The best advice I can give is girls do your homework. Read their site. And order in advance so you don't have the stress of a rush order. I gave this company a full year to make my dress. And it was done in about 6 months. Came out perfect. Minor alterations needed because I had lost weight. But that is it. No worries. I am glad I trusted Darius Cordell with my dress. Saved a ton and the workmanship is excellent.
My BBB complaint has email and photo proof. This vendor is not concerned with customer satisfaction. This vendor ignored my multiple calls and emails the week prior to the wear date then I received a dress (not the custom order) almost 1 month after the wear date. Where's the lie? Did the dress arrive on time? Did it remotely resemble what I ordered? Did the vendor respond to my multiple calls and emails the week I was to wear the dress? No to all these. Did I pay on time? Did I pay additional for custom? Did I pay additional for a rush? Yes to all these And by the way this vendor has quickly responded to my BBB complaint and every review calling me a liar, beware of me as a buyer and citing policy that they only give merchandise credit if customer not satisfied. But the problem is they never emailed me personally to apologize for the late delivery, ask what I'm dissatisfied with, offer to fix the dress or offer this "merchandise credit" they cite in their policy.

Couldn't find the perfect dress in stores, so opted for a custom one. Discovered Darius Cordell just before Thanksgiving, needing it for New Year's Eve. Despite the rush order, they delivered on time. Paid extra, but the outcome was worth every penny. Huge thanks to the Darius Cordell team!
They made the process pretty simple and straight forward. Once I paid my deposit I didn't have to do or say much else. About 3 months later they asked for the balance. And in a few weeks my Darius Cordell dress arrived and fit perfectly. Easy Peasy.

Darius Cordell and his team saved my day. I had ordered a dress off line. Come to find out it was a company from China. The dress was horrible. It didn't look anything like the picture. And I was about two months from my wedding. I found Darius Cordell and they said they could make the dress on a rush. I paid the extra fee and the dress got here in about 4 weeks. I was amazed. So happy.
I was worried about them not taking my measurements. But they told me it was the same thing as when a bridal shop hires a tailor to come in to take their customers measurements so I trusted them. Oddly enough when I tried on my dress it fit perfectly the first time. No alterations needed. Thanks Darius Cordell! I am very pleased.

This vendor did not communicate in the month after wear date until after a complaint was made to the BBB. That response was only to remove complaint not to offer apologies for late arrival or ask details as to my dissatisfaction

I look absolutely fabulous in the wedding gown Darius Cordell made for me. It is exactly what I asked for and more. The fabric is soft and breathable. The fit is on point. I could not be happier!
I started shopping for my wedding gown back during the Pandemic. I made sure to give Darius Cordell a full 12 months to create my dress. It came in about 8 months later. It turned out great. Thanks Darius!
I paid Darius Cordell a deposit through CashAp since they said that is the payment type they prefer. Thought it was a bit shady. But I trusted their process. Then once the dress was done I paid the balance. I was worried the dress wouldn't fit or would look horrible in person. They told it was going to look like the picture. And it pretty much did look the same with a few changes. The fit was pretty good too. No major issues! Glad I trusted the Darius Cordell team. Thanks Guys.
***update, response to business: paid the rush fee, your process states that the product arrives on time to try on and take to local tailor if additional alterations are needed. You fail to mention you want to charge me over $1000 (after I paid the "final invoice sent to me and after complaining online) in retaliation charging for your "time" for the emails of your vicious rant, being rude to me after asking a question about the invoice and a status update. I will see you in court.***
Beware! I ordered a quinceañera dress for my daughter as she had a specific dress she wanted replicated. The ordering process went well; however, I received an email over a month ago and everything went down hill. The email I received was requesting the payment of the balance in order to finalize the quality check process and ship it to me. I had a couple of questions about the invoice, so I emailed back before processing the payment and * at the company replied in a very rude manner. I paid the invoice just wanting to get the dress but had a back and forth with this rude representative that would just not quit going on and on in his rant. A month passed and I still had no dress or shipping info, so I reached out a couple of times until * replied to look at a previous email that basically just says that the dress will be shipped shortly after the payment for the balance is made. I reached out again telling him that I need an actual status update because it was already over a month since my payment and never heard back. I tried reaching out via contact form on the website, text, email, and phone and nothing. Being desperate with less than a month to the event, I went to the physical location listed on their website and they are no longer there! The person at the front desk gave me another address for them and they are not there either, then I found another address online and not there. I emailed the place once more to tell them I will take legal action if I don't get answers today, but nothing. I tried calling and somebody kept picking up and hanging up the phone and then blocked me and when I called from my mom's phone they blocked me again. They are the worst company I have ever dealt wit. I still don't have the dress, no answers, no shipping info, and at this point I will take legal action to get my money back since I can't continue waiting. Avoid this company at all costs! I will post if I have updates after today.

