Had subscribed to find a main in KSA of which they had apparenlty many. Turns out only two out of the 100 were based in KSA. Most of them overseas which does not help. Also, subscribed to the one month only package. They auto renewed which means the two months cost more than the year. Absolute rip off and poor database. Would not use them again.

Beware! Scammers may ask for additional payments after you pay. They don't provide premium account benefits or refunds. Totally scammers.

This website is the biggest scam. They ask you to sign up to a monthly premium subscription that costs $160 USD and then when you try to cancel your AUTO-RENEWABLE membership, the page doesn't load, and many people have complained on Twitter that they have the same issue. They also don't reply to emails or online chats.

Not only that, all the candidates on their website are scammers. They tell you they want you to wire them money so they can "renew" their passports for $150 USD. Even though the average cost of a passport renewal in the Philippines is roughly around $25. This is also another scam I saw plenty of people complain about on Twitter.

STAY AWAY!

The idea to reduce the costs is the middle man and offering maids better deals is a good cause.
Problem is that the page has a lot of bugs and maids are either taken or do not respond. For me the site is waste is money.

I echo the comments by the previous reviewer. This Helperchoice website seems to have been founded with good intentions, but then got sold (?) to a new operator who seems to seek maximum profit from potential employers / users. They present the website access packages eg as a two week time period, but then go on to charge you automatically on your credit card every two weeks - under a misleading different company name (!). Surely it's somewhere legally covered in hidden fine print, but some people might call this almost a scam. By the time one has figured out what's going on, they'll have charged you several times. So they charge you more than a real employment agency (which would actually do all the paper work, immigration etc for you and the helper), while Helperchoice is merely a database with some profiles (and they do nothing really)

As for the questionable quality of their helper profiles, we ended up with two consecutive cases of helpers signing an employment contract and then disappearing / ignoring contact during the visa process (presumably they felt they found a yet better job).

They don't post the fact that it is an auto-renew on the dashboard page listing all subscription features, only sneakily on the side of the payment page. Yet they were responsive when I complained.

I came across the site HelperChoice.com, which caters the needs of both Employers and aspiring domestic maid. I thought the site was too simple at first but as I went through, I loved everything in there and how handy the site is in terms of navigation and most especially with giving information. If you need to find one domestic helper Singapore or Domestic Helper Hong Kong, I would recommend you to visit the site and even read through their blogs at www.helperchoice.com/blogs. All information you need about hiring and even getting a domestic help job are there. You can even enjoy reading the funny Diaries of Domestic Helper in the site. One thing the site was lacking is a live chat feature. This would've addressed urgent questions immediately. But all in all, I would say the site is very useful and is very informative.

Avoid helpers choice. In 2017 the system was easy to maneuver on line. But now I'm 2019 when I am looking for a new maid because mine leaves to get married, the tech system is terrible. I don't know who designed it but the old online was faster more efficient. 1. Note: now you can get hold of NOBODY to talk to when u have an online problem. The Chat system just keeps sending you videos you tube to figure out yourself. But this is not helpful because it's generic so you never find out how to solve your problem. After one month o went back to another website. 2. In fine print they say your subscription is automatic renewal. So even if you found your maid they will still bill you. But they don't tell you. When you tell them the problem they send you another you tube! Stop with the you tube. $#*!ty customer service 3. I notice there are lesser maids than before. They have all fled the system because the tech problem is inefficient. So same reason I am not happy with it, the maids aren't too. So you don't get the best ones here anymore! 4. When you say you live in Sai Kung as the system requires you to say where, the system ONLY sends maids in that area! And you can't get out of this. You have to state an area. And you only get maids in that area
I give THUMBS DOWN to Helpers Choice. I can't believe it is IT that spoils the business. They should get rid of the current system and go back to what it was. Simple. Fast. Assesible for maids and employees. Now it's not worth time or money. Please don't bother signing up. Hear it from me. Made me want to give up!
