Approx. 3 weeks ago, I purchased a sword off hanzoswords.com (O-ren Ishii shirasaya). The sword arrived a week later. As I opened the parcel I could see that Canada Post had damaged the sword beyond repair. The entire box was ripped to pieces, and the sword was completely destroyed (Blade was in perfect shape) everything else was destroyed. I immediately contacted Jennifer Sheahan (owner of the business) and explained to her what had happened to the sword that I ordered. She responded to me almost immediately and was just as in shock as I was. She offered to send me a replacement out right away. At this time I decided to place an order for the Bride sword, I explained the Jennifer that I would like them shipped together, she explained that it wouldn't be a problem, and charged no extra cost. Fast forward 2 weeks, both swords arrived in what I could only describe, as bullet proof packaging. The box was extremely thick, and both swords were well wrapped in an insane amount of packaging. As I opened the package I could see that my new Shirasaya was in there, along side the bride sword that I had ordered. I inspected both carefully and I must say that the quality of the swords are phenomenal for the price that they are charging, it was almost unbelievable. I will continue to spread the good word about this business, and possibly purchase more in the future.

I am writing now, because I didn't saw this website before. Years ago I have bought two katana, kill bill repros, 1 signed by madsen, 1 by carradine. Due to the type of items and what was writren on website I expected them with Certificates of Authenticity (CoA) and wall stand (agreed with the PO). Once arrived in Italy (with very long delay and crazy custom clearances), i found they were into an anonimous package, wrapped in chinese newspapers, without a receipt and without the CoAs. I wrote them several times, also proposing to pay an extra amount. I got an answer after long time, saying "we will ship them", but then they disappeared. I tried to write againg and againg, for months, no answers. I reached them on facebook, and after some comments I was blocked. What should have i to think? Why they were not ready to give what was due? If they don't give a CoA for a signed item it is difficult to think the deal as trasparent. I have saved all the emails exchange, as well the paypal receipt and custom docs, as a track, but after years I am still waiting for my CoAs. Bad deal

I recently purchased a replica bayonet from Hanzoswords about a week ago. The price was very reasonable, so my expectations were not too high for authenticity and quality. The bayonet I received is by far the best replica blade I have ever purchased. It mounted easily and securely on both my 1903 and my 03-A3.
I can highly recommend this particular blade and would trust any future transactions with Hanzoswords.

Have bought a number of swords from Hanzo swords over the years, including replicas from the Kill Bill, and Highlander movies. Great customer service, communication about shipping status, and good discount sales now and then too!

I am a longtime customer of hanzoswords.com. Making 5 or 6 orders i experience only one issue which was a shipping delay for a product but the company stayed in communication with me and gave me a free pocket knife for the delay.
They are good in my book and I would recommend them.
I find their prices to be very good, anyone who has posted with an issue if you email them I am sure she they will try to make things right.

the last coupon code i tried to use was dap to save ten percent i think it still works.

Amazing service, The managers was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their products, helped me out all of the way through the offering process. They always emailed me to make sure I was doing okay. Then texted me updates about shipping. They always wanted to make sure I was okay. I was never alone. I got my product and am happy with the service. They are prompt on response by phone AND email. Friendly people, good product, will definitely do business with them again.

Amazing service, Jen was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about her products, helped me out all of the way through the offering process, Then texted me updates about shipping. Customer Service has to be the best I have received yet. I am very happy they take time to ensure you are pleased with your order. Jen was an absolute pleasure to talk to. I am ecstatic that I was able to find not only a company that cares about its customers feelings towards their purchases, but the quality in those products as well... they have the perfect balance of excellent customer service and excellent product quality... I ordered a unique blue carbon steel blade to be featured in a full length film named "Blue Rising". I have been more than happy with the service and have gotten nothing but punctual replies. The people over at hanzoswords.com are great with answering questions and keeping their customers happy. I give 5/5 stars for them going out of the way to make sure i get the product i want and on time.

My first experience with Hanzo swords was rather nice actually, initially I had a little bit of trouble with My credit card on the site but it was the credit card companies fault, one phone call however put me in contact with the owner where she helped me get a large order ready to go. My order was placed on Monday and I received all products by Wednesday so shipping was very nice. I will be making more purchases this coming Monday and probably a few more around Christmas time so If you want a quality sword at a really good cost Hanzo swords can't be beat.!.!

