“NO LEADS; NO HELP GETTING CONTOL BACK OVER MY WEBSITE!”

Carlos L.
8/24/20

They were very nice at first. When Sinclair Broadcast Group signed me up, I had never heard of Datasphere, so there was no way to check customer reviews. I wish Sinclair had been clear about using Datasphere. Datasphere was ABSOLUTELY NO HELP when I did't renew my expensive contract BECAUSE IT HAD GENERATED NO LEADS IN A YEAR! When I asked for technical help to regain control of my website, nobody at Datasphere seemed to know anything! This is costing me extra because now I have to change the url on my website! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! I WISH I HAD REVIEWED THIS BEFORE SIGNING UP! PAID A MONTHLY SERVICE AND RECIEVED 0 LEADS... WHEN I CALLED TO CANCEL THEY ASSURED ME I WOULD NOT BE CHARGED ANYMORE. A FEW DAYS LATER I WAS CHARGED AGAIN AND NOW OF COURSE NO ONE ANSWERS MY CALLS OR EMAILS TO RESOLVE THIS.
DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SMOOTH TALKING SALESMAN LIKE I DID... AGAIN, DO NOT USE!

No results, said were experts. Obviously not. They never mentioned a contract and said the first month could opt out no charge. Literally they did the complete opposite and is our last month paying. Karma will be served.

Do not do business with this company. Totally not trust worthy. When the sales person called, they represented them as from Channel 12 News. But it did not show that in the invoice. They collected the payment right away, even though the first consultation was 6 day's later. They posted a ad from their stock template right away. And called it live. It took me few days to evaluate their services. Could not find my ad. The sales person told me because the ad space was shared with 20+ more advertiser. Guarantee 45 view to my web site in a month. This has been two weeks now. Only 7 views. This company collected money without wasting any time. Cannot cancelled even in two weeks time.
Not trust worthy. They are scammers.

Fraud and scams. Complete lies to get you to signup and then require your social media passwords to set you up. Beware of this company who only plan is to acquire your client base.

Please do your research before signing up with this marketing company!
We spent thousands of dollars and were not getting any real conversions. The impressions that we received on Facebook were from people who are uninterested in the services or products we provide. Why would someone love a post about financial planning that has never done business with us! These are fake impressions. Please learn from me and do not use Datasphere. We canceled our contract and we're stuck with the 40% cancelation fee. We have received no benefit from this marketing company from 9/18/2018 until now. We never saw our ad on 9 News> when we call Datasphere to help us find our ad the manager Stephanie said to me she "does not have time to find my ad on 9 News" she can't find it and won't be able to find my ad within the next 2 weeks. Why would it take 2 weeks to find my ad and take a screenshot to prove the ad was even placed on 9 news website. In addition, Datasphere said we received a telephone call from a prospect on 12/29/2018, we have no missed calls from this date as it was a Saturday. When we asked Stephanie about this impression being incorrect, she said that google analytics is the one that tracks the impressions and she doesn't know how or why the call was tracked when we show NO record of this call. Again, please spend our funds elsewhere as you will most likely not benefit from this type of marketing.

We signed a contract that our ad would be listed on 13 different sites. Without telling us, the next month, DataSphere switched it to only 4 sites. We didnt notice till month later. On top of that, our ad would rarely show up at the bottom of one site, and was no where to be found on other sites. The stats of how many views and interactions seemed to be false. It said 11,000 interactions with our ad happened in one day, yet we did not receive any business during the entire contract from their advertisement. DataSphere is a complete waste of money, and their business model is out of integrity.

This company will NOT deliver any real results! They promise you results ("actions") but when you call them out on not providing even 1 viable lead in 11 months, they claim the "clicks" on your ad are the results they promised. The only actual "seller lead" I received actually stated in their comments that they were not looking to sell. Their product is too expensive to not get any viable leads!

They also don't tell you that you may find your direct competitor on the page where the Data Sphere ads are forwarded to. In my case, a competing realtor who's office is directly across the street from mine, had a similar ad to mine on the Local Saver page where my Data Sphere ads were being directed. I was not made aware that Local Saver would also be selling ad space to competing realtors as I was told by the Data Sphere Representative that I was paying for exclusive advertising. When going through their sales demo of how their "exclusive" ads worked there wasn't a competing realtor on the Local Saver site for the zip code I was going to be exclusive in. If there was, I would have known to question what they were telling me.

If you are going to do business with Data Sphere, make sure you thoroughly check out where your ads will be forwarded to, who else may be on that site as well, and make them specify what they are going to be counting as "results". Otherwise, you may end up throwing away a lot of money!