Your review is not accurate nor does it include pertinent information. For example, you failed to mention you placed a last minute Rush Order (which cost extra for that service) on MAY 10 for a product that was to be used for the first time on OCTOBER 9 with the understanding that normal production time is approximately 6-9 months. The truth is you simply became extremely impatient with the rush order you placed and then hastily began your rant prematurely on September 13. You also failed to mention that prior to that date you still had a balance on your account for merchandise & services. Per the document you signed, once the final balance on your account is actually paid in full we will gladly ship the rush order product. Note today is September 27……..
The dress I wanted was thing blingy gown that I think was around $12k. That was not going to happen. So I started researching replicas and found Darius Cordell Fashion. They told me they could make the dress for about $4000. I asked for pics. They sent me to their website. I saw some of their work so I decided to proceed. The dress I received was pretty close to the original. The final cost was around $4500.
There are a lot of great styles in the Darius Cordell Collection for mother of the bride. Not the same stuff you can see at Dillard's. So I ordered a beautiful two-piece dress for a great price.
Wanting a custom dress so bad but didn't want to do it online. But the store was going to charge me double of what this designer was charging. So I ordered from Darius Cordell. I decided to do the Flat Fee pricing. I didn't want any surprises at the end. Everything worked out fine. I got my dress for the price I was told.
Darius Cordell is the real deal. Wasn't sure about buying a formal dress online. But I figured I buy everything else on line why not. I needed a rush order and my dress came in two months after I purchased. It was worth the extra fee.
I called Darius Cordell back in January. Everything sounded good so I started my order. Sent in the order form and measurements and the deposit. Didn't hear back from them for a while. So I called to check how things were going. It had only been a month but I still checked. They told me to be patient and wait until the 6 months was up. So I did and in about 4 months they emailed and said the dress was about to be done. I paid my balance and then didn't hear anything else. About a month later my dress arrived. It was perfect. I was nervous but I am glad I went with Darius Cordell. I got the dress I wanted for about ¼ of what the original was going to cost. Win- Win.
My wedding was scheduled for April 2023. When I emailed Darius Cordell back in January they told me they could get the dress done on a rush. I didn't really have a choice unless I got something from off the rack. But I wanted a custom dress. So I went with it!. We emailed back and forth a few times. They referred me to their FAQ page. I read it. It made sense. So I went ahead and paid the deposit. Then I didn't hear from them at all. NO contact whatsoever. So I got worried. Then in March they emailed me again and said it was about ready. So I paid the balance. Then I heard nothing again. So I was a bit concerned. A few weeks later the dress arrived. I was shocked that it looked so much like the picture I gave them. The quality was pretty good too. I had to get a few alterations here at home but that was to be expected. Overall it was a good experience. Thank You darius Cordell and team for making my dream dress on a rush.
Once I read their questions page everything seemed really easy. I sent in my pictures, gave them my measurements and deposit and then just had to wait. It took a bit longer than I had hoped but it was worth the wait. Darius Cordell made the most prettiest dress for me. I was very pleased.

I contacted Darius Cordell before the GLOBAL Pandemic began here in March. They convinced me they could get a gown done for me in time. They were in Texas too so that gave me comfort. Still I was afraid but I didn't have any other options. Everyone else was shutting down due to COVID-19. But to my surprise they were able to put a rush on my dress (even while quarantined) and it turned out beautiful. The fit on my custom dress was amazing. The beadwork and detail was great too. I am so glad I took the risk of trusting this awesome designer, especially during. Even with Coronavirus still spreading we were finally able to get married in August. THANK YOU Darius Cordell for making my dream dress come true during such strange times.
3. I was not able to find the type of wedding dress I wanted in my local bridal shops. Absolutely NOTHING looked good on my figure. I am also very picky - haha. So I figured out I liked different parts of several designs. After a bit of research I found this company. And Darius Cordell and his tea was able to bring all of those special elements together for me into a personalized sketch for me. The price they quoted was not too bad. $1600 is high but not horrible. I was able to get a consultation over the phone which put me more at ease. When I called back a few times the staff was very pleasant. And any time I emailed Ashley always emailed me back very quick the same day. My wedding isn't until the beginning of 2022 so its not a rush. I am starting early because I don't know how things are going to go in the Spring with Covid. Hoping I don't have to reschedule my venue. Atleast I will have my dress! I so look forward to working with Darius Cordell and his team to create the perfect wedding dress for my special day.

The consumer initiated contact about a custom garment on December 11.
The consumer did not place their last minute Rush Order for the garment until December 20.
All of our disclosures were given to the consumer prior to them submitting their order. With those disclosures in mind the consumer still placed a Rush Order (during the holiday season) for a very beaded garment to arrive in less than normal time.
The consumer first indicated to our firm they did not like the product they ordered on February 22.
In less than 24 hours...(instead of trying to work with our firm on a resolution) the consumer instead choose to file a premature claim with the BBB on February 23.
It is unfortunate the consumer does not like the custom product they ordered - last minute on a rush allowing barely 30 days for production.
Nevertheless, it was in fact very well disclosed (upfront) on our COMMON QUESTIONS page of our website at https://www.dariuscordell.com/questions/ (when you click on the Timing tab) that the quickest Rush Order could take "approximately" 1 month - for the average garment (i.e one that is not extremely beaded nor overly intricate). It is also well disclosed there (when you click on the Returns tab) that there is "No refund on custom items" - "Merchandise Credit Only". A very basic, simple & common concept in this industry as it relates to "custom" garments.
It was also well disclosed on the ORDER FORM AGREEMENT (that the consumer agreed to & signed) that "Made to order items can be returned for correction or replacement". Note it also well disclosed on that same document that "Because the specialty products are custom made to order and are specific to the client all monies received (including deposits & partial payments) are non-refundable – merchandise credit only". Again, a very simple concept and quite common as it relates to "custom" garments.
It is extremely shameful (but also quite telling) that the consumer chose to start a rant and could not simply abide by the terms & conditions they agreed to upfront.
