Last night I made a page for my Cannabis company here in Canada. We are a legit business and do everything by the book. I posted twice, just explaining what our shop is and has for products, and they blocked me...

Now, I would think this was fine BUT, I have a Twitter, Facebook & Instagram for my business and I have never been blocked (almost like they realize it's legal) anyway, GAB advertises is self as free speech, and allows people to post what they want. I beg to differ. You guys suck! I'll never be back, and I hope you go under. Pathetic.

Gab is F#ckin garbage. I signed up for pro account and attempted to start a business (selling war trophies) on their failed marketplace. Do not sign up for gab its turned into a garbage pile. I couldn't even delete my account I had to email customer support. Terrible. Andrews platform has fallen by the wayside. He has created another hater of his platform. I am now a canvassing advocate against GAB. Great work Andrew Torba.

Gab has helped my young business find clients, share my personal convictions openly, and connect with like-minded business owners.

There's a lot of misleading articles online about the platform, and I found them to be inaccurate after checking things out for myself. Free speech is truly celebrated and all are welcome to participate.

I offer content writing services for small business owners, and I've formed a healthcare (my niche) related group where honest discussions around the industry are taking place.

It's easy to mute or block those who use foul or suggestive language you morally don't agree with. Without moderation by the Gab team, the community does a good enough job of rooting out bad characters.

I came in skeptical but am left with the impression this platform is here to stay. They continue to attract new users daily and their "stock" will continue to soar!

Claims they are about free speech but will block you when they disagree with what you say. This site is full of people who just spew hate and horible ideals

If you want a healthy dose of death threats towards anyone with a differing viewpoint and antisemitism behind political candidates pages, gab is the place to go. I left a few nice comments for a candidate running for mayor in my state and guarantee i'll probably be kicked off despite the "freedom of speech" they mention. It's a pathetic website and is really an eye opener towards the real extremist, racist, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic, bible bumping morons who somehow think their hateful views will land them in heaven. Again, if you want to see the dark side of the American conservatives, the true thoughts in their heads, log into gab and go to any republicans page. Apparently they want the antisemitists as their support base.

I've been using gab for several months. At first it was slow due to the number of people who were migrating from other platforms. It is now running great as they have beefed up their infrastructure. Free speech for all. They WILL NOT block you unless you are doing something illegal or dangerous. If you don't like something someone posts then you have to block them.

Also the claim of no nsfw content is a blatent lie

As "ThatOldLibOnGab" I was a Gab member from just after the November 2020 election until January 6,2021. I made numerous quality posts during that time and many times even received "likes" from conservatives. On my last day I was very critical of the Capital attack in D. C. and suddenly without notice or explanation my account was deactivated ("You don't have permission to view this page" everywhere) and all my Gabs were deleted. The owners of Gab have the right to implement any moderation policy they choose but their claims of "freedom of speech" are blatantly false.

Minority religious nuts trying to fundamentally change America by merging church and state. Boosted by Russian trolls. Regularly suggests violence is necessary to carry out "God's plan".

Gab is filled with some of the most crude and primitive comments, many of which threaten death to Jews

From a speed standpoint it is getting better but still has a long ways to go to get rid of both in house and outside hackers. It is the closest to free speech on the net that I have found and I have looked intensively. So that is a big plus. Unfortunately it comes at a big price by allowing nutcase nazis, bigots, just plain crazies to post whatever the hell they want to. They are not very open about their goals and plans to resist Gov. Takeover or deplatformng. They want investors but don't answer questions about what their future strategies are to avoid Gov. Control and the NWO. The guy running it seems like a reasonable Christian but sympathizes with jew haters at his own peril. They need better software, better tamper proof backbone to the internet, faster servers, but they insist on just doing stuff they think will generate more money (understandable). It's a good site if you can get past all the nazis, bigots and other wackos. They won't delete you account in my experience but they will allow shadowbanning it seems.

You will literally get banned from this website faster than twitter. The creator cares about "freedom of speech" when it's speech he agrees with. I got deleted for having an opinion. I didn't spam, I didn't promote violence, I didn't share any inappropriate pictures. I just had an opinion that establishment conservatives don't like. So my account was deactivated.

I'm a conservative and respect Christians. However, I am not a Christian and I clearly wasn't welcome on this site. I can't believe that Gab is good for Christianity. Gab makes Christians look hateful, angry, and dangerous. I know many Christians and they are positive, moral people. I tried to unsubscribe and it is close to impossible. They want you to send a letter via snail mail as opposed to clicking on the unsubscribe like every other site. Your membership is permanent and will follow you to the grave.

These clowns at Gab just kicked me out for promoting medicinal cannabis.

