warmest one ever, sateen sheets, real linen sheets, voile sheet, wool slippers and several comforters. Happy with all of them.

Wonderful products! Customer Service is beyond poor. Bad attitudes, poor communication skills and lack of empathy. The coarse, rude behavior can destroy this corporation. Literally was mocked by Eileen and she was laughing at me. It wasn't until I used her name much later into our conversation, did she realize she needed to respond as an adult. She cut the phone conversation off so I would be unable to answer the survey question.

Tip for consumers:
Hold the customer service personnel accountable. Write down their name and do the survey if they don't cut your phone call off before the survey.

Still waiting on the items. However, purchased 2 orders. Included 2 XL twin flannel cotton mattress protectors. Pillows.

Order delayed due to address issue. When I called, I wanted to know which items were still available- because their shipping is very high. Rep put me on hold and said all items were still available. Pushed back as didn't see on site and didn't want to pay exorbitant shipping. Again, told available so I authorized card. Was charged $92 for $63 gown. Overcharged for shipping. Shipping Outrageous for 1 item. Rep LIED to me. No response yet from Customer service about order.

I wouldn’t bother unless item on sale and cant find elsewhere.

The biggest error was buying the overpriced blanket. Beyond that, I was charged $14.95 for some cuddledown "coupon savings". Under no circumstances would I pay extra for the promise of future coupons. After trying to get a refund from both cuddledown and he company they contract with for this coupon scam, I have received no reply. They sell your personal information. Do not make a purchase from this company

I liked my duvet, however, the buttons were not securely attached. I had to re-sew all of them on. I lost a button so I contacted customer service and they refused to send one ONE button. They told me to "go to the store" where I bought it which is closed due to the pandemic. So needless to say, I will not be buying from this company again anytime soon. A lovely way to treat your customers Cuddledown, and MAYBE sew the buttons on better so I don't have to waste my time! Really...?

I ordered a quilt and 4 shams. The order went through the website without problem. I then received the package containing only the shams and a note stating the quilt was no longer available. There was a shipping charge of $36.80 ( was free shipping with the quilt included). So now I have to send the shams back at an additional cost of $10.95. So I have been charged $47.75 for absolutely nothing, and the inconvenience of having to ship it back and confirm the reversed charges. This is terrible customer service. I should have been notified and given the option to cancel the order. I have many Cuddledown products but will not purchase from them again.

I ordered a set, bedspread and matching shams from Cuddledown. Within a day of receiving the shams, I was informed the bedspread was no longer available. I returned the no longer useful shams after being told over the phone that my shipping would be refunded since they cancelled the bedspread. I re-ordered a set in another color. Long story short, I didn't get the shipping credit of $25.99. I called and they went round and round without a clear explanation. And to make it worse, the 2nd set I got at full price is now heavily discounted and that's within about a month. They don't seem to care much about their customers. Poor customer service so won't be purchasing there again. Buyers beware.

I ordered a nightgown for my 90 year old mother on January 1st. After two emails, four phone calls to their offshore call center a manager finally got the order shipped. Almost a month for an in stock item.

Assume it may take a lot of emails, calls to get shipping info.

My order never arrived. I phoned customer service. Turns out, they cancelled it without telling me. Why? There was an "error" in my billing address, because they couldn't figure out that DC means District of Columbia.
Once that was resolved, the rep — whose English was heavily accented and had clearly never heard of Washington DC - subjected me to an aggressive, lengthy and incomprehensible sales pitch for some sort of discount program involving other stores. I said "No I don't want it." So she cranked up the pitch all over again, only more aggressive. I am concerned that I may have been scammed and will be hacking my credit card statement carefully.

Great product, terrible customer service and terrible communication. We ordered a matched set of bedding and they sent out a partial order and said the rest we would never get. In other words, you are stuck with a mismatched set. How stupid. And then they wanted to charge us to send the useless partial set back. This is a tremendous disappointment since we have purchased pillows and comforters from them for 15 to 20 years.

Maybe it's not for everyone, but 5% cash back from stores such as Walmart, Sephora, Lowe's, and hundreds of others definitely is worth $14.95 a month for me. Also the shipping rebates are incredible. I know it's a shock to see that on your bank statement every month if you didn't sign up for it, but before freaking out and thinking someone is out to get you, maybe think about if you might be able to use this service. (Also, it doesn't hurt to review your bank statement every month and then ASK about charges.) I mean of course they should tell you, but did you sign up for it for the free shipping and not pay attention? NO I do not work there and I only purchased blankets for Christmas presents one time. (They ended up being perfect.)

