We rented a car from HolidayCars for pickup in Cozumel and paid the full amount of the rental in advance. We had also verified that our credit card and ICBC provided full insurance coverage for the rental. When we went to pick up the car the supplier MEX Rent-a-car would not rent the car to us unless we paid an additional $300 for insurance coverage. We reported this situation to HolidayCars and they essentially said in was our choice to buy the insurance...NOT TRUE. They have not provided any recourse...terrible customer service. Do NOT rent from this company...you will get ripped off. Date of experience: November 17,2023

We rented a car from HolidayCars for pickup in Cozumel and paid the full amount of the rental in advance. Made a reservation for their Orlando, Florida site. Our flight from Toronto was delayed. Followed instructions and called their Florida office. Phone number provided played a pre-recorded message informing customers where to meet shuttle in Orlando Airport. When we arrived (within HolidayCars hours of business, we went to the assigned meeting point for the shuttle and waited for over half an hour. By then their office had closed. Ended up renting last minute from another car rental agency at three times the price. When contacted, HolidayCars refused to issue a refund because we did not contact them in advance to inform them our flight was delayed. Even when phone records showing that we did call them were provided, they still clung to their no refund policy. Be aware that HolidayCars does not provide the cars, but contracts out the service to a third party. No integrity, no compassion, no honesty!

I rented a car through holiday cars for pickup at TPA.
This reservation was made months previously and all my credit card details were taken, and my voucher stated that my reservation was "confirmed". When I went to pick up my car I was told it was given to someone else and there were no cars available. But cars were available if I was willing to pay $600 more than my initial rental. I was left stranded at the airport!

When I called their customer service I was intentionally hung up on by their customer service associate because he didn't want to help me. It's clear this customer service rep was located over seas and could care less about providing reasonable or even decent customer service. This place is a scam!

Avoid holidaycars at all costs. Don't be fooled by low prices - they are a scam and will steal your money. Go with any other recognisable rental directly even if it costs you more. The terms and conditions of your rental with holidaycars are designed to make it highly likely that no car will be provided: if your flight lands 59 mins late then your booking is void without a refund.

I had double confirmed that my booking is correct, and the confirmation email sent to me is a wrong pick up location that why I go to cancel and change it right, however the cancellation fee is fully charge of the payment. My mother language is not in english, the supporter ask me should read the T&C carefully, but they even don't have a pop up alert message to tell the customer about the cancellation fee……

Horrible!

Do not use this company. We found them with the cheapest car hire price for our holiday in Queensland Australia. We took out their No Risk Warranty insurance. Unfortunately had an accident. But after claiming our Warranty repayment for $3000 they have stopped all contact to avoid giving us our coverage payment. We are having to take legal action next. Should have read the other reviews about them. Be warned, they are not worth the cheap rate when things go wrong. An absolute scam.

I completely agree Holidaycars.com are a complete RIP OFF, SCAM and SCUM.

I had booked a car with them in Morocco and when I arrived at the airport their supplier "Carwiz" wouldn't answer the phone. At the end I was forced to find another car right there and then which cost me double my booking price.

After bringing up the issue they asked me to send all the documents for my flight, my call log and the new contract for the new car I got from the new supplier. I sent them everything and all the proofs they required.

After several months they told me they would not cover rehousing fees. It's the poorest and worst service you will get anywhere. DO NOT BOOK with holidaycars.com or "Carwiz" at any price unless you want to have a MISERABLE EXPERIENCE

Don't ever rent a car from Holidaycars.com. They rob your off your money. I recently booked a rental car for 15 days but my arrival was delayed by 24 hours and they refused to give me the car for the remaining 14 days. The customer service is totally substandard. There is no phone contact, only email. Not possible to talk to someone. No access to any manage if you are dissatisfied with the customer service. If you don't want your vacation to be ruined DONOT RENT CAR FROM Holidaycars.com

We used Holiday which I know now is a third party booker for the company that actually provides the car. We were supposed to pick up a car in Keflavik Airport Iceland. When we got to the airport there was no information available to tell us where to get the car. My wife and I ended up wandering around the airport back lots in the rain trying to locate the office and car of the actual rental company Iceland Car Rental. There was no information from Holiday that told us the who we were actually renting from.

The rental car provide Kelly/Europcar have decided to cancel my rental when i arrived at Genf airport 20 min late 20h26, already something wrong confirmed they have cancelled my renting agreement and Holidaycars.com will reimbursed as contract cancel by convenience of the provider, but it never happens, many email communication but they do not have interest they are brooker runaway price attractiveness is not worth versus risk

This company is completely unreachable.