OK, we'll start with the good. Pretty good about free speech. Me and my group of close pals can be pretty rough and none of us has ever been reprimanded. In my wider circle some have be banned, but again what we say on a daily basis would never fly on Facebook or Twitter.
If you're touchy about certain subjects or do not like your beliefs questioned, or love being in the echo chamber, you have the option to mute or block people, so they can never comment on your stuff and you will never see anything they write (a feature I think they put in to attract Alex Jones and ppl like that to the platform, since they do not like to be challenged.
Unfortunately, the platform itself has lots of trouble. Most days it takes several tries to connect, sometimes losing connection several times a day. Sometimes it'll be offline for whole days.
The way the conversations unfold are very confusing. Twitter is far superior on that score.
Also, in terms of the privacy issue: There was a shooting that involved a guy who was a Gab user (who also used Twitter and others), and Gab was happy to hand over everything to investigators without warrants or anything, many people who were in no way involved with the crime ended up being visited by the FBI.
So user beware.

Gab owners tout how they created a "free speech" platform free from big tech, yet it's only a for-profit, paywalled, fork/clone of Mastodon for right-wingers and fascists. They are duping people for profit, just like Trump. Ask yourself, why would you pay for something when it is already free? Anyone can install Mastodon just like Gab did, with little to no programming experience. This is why they currently can't scale, yet blame it on "sophisticated attacks" from "Big Tech". Fact is, Gab has not built anything. If people want freedom, the solution is not to rely on another centralized system that is easily scraped and CAN be shutdown.

While Gab claims they are free from "Big Tech," they currently use Cloudflare, a Silicon Valley DNS proxy and DDoS mitigation service. They have banned numerous similar sites to Gab and will most likely shutdown Gab in the near future. Those sophisticated attacks? Easily blocked or rate limited. Their real issue is most likely that they have no real data center with redundant fiber drops and Tier 1 bandwidth and simply begging for Bitcoin.

Their web browser? Just another clone/fork of another project others developed, better known as Brave. They are literally just rebranding popular open source technology developed by others and grifting the unintelligent.

I joined Gab a year ago as an alternative to Facebook. I soon realised that Gab is not about free speech. It is about a certain type of right-wing, Bible belt, pro-Trumpism spech. People who dare to express an opinion outside this strict worldview are systematically bullied and insulted. Gab's CEO Andrew Torba is religious lunatic whose weekly rants would make Hitler turn in his grave. Gab is not about free speech. It is about his speech.

I write this review as a Constitutional Conservative. This place is one large toxic echo chamber. There's nothing but profanity laced Biden memes, Trump won posts, and every single conspiracy you can think of. There is no commentary or social engagement. You can't find a legitimate person to carry on a conversation with. People use animated fake profile photos with ridiculous usernames, yet they preach about standing up and fighting back... but they do so from a fake name and photo? Contradictory you think? There are no content creators here (nature, wildlife videos). That's because they get no attention. It's politics or bust. By the way, groups that have 60,000 members have posts that have maybe 5 to 6 likes. These membership numbers are suspicious. That's almost statistically impossible. There are men using profile photos of pretty women and fake female names. Posting photoshopped photos with quotes just to get attention. One is named (certainhope) who uses a profile photo of celebrity Lucy Hale but pretends its her/his photo. Yet, nobody in 2 years seems to notice or care

Paid into it & lost big time. Literally spent 1 week trying to post, gain followers, & follow back. Gab claims they have 30 million followers & soon to increase to 100 million. If they can't handle technical issues with 30 million followers, how the hell are they going to keep the site functioning with 100 million? Don't WASTE your money, TIME, & sense of PEACE!

My review of Gab is a huge refreshment from the stupid fact checkers on facebook and the banning on twitter that police your every move. Gab is easy to use just as easy as Fakebook and the people on there are open minded. It is not a trump haven either. Anything goes and everyone has the right to speak their opinion. I gave it 5 Stars if there were more I would rate it much Higher...

I tried it for three months to get away from Twitter. After trying Gab, I had to delete my account. It is as bad as they say it is. Multiple Holocaust-denying groups that have been spewing lies and hate for several years that they have been open. The creators don't care as it is 'free speech'. Free speech is not saying whatever you want, however you want, whenever you want, wherever you want. That is anarchy.

Looked pretty good at first but then you start noticing a pattern of hate and anti semitism, this might as well be an extension of storm front. Also the app is so slow since it's not a native iOS or android phone app, deleted my account immediately.

I've been very involved in social media of all sorts from the start, and nothing has impressed me more than what gab is building. I'm looking forward to it continuing its constant incremental growth. I deeply appreciate its stand for free speech and big tech autonomy.
