This is a great communication app that puts the accent on dealing with real people who share a common interest and share knowledge. It's really a great app. Joining fees have been temporarily discounted so it's a steal right now.
Used to be interesting channel to hear about other countries - but now it is a dailly 2 1/2 minute diatribe about nothing interesting. Think of a low budget MAGA followerer channel which regurgitates the same thing daily like Trump did for every day of his life. Why only 25K followers - there is a fine young woman who just passed 1 million You tube followers. She must be doing something interestibng.
Thin skinned andy wants followers and brags about deleting people. Dont give money to any of his projects either because he never finishes them. I learned this the hard way, so just a warning, look st his youtube videos, he doesnt allow comments, and has about as many dislikes as likes, who else does this
The guy who runs this, Andy, charges you a $25 fee to become "verified" once you receive a postcard in the mail. The community is actually very small - about only 20 members that are active - the vast majority being 60+ years old and travelling mostly to Guatemala and Mexico.
Once you are a "verified" member, you can participate in chats on "The Wall". However, if you try to engage in a debate that is too spirited, the chances of your account becoming deleted are very high, and your $25 lost without any explanation or recourse. I know several other members who have been deleted as well. Despite the claim of being open minded, Andy has a thin skin and cannot tolerate any variation from his own strongly held views.
The website is also not so secure. Facebook Groups are so much better... and free as well.
Without notice he posted real names alongside members photos and deleted two members that complained. Then posted video saying deleting members is his favourite thing. A Mickey mouse site.
Don't drink the koolaid. Beware the narcissistic man behind the curtain. I paid, I joined, I was deleted. There is no freedom of speech.
People who have to tell people they are brutally honest are not usually honest. These are two GoFundMe money raisers that Andy ( everydayhobo/Hobotraveler) has done over the past few years. One Andy Lee Graham collected $1530,but by Andy's own metrics he only spent $450.The other fund raiser he collected $505 and pocketed 100% of the donations. If you donated you can get a refund from GoFundMe, I did. If Andy can provide proof that 100% of the donations went to these two causes I will remove this review
Your friend and all the best,

One of the best websites forums we have used. It protects participants from slander and harassment. Members who do not follow the rules are banned immediately.
Facebook/Twitter/ Youtube can be very dangerous. Andy's site is safe place to discuss topics without fear of retaliation by other members.

The best place to learn from other travellers and to meet friends. No anonymous people. 10/10. Real people with real experience.
He provides a lot of honest information. But I think you have to actually inspect a place to know whether you want to stay long there. Lots of concerns, such as the kind of people, cultural activities, nice locations, health care. Not enough to say health care is great, I'd like to see pics and more specific information, or physically inspect and talk to doctors. I have no criticism of Andy, I only say he is only a start.
The way it works is you send you info and $25 with credit card... then you get a postcard and code... input the code and your a member... he refused me a member; also made a YouTube video about me... showed my pic and name... the video was fun story. Hobo is safer than Facebook... going to get him for slander...
I enjoy his wisdom and perspective. You can learn a lot from him. He has travelled to 104 countries and he tells you the truth.

A low budget world traveler has created a low budget Facebook for sharing travel information. In these Covid Days not a whole lot of travel is going on and the site has deteriated to a bunch of guys complaining about the US government. It is not a hotbed of intellectualism. The founder, CEO, CFO, Andy links his YouTube videos and other content, all opinionated and not very valuable to the traveler. If your dream is living in a third world country on your social security you may find some value here. In the end you will probably regret sending Andy your $25, like me.
Tip for consumers:
Don't send money
