Hi, I have used this website to buy 3 games coming upto $22.99. Every time i add an item to the basket, the 14 day free trial is automatically added as well. So look out for extras in your basket. Look to left and un-tick free trial, it will be right at the bottom. Also the games work and i have the key to them if i want download them again.
I bought a $3.00 game and without my permission they started taking $15.00 out of bank account every month. Luckily I frequently look for unauthorized things like this and I canceled the bogus charge.
I purchased the full version of Oregon Trail 5, the purchase key originally worked, but quit working after only a few hours. Then I found out that Gamefools attempted to start billing my account for $14.99/month, which was nowhere authorized in the original purchase (it only showed up on the receipt forwarded to my email). Cancelled the "membership" in time not to get the recurring bill, but still don't have the game and these people are deceptive. Avoid.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid. These guys engage in deceptive business practices.

These people have been billing my PayPal account $14.99 USD every month illegally, after I made the stupid mistake of purchasing a single game from them one time. So far they have stolen $250 of my hard-earned money and for what? The game I bought originally was crap; I never even finished it, and I have never dealt with them since. I certainly never authorized them to steal my money every month. They are criminals! Avoid at all costs! You will be sorry!
I did get a refund, but it only came after posting the review. When I asked for a refund through PayPal, it was ignored, according to Jay, the refund request must be submitted through their website. Overall, I guess 3/5 stars rating is appropriate.
Purchased a link for minecraft, the link didn't work plus it generated an automatic monthly charge with PayPal! Good thing we saw it or it would have been expensive. Paypal refused to cancel the purchase.
I would like to say this is an excellent site ****** with great customer service. Been a customer for many years, Any recurring billing has a setting you can turn off. They have some great sales... so all positive for me. Shout out to Jay who is a fantastic customer service agent.
Tip for consumers:
Great site !! just make sure you check all your options as far as recurring payments or billing go.

Okay so i bought a game on here for $2.99. I made sure i payed for a one time purchase only, but then they started charging me $14.99 every month like a subscription. They did this without letting me know. Game fools is not worth it, even if you see a childhood game. Please read the reviews before you purchase anything from here. If you bought a game on here, i suggest you look at your account as soon as possible. Please be safe!

I paid $1.99 for a game i was nostalgic about and then they charged my paypal I barely use $14.99 for almost a year with no indications prior that I was subscribing too and when i figured it out and contacted them they only payed back $30. They are crooks and thieves and they're games suck anyway. It is not worth it.
I bought a Minecraft Windows 10 for $0.59 and I did not think anything of it because I paid with Paypal and know my payments are secured. But I did not realize that they some how setup automatic monthly payments of $14.99 on my Paypal account, until I checked my email from Paypal. I atleast gave it a 2 star rating, because I was smart enough to outwit their sneaky asses and still only pay $0.59 for Minecraft.
I bought age of empires one and later they without telling during the purchase they charge me $15 for a stupid membership.

Like many others, I bought one game and they tried to charge my card $14.99 every month for a service I dont even use. Good thing my debit card was already replaced so they cant take my money, but I do not plan on paying them.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use this site at all for purchasing games. You will be charged without your knowledge.

They are billing my account 14.99 every month for no reason. I tried contacting the company but they won't respond i'm pissed.
"GameFools" lives up to it's name as a scam. I tested their "offer" to see if it would process, but the code i was given was totally bogus, and they tried to auto-subscribe me for $14/month. It appears they mostly work in cheap, web games, but it would be real easy for a youth to fall into this trap by asking their parents for a game XP just a heads up!
They're great! Customer service is so helpful with tech issues or refunds. So happy with my purchases and I'll definitely suggest this to friends!
Got Oregon Trail for my little bro, thankfully i was there for the purchase, so i noticed that the site AUTOMATICALLY signs you up to give them a monthly payment.
The site is clearly aimed towards kids who might not know any better and i think this practice of tricking children into setting up monthly fees is shady and unethical. Thankfully i am always around to monitor purchases as i know sites like this like to take advantage, so i did catch it.
Paid and downloaded diner dash 2 and the game was super glitchy and made it hard to play. I deleted it after 2 minutes of trying to play it.

