Claim Your BusinessExperience rating: 4/5 stars (good products, helpful service but some quality problems). The DARCOS is one of the biggest shoe manufacturers in the Argentine Tango shoe business. Its products are well regarded and known on the dance floor. I made an order of two shoes in September 2013 and the it took a long time from order to receive products from Argentina to Europe (7 weeks). Unfortunately the arrived shoes were not correct size, so I had to contact back. This proved to be not so straightforward. Sending emails to the official address vanished into a thin air but using the Web email form in their site got attention. Apparently great number of emails get lost in their spam filters. The english speaking staff was very helpful in arranging the exchange and all proceeded well. You just needed to wait another 8 weeks for the shoes to finally arrive. They were *stunning*. Good piece of handwork, detailed. The leather was a little stiff compared to Italian made Tango shoes but nothing much of complain about. Unfortunately the shoe box was wrapped in very thin brown paper. The nice box was in dog ears all over and scuffed. Not nice to put in closet. Around Christmas Darcos seems to announce deals and offerings where you can buy 2-in-1. Overall I'm satisfied customer. But they should improve the quality control and send correct shoes in the first time. Many people may not have the same patience to deal with errors. To their credit, the wrong shoes needed not to be returned for another hassle to keep track of. SUMMARY: products are as advertised. The company is reliable, just slow to respond to the grown demand. They need to improve they quality process though: send faster, send correct items (double check the order) and improve packaging (boxes should be wrapped in very thick paper) for better delivery protection.
We like their shoes and bought some at the shop. They send out a lot of 2 for 1 email and we ordered two pair for $167. Nearly three months ago. Emails responses have been "two weeks" sorry we were closed for the holidays" and "in the next days." I would stay away. We finally received the shoes and while my wife loved hers mine were not the size I had ordered. Rather than continue to beat my head against the wall I gave them to a friend that could wear them and so received his good karma.
