This has been a very negative experience for me on Flippa. Especially with their team that checks accounts for policy violations. Otherwise, everything is ok, system, commissions, I had no problems until the moment when they banned my account for a trivial reason. I invested a lot in those businesses we have, almost 10 businesses for sale, Businesses in which I invested over 10,000 dollars, in developers, ads, Facebook ads, Google ads, to promote my flippa businesses. When I woke up one morning and everything was closed, all the work, the money and everything was lost for a reason, I don't even know how: for the email address. Yes, they only support some information that they cannot prove, who doesn't even verify the information I provide. I had an account where I sold websites and received positive reviews. However, I encountered an issue when I provided a client with an email address for sending me a domain on Namecheap. It turned out that the address was associated with another user who had been banned from their system. I explained to them that I had purchased 10 sites from that user, and they had provided me with everything, including the Namecheap account, email address with analytics accounts, and other necessary information to avoid transferring all the data. Despite my explanations and referencing Flippa support showed no interest. He insisted on keeping my account banned, even though I adhered to all their rules. I conducted transactions exclusively on Flippa, paid all invoices, directed clients to use Flippa for transactions, maintained positive reviews, and provided support. However, flippa support refused to consider reactivating my account, expressing disbelief in the situation. I find it disheartening to be denied the right to reply, with no effort made to verify the information before banning an account. This has been a very negative experience for me on Flippa. Otherwise, I have nothing to say, safe transactions, you find clients to sell the business, transaction commissions are ok, you can actually make money. But I don't understand this rule of banning accounts for small things, for accounts that say they are linked. But I didn't even have multiple accounts, I had the misfortune of buying some sites from one whose account was banned. And you will understand how I got banned, as I stated above, I sent the email address from the namcheap account to a client to send me a domain back, on the namcheap account that I bought together with the sites.: PS: I asked the user who gave me the namcheap account, the email address (for which my account was also banned), together with the sites why it was banned? He replied that he was banned because he said on his twitter account that flippa has very high commissions. And made other recommendations. These are the reasons. Few reasons to ban an account, plus mine which was not at fault. He just gave me the namecheap account, which had the email address attached, with which this user created the flippa account. As I stated above, he gave me everything to avoid the transfer of ten sites and other information. Finally, that's it, I'm tired, how many messages have I sent to the support, to make them understand that it's a mistake. This is.
1. A few years ago, I fell for a $1,500 scam despite everything looking great and legit in the due diligence. Then exactly 4 days after the money transfer and the asset handover, I figured out that this was scam and I contacted support. They said they released the money already although their policy says the money release takes 7 days. Zero customer care. 2. Four months after that, I noticed a similar listing on their website so I contacted them to warn them and try save others. But their response was meaningless and they just let the next victim fall for it. Zero customer care.

I purchased a website it was a scam lost 18k. They agreed I was scammed anyone wanna see the email? Don't buy from them.
Tip for consumers:
Flippa pretended to confirm the sellers info. They do not at all. Nothing anyone places on flippa.com is accurate until you verify by that point you have purchased.

Purchased a website from a scammer for 6,500. Scammer asked for 8,300 for marketing that should have been included. I paid it. No sales. No refunds. Flippa confirmed I was scammed. They said pay for there due diligence $1,500 or purchase buyer insurance. I think they employ scammer FTC should investigate there practice. I’ll send them my case.
I sent a message to the customer service 4 month ago and no one replied to me. I don't know what to do. Flippa, please reply to me.

Even after closing a sale, it took over a month for the funds to be placed and cleared in an escrow account. When the funds finally cleared, I turned over my assets to the buyer in under 24 hours. The buyer then clicked the "clear funds" button in the "Complete My Deal" tab. Despite doing so, Flippa refused to transfer the funds into my account because of an email floating in the ether. This email was supposed to confirm the release, despite the buyer already doing so. Flippa did not care, and was very unresponsive and uncaring about the entire deal. As of writing this, I still do not have my $10,000 and do not have my Shopify or domain name anymore. Hopefully, I will get my money or business back.
Such unprofessional support. They allowed a seller to cancel a $10,000 transaction through their platform and I lost over $2,000 to get the money back.
To add insult to injury the seller reported my account and I got suspended and now banned for no apparent reason.
This is a warning to all of you wanting to try and purchase through flippa to DON'T go into it.
Use alternative services.
UPDATE:
Flippa is illegally refusing to remove my data from their website and services for over a year now. To add to unsult, somehow my data was leaked from Flippa and i'm getting scam sms to as "A Premium Flippa Buyer."
Stay away from Flippa!
Don't rush in make sure you check all the fine print. Make sure the seller is set up correctly for transactions from the purchase via escrow. If not don't go there. Walk away.

