GoPro was the pioneer in this sphere and the company still makes solid action cameras. But back in the day they were the best in it. I'm not sure if it's this way at the moment. But anyways you got a decent quality for the price.

Weeks later they still have my money and customer service doesn't care. I will have to do a credit card charge back. Honestly ordering directly from them is like buying from a scam website..

Terrible product. It froze for no reason and I lost valuable footage that can never be taken again. Called GoPro - they just offered an apology and said they'll inform their tech team. Since the 'glitch', I've discovered it's happened again and again. Should just have used my phone. Terrible waste of money. Offered me a 15% discount on their other prodcucts - laughable! Can't understand why their teach team can't fix the issue - just not investing enough money in their product and living off their name.

I have tried cancellation of my subscription. When I couldn't find a way to cancel, I canceled credit card and got a new one. Somehow your company charged that card again on annual membership totally without my authorization, this is total bullcrap. I have written a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and plan to seek out all avenues to review and warn all platforms and chats of your deceptive practices.

Total rip off of subscription, won't allow you to unsubscribe

I purchased a brand new Hero 10 Black that had an issue, so I contacted GoPro Support. They had me perform a few troubleshooting steps, submit a sample video, then they emailed me a return label. I sent the camera back and received a brand new replacement within two weeks. Their customer service reps were very professional and courteous, I had an overall great experience.

You can't call them directly. There is a phone number with a recording that directs you back to the website. DON'T pay for a subscription. If you want to cancel it, you get NO refund.

On September I bought new GoPro camera 12 black its details Invoice Number CS-*******, Order Number: MP-*******, Invoice Date: 9/12/2023.

First time i made video I understud that there is something wrong with camera, and I contacted your support, I sent some videos and they told me there is a problem with camera and I need to send it back to change it. The employee I was speaking through live chat (case number *******) told me to send everything that was contained in the box, all accessories even sd card. When I told there was no sd card he told me ok send whatever there is.
I send everything. When I received the new camera there was not even battery so that I can't check if the camera is working, there was empty box.
I spoke with you another colleague, he said we can't send anything because in previous chat it was told to send only the camera.

I was sure that you are a good company, but it turned out that you are not.I think that you stole me. If according to invoicing I should have send you only the camera than you needed to tell me when you received the whole package, that I didn't need to send it.
Your colleague insisted that I need to put everything in the box. Unfortunately I don't have any copy of the chat. I will spread this information on social media and anywhere I can for people to be informed. I am a lawyer and will follow this case.

My GoPro subscription was auto-renewed without any alert about the renewal. They just refused to give a refund! Be aware!

Tip for consumers:
If you want to cancel the subscription, make sure to cancel it before the renew date. Otherwise, they won't give you a refund.

Gopro Hero 11 Black is not waterproof and Gopro refuses warranty service!

First use of the camera was on vacation September 2023. During the first snorkeling immediately water has penetrated the camera and has destroyed the camera. Of course, the housing was sealed. After the vacation, I was even able to recover the incomplete underwater video from the SD card.
This proves the camera started up to the point of destruction due to water intrusion.

Unfortunately, communication with support is more than troublesome, as direct mail contact is not possible. You can only open a case in the customer portal and communicate by phone or chat and have to wait for GoPro to call back.

Here is the history of what happened:
11/21/2022 purchase of the Gopro Hero 11 Black directly in the GoPro store.

09/12/2023 First use vacation September 2023.

09/28/2023 Portal contact, my letter:
During the first underwater use, water has penetrated the camera.
The front display contains a water bubble.
The camera no longer works and must be repaired.

One receives a case number...
-
This was followed by the transmission of images...

09/29/2023 Response from GoPro:
I apologize for the delay in responding to your case.

I would like to inform you that based on the information and photos you provided, GoPro has determined that this is not a warranty issue.

We can exchange the camera for a fee.
The fee is 99€ + VAT. We will exchange the camera for the same model you have.
The fee is only possible by credit card.

I can not understand why this is not a warranty case:

There is no external damage you can see on the pictures, which confirms my proper handling of the camera.
Water has penetrated the camera, although the diving depth was not exceeded.
Only on the basis of pictures, this can not be verified, so no warranty can be excluded.

This is the very sad reaction balance from a supposed market leader. I did not get the opportunity to send in the camera.
Although the camera is still in warranty, it is simply excluded without a technician ever having the defective camera in hand.
I just warn, never buy from GoPro Shop

Canceled my subscription one day after I noticed they charged my credit card without notification. They did not want to reimburse me for the whole year even though we do not want to keep the subscription. They said I was one day late to cancel so I had to swallow the $49.99 subscription. Great company! So sad we really liked their product.