IF THERE WAS 0 STARS THAT WOULD BE MY OPTION. BIG F***ING NO. THESE GUYS LEGITIMATELY ARE A SCAM. They called and sold me something when I was in the field working, When I called back to understand the what I purchased, I was told that I am screwed into a 1 year contract even though that was not explained to me. FIRSTLY THEY DO NOT RECORD CALLS, so anything that is told to you IS A LIE over the phone. Olya, my sales agent was extremely fast spoken and you could barely understand her. Stephanie is supposedly the "floor manager," but she can't help me in any way shape or form. They both tell me I'm out of luck and there is literally nothing they can do. I RECOMMEND NEVER WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE LIARS AND WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. Learn from my experience. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

I was contacted and told they'd get me a banner ad on KFox News, Local Saver and Facebook and would create a video ad for me. It sounded like a good idea for tax season, but I've been burned in the past. So I had my attorney check out the contract, talked to others, had witnesses on my phone conversations so that all their promises were documented.

First, they NEVER contacted me after they had my name on the preverbial 'dotted line' and my money. I waited and waited and finally contacted them only to be told that my ad was already "LIVE"! WHAT!? I didn't approve anything! When I went out to LOOK at my 'AD'. There was my business name, a horrid canned image of some out-of-focus men standing around a conference table (We are all women in my practice) and a phone number. Not where I was located or - and this is the really IMPORTANT point - NOT ONE WORD ABOUT WHAT SERVICES OR PRODUCTS I PROVIDE!

When I complained, they informed me that I was supposed to 'approve' their test ads - but I never got contacted about them so how could I do that. It took 10 weeks for them to get anything out there that was acceptable, let alone semi-professional.

And lets talk about my video - After the disaster with the banner ad, I was taking no chances. I, personally, downloaded and paid for every image, wrote the script, and then created a power-point of EXACTLY how I wanted it to look and sound. I sent it all to them with a very specific instructions and a demand that, whoever the voice actor was they needed to be a native speaker of Spanish. What I got was exactly what I told them I DIDN'T want.

Can these people even READ?! What kind of marketing firm is this?!

IF - and it's a BIG IF - they are actually displaying my ad as they keep claiming (allegedly it's been 'displayed' 107,510 times with 597 alleged actions) I should have had at least ONE phone call in the past 6 months. But nope! Not even a phone call, let alone a client. I'm paying near $200 a month for them to destroy my professional reputation with their amateurish ads and unparalleled incompetence.

I did get 1/2 off the bill for TWO months, but that doesn't even start to cover the financial losses I'm suffering.

To slightly shorten this saga of more than 6 months of advertising nightmare, my tax season advertising budget resulted in NOTHING. Actually, less than nothing since we didn't even get our usual number of new returns.

I'm still having to deal with them as they are getting monthly payments and I am still getting NOTHING of value in return.

I've been in business 30 years and I know which ads make money and which don't. This one doesn't.

UPDATE 05/05/17 - THANK YOU Site Jabber! YOU got their attention and they agreed to stop advertising my business and cancelled my account without penalty. No refund, but at least the nightmare is over.

It's nice to know that, when all else fails, Site Jabber comes through.

I receive several calls from advertising agencies all the time. I told them that I was NOT interested in advertising, ONLY lead generations. The sales rep told me that they personally guarantee at least 30 leads per month. She also said that with those leads, it would be my responsibility to call on those leads to convert them. In addition to that, she said she recommended I stick with them for 12 months to get the full benefits. In 3 months, I have NOT received a single lead, and when I tried to cancel they said I am required to pay 40% of the remaining months on my contract! The only thing they said in response was "I'm sorry, we will make sure to coach our sales rep. And that they do NOT guarantee leads." They didn't care that I was lied to and that I specified both to the sales rep and the manager that I was only interested in something that would guarantee leads. This company lied to me about their services, and did NOT deliver on their promise. MAKE SURE YOU READ THEIR TERMS AND AGREEMENTS carefully. There is 1 small sentence that I missed that talks about the 40% buy out of the contract. They don't tell you this and they rush you into making a decision... not to mention they send you the terms and agreement after you have already made payments. So, now you are locked in and they will not allow you to cancel unless you pay the 40% of the REMAINING Months. This company is completely unethical and a complete waste of money. Also, when looking at the activity... the impressions and so called actions that by the way does nothing to generating leads, it's only going to the local savers. Only a handful of times did I see it go to any other website outside of the local saver, so how much exposure are you actually getting? How can you generate leads if you're Ads are not getting the proper exposure they promised. There are much more effective lead generation tools/companies out there that deliver and are less costly... and don't lie to you and scam you out of your money. This company is a complete FRAUD!

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY....THEY ARE LIARS AND SCAMMERS!