It has come to my attention that there are pending issues with Pakistani sellers on the platform. If necessary actions are not taken promptly, I feel compelled to share my feedback on platforms such as Trustpilot and Sitejabber by this evening.
As a trusted seller with a 100% rating, it is disheartening to witness potential scams from sellers in the community. I kindly request that you thoroughly investigate the matter and take appropriate action against these individuals.
Your swift response and resolution of this matter will be highly appreciated. In the absence of a timely update, I may feel obligated to bring the issue to the attention of Flippa's investors.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
Best regards,
Rutvik

I had been with Flippa for 3 years with no issue. Heard from some sellers in the past about Flippa banning their account for no reason. Well, that happened to me. I had sold and bought over $60,000 on there with a 100% rating.
One afternoon, I got a message saying that my account is banned. They tried to link an auction that I had sold, to a bogus auction and said that I had duplicate accounts. This kind of ban happens all the time, on there. Not sure if there were other, hidden motives behind it.
Flippa's tactics to sell your business are in the best interest of their broker only. They have an exclusivity clause that locks you in to using only them to sell your business. And charge you gy the month for the privilege! Beware! They will grossly under value your business by talking you into low EBITDA values only with zero accounting for goodwill or discretion spending etc..

Scammers. They will charge a 50USD listing fee and then will not list the business. The reason they told me that i wanna sell my business at too high a price. I fact the price proposed was the price i had sold 100 similar businesses.
This website is full of scam sellers. I bought 3 sites and 2 were complete scams. You've been warned. Shopify closed their exchange because of so many scams. They're all on here now.
Excellent support as always. I have been using Flippa full time now for three years and I can't emphasise how great that support has been on the platform. I always get a responce from Flippa within 24 hours which helps me to sell my stores and is one of the reasons why I prefer Flippa over a number of other website selling platforms I have tried. Thanks team! - Eddie
Such a bad customer service. None of my questions was answered. Horrible experience. They were passing my questions to a different employees for whole 2 weeks (i just wanted to have phone call with them so they can tell me tips on hot to sell my store in a right and safe way-$200.000 worth with their potential broker) but nothing happens. Don't recommend
Tl: dr - Foreign company that pushes to obtain the information you will have to work hours or days to produce. While you have provided all the info that your business/website has existed for years. All while listing Chinese drop shippers that want a cool million for their website.
So like anyone I found the site on Google liked the easy-to-fill-out listing process and thought this should be an easy sale. For one this company is run by Indians, India has a HUGE issue with e-commerce and telemarketing scams. So there is on red flag. I was then asked several significant questions about the business requesting I provide extensive information, invoices P&L statements proof of revenue etc. Given I'm not comfortable disclosing the internals of a business to anyone, for the simple fact they can simple "reverse engineer" how to duplicate the business have all your vendors and the structure of the business that is also a red flag. I'd be happy to disclose that to a buyer, not the random person I have no NDA with. Speaking of NDA's Flippa prices start at $29 but selles packages in the hundreds or services at $99 and up. Easily you could spend $200 to $600 just to list the site for one month. Eventually, this devolved into an S-show of three to five staff asking me questions calling and aggravating me to provide information that had little bearing on selling the site. Once you review the listing you will see glaring holes in the listing where they have allowed trash to be posted. It was an aggravating and insulting process.

First, I have an issue, they have responded positively and fixed it.
They need to change some policy and they will do great
First, Flippa takes its commission as soon as the sale is marked as completed. But if a buyer doesn't go through to the end via Escrow, or requests a chargeback on Paypal, the Flippa still holds on to their fee.
Second, sellers can hide abusive or hurtful (wrong, malicious, etc.) comments, but Flippa admins un-hide them before the sale is made. Therefore, potential buyers can get a wrong impression of the listing, even if the comments are false.
Last but not least, there are many, many, many scammers on Flippa, trying to sell sites with falsified data.
Overall, I'm never gonna use Flippa again. Ever.
I do not recommend at all. Buyers have no protection and are easily scammed. The platform owners don't care about buyers and never respond to queries. I would steer clear as a buyer!
My friend tried to register to your platform but the minute he submitted his id he got banned. Do you have something againts Czech people? And now you are threatening me with a ban too?
After a long and tumultuous journey with this platform, today I finally packed my bags, asked them to remove any of my personally identifiable information and I closed my account, never to return!
In case your account is suspended by Flippa (fraud) team, please don't pay the invoice they ask you to pay. Once you complete invoices and make payments, the Flippa (Fraud) will ban your account stating different terms which are not disclosed and may they show a connections with other accounts as well.
The place is full of criminals and liers I think Flippa cover them because wants to take money the only way we have is to advice others about this behaviour.Stay away liers ready to do something to you.