I made an order for their Kill Bill Demon Katana on October 4,2014 and received it on Tuesday October 7. Literally a 3 days shipping. I have to say though, after reading the stuff on this site and searching up "hanzoswords reviews" I was very worry about how my sword would turns out.

And what do you know, it was an extremely beautiful sword. 1060 steel, razor sharp, and all the details from the Kill Bill movie. When I was still skeptical on Monday I called the store and ask to make sure everything was alright. I even asked about the returns policy and she was happily helping me with every details. But forget the return policy, I am keeping this sword because it is out of my expectation. For a 1060 sword I got it for a very good deal. I had fun in the backyard. I later asked the owner about the bad reviews, and she told me that the company changed owner during mid September, 2014 and she is now the new owner. So the mayhem that had happened was caused by the previous owner.

Anyways, give hanzoswords a second chance. I'm doing this honest review because I believe the new owner is very honest and hard working. And the product and service I received was far from what negativity people said in the past.

Tip for consumers:
Their Kill Bill Demon and Bride sword is by far the cheapest 1060 katana I've seen on the market. Get them while they are still available. It comes with a stand and sword clean kit.

Completely satisfied with my purchase and service. There was an issue with the product upon arrival due to damage during shipping, which is no fault of theirs. But I explained and they were extremely motivated to ensure my happiness and I received a brand new product two days later!

I've been a Farscape fan since the show premiered and have always wanted a pulse pistol. This is the first prop replica project that I'll be doing and looking forward to finish this piece for display. I was impressed with the quality and weight of the pulse pistol once finished I think it will look great on my wall.

I was very pleased w/ my experience w/ HanzoSwords.com. I purchased a replica of the Halo Covenant from another company which would not respond to any of my repeated communications. I ended up canceling the order (with a great deal of effort) and found this site. I ordered a similar sword from HanzoSwords.com. The next day I received a personal call from the owner telling me that they didn't have that model in stock, but that they would replace it with a newer model at no additional charge and it was on the truck the very next day. While it was unfortunate that we weren't able to get it by Christmas, it arrived the following Monday and my brother ended up loving the gift. The owner was very helpful every step of the way answering any questions and concerns that I had. I will definitely be going back to them. Their customer service is superb.

This is a really awesome website. I couldn't find any other website that would sell the sword I was looking for and spent almost three days searching. www.hanzosword.com had what I needed and they got my order here fast. I loved the sword and it was great quality way more than what I expected. I do plan to shop here again and they didn't fail me on my order.

My recent dealings with the new owners of Hanzoswords.com could not be more favorable. On September 23,2014, I called the company directly to inquire as to shipping time for a Michael Madsen- autographed Budd sword for a gift. I ended up speaking to the owner directly. She was very knowledgeable, was reassuring regarding shipping times and talked to me at length regarding different types of display mounts. I ended up ordering two swords. The swords arrived several days BEFORE expected, were exactly as described, and all ancillary components (stands, cleaning kits, certificate of authenticity, etc.)were included as promised. The owner even emailed me four pics of Michael Madsen signing the sword! I would order from this company again without hesitation. Don't be dissuaded by negative reviews of prior management/ownership issues. Hanzoswords.com really delivers.

I ordered 4 V for Vendetta replica daggers for my Halloween costume and all I can say is WOW! They're amazingly well-crafted blades that are both functional and beautiful. I was a little nervous that I might not receive in time for my Halloween party but Hanzo came through in spades. I highly recommend!

By far, the best customer service I have ever received!
Ordered: Specific props needed for Halloween costume.

I was contacted directly by the owner when the specific design of an item I ordered had unexpectedly run out of stock. She offered several more-than-reasonable resolutions, of which I accepted a substitute item (which was actually an upgrade) at no additional cost to me. She must have heard the lingering disappointment in my voice about the specific design I wanted, though, because she said she would make a few phone calls to see what she could do. Much to my delight, she called me back a short while later to let me know she was able to obtain my original item and would expedite the shipping.

As if this wasn't already going above and beyond for her customer, she set the bar even higher: After I expressed great interest in the substitute item as well, I was having trouble deciding which design I now wanted. As a solution to my indecisiveness, she offered both items to me for one amazingly low price, with no additional shipping cost! I was blown away and graciously accepted her offer. I received the items quickly and in excellent condition.

