We purchased a GE double oven wall unit and double door Refrigerator from in 2016. The expensive GE appliances have both required expensive repairs after warranties expired. $500 cooling fan replacement in the oven unit (3 years) and $400 fan replacement in the fridge (5 years). Both parts made in China. Buyer beware of GE appliances. Oven JT5500SFSS $2,500 Fridge GNE29GSKSS $1,800
Unfortunately we also purchased all GE appliances; dishwasher, cooktop and microwave... fingers crossed on those lasting longer than the oven and fridge.

After washing machine drum failure; bearing seal failure, main board burn up, all after just 4 years. The customer service from Haier is like talking to a wall. The reps are ignorant and provide no information. The retailer indicated that any new GE appliance will fail in the first 2 years and you should buy an extended warranty for $450. That on top of the $700 purchase price. I think you should not buy Chinese crap products any more. I won't. I am adding a large window sticker to my truck stating, "DON'T BUY GE / HAIER MANUFACTURED PRODUCTS AS THEY ARE ALL GARBAGE". If you decide to work on the washer yourself, cover all the edges of the sheet metal inside the unit. If you do not, you run the risk of sever injury and tetanus from the razor sharp / unfinished sheet metal parts. It is just the $hi# engineering you get from Chinese run manufacturing companies.