I wish I wasn't so gullible! They sold me a lie for $2400 of my hard-earned self-employment money! Datasphere is an entirely dishonest company, do not ever deal with them. They completely misrepresented themselves as being from a local news station saying that they had a single advertising spot open for a small business like us. They aren't from the station at all, and they don't sell single spots! They rushed me through a very high-pressure sales pitch and got me signed up for an awful 12 month plan before I even knew the name of the company.

Besides the things they merely implied to be true that weren't, they actually lied about stuff too. Mostly the fact that they stated several times that they were looking to fill one single spot for a pet care company in our area like us and that we had to act fast in order to secure it. Well, not a week after signing their terrible contract when our add started showing up, it was in a rotation with at least 3 other pet care companies in the same town. And the advertisement that I was paying for was buried on a page that not a single customer of mine would be able to see. I myself had a very hard time finding it. If I can't even see my own ad and neither can my close friends, how will potential customers?! They also promised a very fancy sounding "custom website" made by their "creative team" but in reality the draft that they sent us is clearly a copy and pasted boilerplate that still managed to somehow be full of typos. And the "professional video" is just a slideshow of pictures with a script behind it. I never got to work with a creative team at all. Everything is cookie-cutter and plain. None of this is what I thought I was paying for. $200 a month is a lot to lose when I only have one employee (myself) and can barely keep in business.

Even former employees have said "you have to trick people into buying it" and "The whole product is a scam."

This company makes it's money from high pressure and intentionally misleading sales pitches to small business owner's who don't know better yet. They lock you into a year long scam that you can't get out of without paying $880 out of your own pocket. Please avoid this toxic company at all costs.

After calling and speaking with them about my distrust and calling them out on their lies, they did eventually let me out of the contract. They were calm and nice about it, and let me out without forcing me to pay the buyout amount.

DataSphere is a scam! I signed a 12 month contract with them and during the four months that I stayed with them they did not deliver on their part of the contract. When I initially singed up with them I did complain at how I got burned with Yelp and the Sales person told me that they are "better then Yelp" and that they can get me at least 30 new customers every month! When I signed the contract, the contract specified that I will be getting at least 30 Actions per month (which the sales person assured me translates to 30 new customers). However, during the 4 month course I got 4 contacts that were not even relevant to my business - 4 as in someone called but hung-up, and 3 people that liked my Facebook ad! During the 4 months I also had someone view the video they created 6 times! They also said that they will have my advertising on Parents.com, Parenting.com and Familycircle.com but they only put an ad in Parenting.com once during the 4 months I was with them. They advertised my business on Facebook and GoogleAdwords only - which by the way I am able to do so too for a fraction of the price that they were charging me. I went back to Groupon for my business and at the same time I signed-up for Groupon I saw a significant increase in DataSphere's so called "Actions" and "Impressions" for my business. They were basically trying to count basic Google address searches for my business as something that they influenced. In addition, they tried to claim YouTube video views of my business as theirs too which really is from Groupon influence as new customers were Googling my business and they came across their advertising. Also, for each month they show Month-to-Date Actions/Incentives and they try to trick you that these are for that one specific month but are not as they clearly state (once your roll over the chart tracker) that these are cumulative. Every time I reached out to them to see what is going on they told me that I am not seeing much Actions because I keep on updating coupons (updating as in running July 4th special then running a Labor Day special along an ongoing Armed Forces special that I have throughout the whole year) and that I should leave the coupons alone! - so Advertising 101 how can this be true!? I do not have any proof on this but I can speculate that they went aggressively after new customers and over promised on what they can deliver so that they can be sold to Sinclair Broadcasting by fluffing-up their sales. These guys are a scam stay away! I threw away money by staying with them for a few months and I was able to get out of my contract without losing any additional money-- aside from what I already paid for the months I foolishly stayed with them -- they had me locked in for 12 months and I could cancel at any time if I paid 40% if the remaining contract value at the time of cancellation. They refused to refund me even though they did not meet their part of the contract.

The sales force behind this company will have you believe this is a lead generating service, it is far from this. The unethical sales practices and non support from management is very concerning... Simply put, they are only after your money and will not deliver upon initial promise. DO NOT trust this company.

I have no idea how this company is still in business. I wish I would have read all the reviews first. I signed up for this company. I only wanted a 6 month trial. However, I was told I would be the only service on the front page. I was then contacted 3 weeks later by a different rep who promised the same thing. That was my first sign then was a horrible scam. I tried to call to cancel they told me I would still owe them over $1,000. I can't believe that is true when I have got nothing from this ad company. They setup a banner for me and since I wasn't able to answer back in 3 days if I liked it or not they forced me into a 12 month contract. All I want is out of my contract and away from this business. BEWARE: the woman on customer service starting yelling at me saying I was under contract and there was nothing I could do but pay for it!