I've been playing Litle Shop: Road Trip for years. After I got a new, faster computer, I was prompted to download the update. After downloading the game, it will not allow me to access full screen mode. Neither the Options nor my computer will go full screen. The error message "unable to access full screen mode" appears. I was offered a replacement game in the Little Shop series, but the same thing happened. I was told that older games might not function well on newer computers, but the customer support person said they do not sort their games by "newest", so I would have to go through the 60-minute free trials to test out games for full screen mode. Anyone else have this problem?
As others mentioned, beware of the "members only" price that entails a monthly fee greater than the original cost. I called their customer service line and they couldn't even tell me what it is I bought or resolve my issue. Supposedly they will have someone contact me...
Save yourself the time and download pc games from reputable sites.
Customer Service responded respectively and rather quickly. Of course, like most businesses, there are those underlying 'Fine-Prints'! The site has some good aspects and some glitches I, unfortunately, fell under the latter. Nevertheless, customer service promptly remedied the issue. I am apprehensive towards future use, but again I will admit I have used the site for years with no difficulties. Keep in mind if it sounds too good to be true it usually is.
I did not sign up for a subscription. I specifically purchased 1 game and one game only for the purchase price of $2.99 on 12/28/2020. I intentionally declined a subscription and unannounced to me, 1/27/2021 I was charged and subscribed anyway. I have not purchased or even played other games on this site recently. Years ago for free yes, but not in recent years and absolutely not for purchase. This is ridiculous and Downright unacceptable!
I was asked to sign up or to decline and I intentionally selected DECLINE. I did not use Paypal, I inputted my credit card for a one-time purchase directly on their site. Do not pay attention to anyone saying otherwise. We all use what we use for our own intended purposes and have the right to use it how we want. The subscription is absolutely HIDDEN! Why make it optional if you will secretly add it as a plan anyway.
I also purchased without an account as a guest and an account was set up for me with the email I used to purchase, when I requested 'forgotten password', I was sent a new password via email which is crazy because I never had one. I cannot delete the account or my card information on the site AT ALL! This is absolutely INSANE!
Also, initially, I received acknowledgment of my purchase and non-subscription further validating my claim. Call your card company they will rectify the problem and reimburse you. I personally was reimbursed not sure if it will work for everyone. I'm trying now to delete my account from the site which also is hidden, but I have been issued a new card in case my claims are undisputed.
I specifically used their official website directly not a third-party site. When using this site just be wary they have flaws and underlining scammer tendencies. I will admit in the past when using temporary downloads I haven't had any issues nor have I ever input any card info or purchased anything. This was my first and last purchase ever. In the past, I'd download a game for temporary use for a certain amount of time for absolutely FREE (no credit/debit card necessary). When the trial period expired, I was prompted to purchase a subscription and input card info for continued play which I have never done. I finally decided to purchase and input my card info and boy was I in for a root awakening. HUGE MISTAKE, HUGE! Never again, and I thought they were different! LMBO!
Tip for consumers:
BE WARY AND DO NOT INPUT ANY CREDIT/DEBIT CARD INFORMATION YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Before I purchased this game, I decided to look up on google if gamefools was legitimate and safe. I started reading each persons reviews and the most common problem is the subscription. Now, I used to be a manager for an online company. I can most certainly say that you consumers do not know how to read or search your pages correctly for the information you need to know. When you visit the purchase page, if you can simply look to your right underneath the words shopping cart it has boxes that include your game and the subscription. If you UNCLICK the subscription then you will NOT be charged the $14.99 every month. I will never understand why you all think this is so difficult to understand. Anytime a company forces you to pay with a credit card, if they mention "one-time" or "free". This should raise a red flag to you always. Check your entire purchase page before you submit your information. It is ridiculous to blame this company for your irresponsibility. I provided proof that if you unclick this option it will not put you on a subscription. Someone else below has a picture of being charged the subscription and it even provides a link to unsubscribe.
Tip for consumers:
Make sure you read before you place a purchase and read their Terms and Conditions or you might end up with a subscription.

How is this legal, i bought a 98 cent Minecraft key and then 5 months later i had noticed that they were taking monthly payments from me without any informance of this happening
People are complaining about this so called "hidden" monthly fee but when you buy it, it warns you multiple times about it. I bought Minecraft windows 10 for $0.60 USD and cancelled it immediately. The receipt even has ANOTHER warning, not to mention the PayPal emails also letting you know that there is a monthly payment added. If you could read, you shouldn't have a problem with this site.
Bought a minecraft account and it charged 15 dollars every month without telling me. $#*!ty scam website I dont reccomend going on the first website at all.