The quality of these cameras does not deserve their reputation nor popularity. They are constantly overheating and freezing generation after generation. These issues should've been addressed and resolved years ago. Also tech support or customer assistance is non-existant. I regret buying mine. Save your self the frustration.

Cameras that do not function well. Bad customer service about fixing their issues. For replacement of their bad products, they charge another $$$ 135 and more with trying you to subscribe, etc. I agree with the other review - their subscription is a scam! Either way, this company does not care about the customer or its products. They just trying to get from the customer as much as they can while not selling much of under-functioning overrated cameras. Very sad!

Pathetic that a company like this has to resort to bundling subscriptions with camera purchases in order to scam people out of $50 when it auto-renews. Then REFUSE to refund even though there is absolutely no reason not to issue a refund unless you are trying to straight up rob people since there is absolutely no equipment involved.

Look at the pathetic attempt they make to keep subscribers as they know their service is garbage and unnecessary. Hope they go out of business soon.

Two years ago I subscribed to their yearly subscription. A year ago when it came up for renewal, I cancelled. They offered me a discount to stay, but I refused because I didn't use the service. Now another year later, I see a charge from gopro. My credit card had expired so how they managed to charge me is bs, but I called. I've never dealt with such horrible people. They do not care. They have a fast answer for everything you try to say to them. They send renewal emails (they didn't. Yes I checked spam. I didn't check a box that allowed them to send me a renewal email) They can't transfer you. They can't see that you haven't logged on. Whatever you bring up, they have a fast answer. After getting a callback from a supervisor and getting treated even worse than the front line idiot in spite of me doing everything I could do to be polite, the only way I was going to get refunded was if I had a screenshot from a year ago that proved I cancelled. They do not care. They will treat you horribly if you call them. You might as well go straight to your credit card company and open a dispute. It's your only hope and it will save you from just being treated poorly by gopro. They will NEVER get another penny from me. Absolute horrible human beings.

Everything you do with them feels like a scam

1 not having an account setup for people who order their products without subscribing. So when i purchased i had no idea what happened because i couldnt look up my order until it had physically shipped.
2 a subscription that promises features then doesnt deliver
3 if you buy from them they charge you in another currency/country to what you purchased in and you get bank fees
4. They use dodgy shipping companies in australia that basically sit on the delivery in their delivery center. UPS got the camera to my city in 3 days (great work there). Its been sitting with couriersplease for 4 days with no indication of when it will be sent.
5. I assume if i have a warranty issue i will have to ship it back overseas to get it reviewed.

Im fed up with this company already and dont even have the camera.

so disappointed in the original action cam company i have had 3 cameras before and they get worse every time.

Have to take sd card out and insert it into computer(which is a pain). Battery started failing after 6 months. Wouldn't charge over 64%. Gopro's solution was to send me new charger. Couldn't fix the transfer problem! Way overpriced compared to comp!

Purchased a camera package for a Christmas gift and the day after receiving the price went down $10. I asked for a refund of the difference (every company I have dealt with in years of buying on line happily do this) and they refused. Would rather me return it and purchase another one. Horrible customer service is right.

BEWARE GoPro Subscriptions! Signed up for a 1-year subscription that I cancelled the same day it renewed. GoPro still charged my account multiple times. Customer Service? I purchased a GoPro 8 Black 10 months ago. Cam had a red light in the front of the cam. Checked their website for help. Found out these cameras have an existing problem with this issue.
Called customer service, advised all info they promised will get back to me which they never did. I waited 48 hours then i called back to find out because of the place I purchased it from they are not an authorize dealer. I argued with them on who cares where did I get my cam from since is still a Gopro Product they should honor the year warranty so they refused.

I will never buy a gopro product again.

My Gopro stops recording randomly. I had tried all the fixes I could find online. Customer support were useless, offered me advice on updating firmware and formatting SD cards, which I already knew. Very expensive waste of money.

I called a month after buying my GoPro to cancel my annual subscription, a year later saw i was charged on my card statement to a card that's frozen call and customer service said they don't issue refunds i never used the subscription services and never will i don't even have a GoPro any more. Horrible customer service wouldn't recommend to anyone else ever GoPro has list a customer for life.

The gopro is nice but beware of the scam they pull on you. They give you the "free" subscription and then charge you $50 the next year. It says one year subscription but it doesn't start when you get the camera, it's on the order date, which is a week before you get the actual camera and a day before a confirmation email. Even if your one hour late they don't give a..., too bad they say. Would never buy anything from this company stay far far away. Nice product terrible, terrible, customer service.