I needed to make a slight change to a reservation for covid reasons and the car rental company was ok with it but I was obligated to cancel the reservation because it was impossible reach them! They just never answer.

After many days calling and waiting on the line without any answer I finally got an answer by email saying they didn't care and they'd just keep my money.

Too bad 1 star it's the lowest i can give them cause I'd gladly give less.

After my car renting being canceled by Europcar the broker did not reimburse, Sending emails is useless they have only one concern it is to take your money the service and contract engagement not at all.

What a terrible company. My flight to Miami had one hour delay so the rental wouldnt keep my car or even give me an alternative solution. So I contacted Holidaycars and after 5 days I got a response. Actually a response that they couldn't help me either or have another solution. So I lost my damn $350.
Never ever again Holidaycars.

I had written a review stating that the company said I would receive a voucher instead of a refund for my cancellation due to the Pandemic.
I wrote them a third email again stating that I had purchased cancellation insurance.
They then stated that a refund would be processed for my deposit minus the cost of insurance.
I am happy to say my refund was processed back to my credit card.
I want to thank Holiday Car Rental for doing the right thing.

What a scam of a company, I book and unfortunately paid in full almost 2500 dollars on July 28th to August 25th. I went to pick up my car, the booking was locked from holidaycars side... They never answer the emergency number and they replied by email after 3 days... They refused to rebook the car or refund my money. They ruined my vacation and stole my money... A case was raised with Master card... do not use their service, it's a scam.

I booked a car through Holiday Cars (the original company Europe Cars) in Tunisia. No problems. I called the company before going there, they confirmed the booking. Europe cars have an office at the airport and their representative was waiting for me. We quickly completed the paperwork and I was on the road in my rented car. No problems with my experience.

Beware of scams!
We booked a rental car for 2 weeks in Colombia via this platform and paid the full amount in advance. We received the confirmation voucher and the money was debited. However, our booking was not passed on to the local agency.
So when we arrived, the local agency had no record of our reservation and no available vehicles.
The platform is very difficult to contact (no email address or WhatsApp), there is only a contact form.
The platform only sends automatic messages indicating that the request will be processed, but no concrete action is taken.
Despite several reminders and the filing of a complaint, it was impossible to get any news about the refund.
This is a fraudulent platform.

What a joke and steal money! If your flight lands late then your booking is void without a refund. Now I know Why they take Entire prepayment. Never has situation like that with different company. What was cheap turned out to be expensive. How people allow a company like this to exist.

Hello,

My name is Brian Kent, booking number *******. I had purchased insurance from the company for my rental car. Unfortunately someone caused damage to our car costing me $400 which I paid for then submitted a claim on the insurance I purchased with holiday cars. Holiday cars surprisingly approved the claim and said I would receive my funds in 5-8 business days after I sent them my bank information so they could electronically deposit the funds. I complied with their request but still haven't received the funds for over a month a half! I have continuously called and emailed their customer service and rarely get a competent individual that can help me, they keep saying wait longer or something is wrong with your bank and I need to contact them. I know that's not true as I work with banks on a daily basis but I did contact my bank and they have never received the funds or they would be in my account. Recently, the company said they have reissued the refund to me but again now 10 business days later, still haven't received the refund. Its absolutely absurd they continue to lie to me and withhold my refund of $400. They clearly just aren't sending the funds and delaying until the point I give up on it. Worst experience ever, we all know insurance companies do whatever they can not to pay on valid claims but this company takes that to a whole new level!

Very unreliable company. I made an order that I needed to change due to hospitalization. I asked to cancel but they said there is no refund at all so I asked to keep the order and they were not ready and charged me full payment ($450) without me getting any car. Customer service really didn't help, they just told me that unfortunately they had no way to help, because the money had already been transferred to the local car company. When I got to the local car company they said they had never had such an order from holidaycars and that they had not charged anything.
Do yourself a favor and don't order through this company, I feel like they just stole money from me.

I made 2 bookings with this Company since I found cheapest prices, than I cancelled after few minutes since I found a better price on another Plattform.
They Charged twice, even if the 2 Reservations have been cancelled. They told me I have to weit until 15 Working days, 3 weeks to get my money back.
A bit weird since the Charged my Credit card straight away. I will call my Bank tomorrow.
