Went to a site that appeared to be our hotel website. After reviewing their free cancellation policy, we clicked through and paid. Found they added a hidden fee of $90 on a $150 room, then refused to refund money when we invoked the free cancellation policy. When we tried to then accept the room, they said it was too late it was already cancelled and we'd have to rebook at full price. Impossible to speak to a human without acting like you're booking a new reservation, and then unhelpful.

I accidently booked by finding this scam plattform by google appearing as the official hotelwebsit and only having h-rez and the and of the domain. When I was at the hotel I had to pay extra taxes which was not indicated in the price cash. This is when I realized that I did not book direktly at the hotel. The Hotel refused to give me an invoice and the plattform got the money but did not want to send me an invoice and refered to the hotel... When I googled the plattform... the website said it is unsecure! I could not find any legal adress or name or company...

Unfortunatelly, by mistake, I made a reservation with this agency with Scapolatiello hotel in Cava dei Tirreni in Italy. Never received a reservation e-mail however the hotel did. When I wanted to cancel the reservation it was impossible: I had to call a number either in the UK and in the US but either I did not received an answer or I was left holding the call for ever. The hotel Scapolatiello did not want to cancel my reservation. In conclusion whoever accept reservation by H-rez should not be trusted.

I learned to day that a service fee of between $12 and $15 was the cost of making a reservation through HotelReservations.com. That's a rich percentage, and is not refundable if I need to cancel. This is not apparent until one gets the confirmation, and I didn't notice it. Will never use them again.

Booked a hotel last week through H-rez and received an acknowledgement, but no follow up e mail. But now need to call the company to change the booking. Nothing on the web site enables you to do so. Telephone numbers do not work and no e mail contact and no complaint procedure.

Money taken out of my account, and the hotel has confirmed that the booking has been made. But they will not change the booking as through an agent. IMPOSSIBLE TO COMMUNICATE. MUST BE IMPROVED.

I have to say that I do not agree with the negative comment. I don’t think it is because you have one bad experience that you need to scare people with words like scam and other horror stories. I had an excellent experience through H-Rez 3 weeks ago choosing a hotel in Boston. H-Rez is part of Hotel-Rez and are both Expedia partners, that is for me a proof of a high reliability concerning the information I get and the price. I called the customer support because I did not receive the booking confirmation (I made a mistake in my email address). The person I had on the phone was very courteous and dealt with my problem in a few seconds. I used them again to go to New York last week and again, everything went fine! I am happy to give a high five to H-Rez and would book again with them with my eyes closed!

I have the same negative response as the poster below.
I had a bad experience, canceled my trip 3 weeks before and still have to pay the whole lot. Never got a booking confirmation.
When I cancelled there was no warning about payment.
As soon as you click cancel you get a screen that you are fully charged.
The cancellation email I have received within 5 minutes, because they can put this money in their pocket without having to give any service.
It is better to book the hotel directly, maybe a bit more expensive, but no risk.
Hope I warned you all sufficiently.

IF YOU WANT TO RESERVER ANY RESORT PACKAGES THEN GOOGLE IT AND MAKE SURE YOU RESERVE ONLINE OR OVER THE PHONE WITH EXACTLY THAT RESORT OR REPUTABLE BRANDING WEBSITE LIKE, TRAVELOCITY, EXPEDIA, ETC ETC. NOT WITH THIS SCAM COMPANY H-REZ.COM...

1) I found this site by googling it about the Holiday Inn Vacations Club at Orange Lake Resort in Kissimmee, FL. & Found this site h-rez.com.
2) I just called their *******590 as it states at h-rez.com.
3) Gentleman was very helpful and ask me few question and made 3 days reservation.
4) I asked him if i will get 3 Bed Room Villa each room with 2 queen size beds and he wasnt sure first then he said yes i will.
5) At the end after giving him my credit card information, he summarize everthing again and said only 3 queen size bed 1 in each room.
6) I interepted him and asked him the same question again, he said "yes" very quickly and went to close the deal, i interepted again to go back and reconfirm cause i was having a doubt on this guy.
7) Long story short, before i hung up, i told him that i don't want this reservations AND BOOMM*** TOO LATE, HE RFUSED TO HELP ***
HIS RESPONSE WAS, IT'S CONFIRM, AND YOU CAN CALL THIS 800 NUMBER TO CANCEL THE RESERVATION ***
I GOT VERY UPSET AND ASKED HIM I AM NOT COMFORTABLE, HE WAS KEEP REPEATING THE SAME THINGS, "IS THERE ANY THING ELSE I CAN DO FOR YOU", my response, YEAH, I DONT WANT THIS, response TOO LATE...

I immediately called my AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD and explain them the situation, to my surprise, Amex cust. Service Rep mentioned a pending charges on my card which were exactly what this guy told me from h-rez.com but the company was EXPEDIA (hmmm...) Amex promised to take care of it once pending status changes to confirm...

MY RECOMMENDATION: *** STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE *** NO H-REZ.COM... *** SCAM, PROFESSIONAL LIERS... MONEY SUCKERS... ****

October 30,2015 I booked hotel on Malta through its site http://blueseasanantonhotelapartments.com/rooms.htm and got confirmation immidiately. Next day I tried to contact with hotel to resolve some details of my stay. But occured, That I havn't reservation there. And at all such site not exist. I mentioned only that that so called reservation was made tj my surprise by unknown to me http://reservations.hotel-rez.com. As appeared such site didn' exist or work at all. All this is just one big American swindler scheme. Farewell my $470. Thank you American authorities you accept such activity on your soil.