About a week later, I damaged a different costume accessory that I had purchased from another store/seller (prior to discovering hanzoswords.com). Panicked that Halloween was quickly approaching, yet feeling comfortable enough to call Hanzo Swords again for help, I gave the owner a call to see if there was anything she could do. She was more than willing to offer me a great deal on a replacement, even though I had not purchased the original from her! After describing the item to her, we discovered that HanzoSwords.com did not sell the same item that I needed a replacement for. This didn't stop her, though - she scoured her resources and found the exact item I was looking for. Despite not normally selling this item, after making a few phone calls she was able to order a single unit from a wholesaler AND have it shipped directly to my house to save on shipping time. The item arrived today, in pristine condition, and completes my Halloween costume perfectly!

I have never been treated so well by a business. To be contacted directly by the owner shows true commitment and involvement in her company. She talked to me like a normal person and showed legitimate interest in helping resolve my issues. She maintained professionalism all while being warm, friendly, and personable. I can't think of a better example of customer service and "going the extra mile."

I was so impressed with hanzoswords.com that I told a friend about the website and the superior service the owner provided. After hearing my experience, and seeing the quality of the items I had ordered, he now (very last-minute) wanted to dress as a similar character for Halloween and asked for the owner's contact information, to which I enthusiastically obliged. He gave her a call, she found what he needed, she was able to get him a great price, and his items are already on their way - to be delivered just in time for Halloween.:-)

I would recommend this site to anyone looking for swords, shields, and the like in a heartbeat. I will gladly promote their name here, and on other review sites, with the hopes that other companies might recognize and catch on to this owner's outstanding service. I can honestly say that if every business were run like this, the world would be a much happier place.:-)

HanzoSwords may have just saved Christmas for me. My son decided at the last minute that he wanted a katana to display in his room. Since he was a big Kill Bill fan, I could build him a Kill Bill display with swords from Hanzo Swords. I have to say that the quality of the autographed Michael Madsen sword is fantastic. I couldn't be happier. What has really stood out though during this has been Hanzo Swords' customer service. Jennifer has been superb at following up with me and even checked in to make sure that I was 100% happy. I HIGHLY recommend HanzoSwords.com and I will be a faithful customer going forward.

This was my first time dealing with HanzoSwords, and it won't be the last. Their choice and availability of weapons and armor are unsurpassed. The customer service department is friendly and goes above and beyond to help the customer.

I ordered the leather helmet liner and the Spanish Helmet.

The liner, is of leather and cotton construction, well made, looks good wearing it by itself, and definitely a plus for cushioning when used under the helmet. Top Quality.

The Spanish Helmet fits perfectly (With the liner) and is a perfect reproduction of a conquistadors. Its outside finish is mirror polished as it should be. The interior is a little rougher, but so were the originals, but whose looking at the inside, when its on your head? Again, True Quality.

Having attended several re-enactments from the 1600's time period, colonial America, I found re-enactors wearing this particular helmet more than others. The 1600's were transitional throughout the world, and countries would buy excess helmets from where ever available.

My interest for obtaining these two items, is as a re-enactor of Dutch, and English colonists in Orange (New Netherlands, Albany, 600's, And Musketeer in 1600 Virginia, CT. And Pennsylvania. Living in Illinois puts me closer to these activities. But when living in CA. 4 months of the year, its possible for me to use the same accouterments to portray a Spanish Conquistador.

HanzoSwords was definitely the place to buy from, for both price and quality.

I have had similar experiences with HanzoSwords.com. I did a simple order for a machete and stand. Three weeks later, no word from them on a ship date for items that were supposed to be in stock. Followed up again. They said it would be shipped "tomorrow". Absolute lie. Three more weeks and still no word. Followed up every day for several days. Few emails were answered. Claimed they shipped. Another week passes. No shipment. Finally shows up and the order is incomplete and the USPS tracking of the ship date proves that they lied about when it was originally shipped. It was not shipped until a few days previously. Several weeks of repeated lies. I send them another email, noting the deficience in the shipping. Where is the stand. That finally arrives about a week later. Don't trust these guys. No apologies. No breaks in price due to late shipments and incomplete shipments. No offers to make anything "right". Callous disrespect for customer.

Do not order from them. Google search on "hanzoswords.com review" and see the other customers that have complained.