Cuddledown has boasted for years manufactured in Maine... because that sounds all American and maybe a long long time ago they did but they deserted the "Made in the USA" for cheaper labor. They sicken me... now in Corona crisis they were not able to produce a product I ordered. Shame on them... they are not a proud US manufacturer. They are a fraud. I'm sure their ancestors would be ashamed.

PLEASE DO THINK TWICE about ever doing business with this horrible company! I placed an order, gave my credit card information, and was promised delivery within a week on November 17,2022. Two weeks later...still NO ORDER. When I called to inquire, I was passed from one to 6 DIFFERENT CSR's! On to a supervisor, who claimed the order was "cancelled" but REFUSED to give me my money back or EXPLAIN "who" cancelled my Christmas order! NEVER trust them with your information!

Tip for consumers:
Do not trust Cuddledown at ALL .....there are hundreds of other pillow and comforter stores!

This is my third order. First comforter took 5+ weeks to deliver from MA to CA. Granted it was ordered on Nov 22nd, but was delivered first week of January. Love the comforter. Now instead of using FED Ex ground where a tracer can be placed, they are using FED Ex smartPost. Inferior if you want to see your package before week 3 or 4. This SHOULD be posted on their website! And four+ weeks shipping anywhere in the continental US seems absurd. Use 2-day and pay the $15, hopefully they will send your package 2-day!

Tip for consumers:
Use 2 day shipping if you want to see your package within 2 weeks from delivery!!

9 days after ordering an "in-stock" item they cannot get it shipped, saying Fed Ex has not picked it up. Cancelled the order, they they say it can take 6 weeks for a refund. Chargeback time.

In checking on delivery date of my purchase, I finally got to that part of the robot's spiel and it told me that my order had been shipped and I should expect it to be delivered on January one,1900. Do they really deliver on New Year's Day?

I got sheets 3/2022, they were ok, always look wrinkled.
THEY SCAM YOU BY GIVING FREE SHIPPING BY BEING A MEMBER (OF WHAT?)
THEY CHARGE YOUR ACCOUNT $13.81 EVERY MONTH (17mo X $13.81=$234.77) that is what I paid for shipping
Thought the free shipping for spending over $100. It is NOT CLEAR THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR BANK MONTHLY.
I SET MY BANK TO NOTIFY ME OF CHARGES 2 MONTHS AGO TO FIND THESE CHARGES.
I'm retired can't afford $234 for 1 set of sheets costing me ½ of what they have STOLEN from me with there scam.
Do Not buy Cuddle Down if you don't want them to SCAM you

Their customer service is a call center in Asia and you cannot understand the CSR, they are unresponsive to the fact that only when you receive the order do they tell you half of what you ordered was not available. I ordered three items received one! Awful company.

After yrs finally a favorite print showed up on sale. Super price, enough choice, beautiful product. That said, got dinged 13.99 for shipping PLUS A $2 SURCHARGE FOR FED EX SHIPPING. FED EX lost our package for 2-3 days so we had to post someone at home to recieve. Let me say FED EX sucks too re customer service, you just go around in circles, they never say "no, cannot be done". They just say nothing. Sorry oldsters here don't know how to post photos but my duvet cover is beautiful! K ellis

The website was changed so a customer no longer has the ability to access records of their own past purchases. Why would that be? If I bought something a year or two ago and want to get it again, or buy another size, how am I supposed to remember the details? It would be so easy if I could just go back and see what I ordered. But—no! When I called to ask, they said it was a security issue. What?! The person could not give me a better explanation. This is apparently an aggressively adhered to policy. Wow

A few years ago Cuddledown was purchased by PGI, an unscrupulous conglomerate that owns approximately 14 catalog companies. Having worked for Cuddledown before and after the acquisition I can attest that their quality has diminished precipitously. They care as little for their customers as they do for their employees. Their cardinal priority is to peddle the shady VIP program. All other matters such as product and customer quality are of secondary or even tertiary importance. Whereas the pre-PGI Cuddledown prided itself on its exemplary customer service and sterling products, the current company is as bereft of pride as it is of integrity. It is with profound regret that I strongly advise you to seek your bedding elsewhere.

I ordered and received 2 sets of pillow cases. Both say Pima cotton but they sure look like polyester to me. They are very thin and slippery. I have a background in tailoring and know fabric. This is NOT cotton. The laundering instructions say cold/cool water which also supports polyester. The stitch count is low in the seams and overall cheap construction for a $25 pillow case. I will not be buying again and will request they take my name off their catalog list. It does feel like a scam.
