“Homechoice fraudulent account nightmare”

Homechoice allowed someone to open a fraudulent account using my details. On making them aware they did their reviews and confirmed it was indeed fraud. That way October 2020. Now September 2021, 11 months later they still haven't closed nor notified credit bureau as they had promised. I have never had any dealings with them. They are fraud, the whole company.

Tip for consumers:
Always check the debit orders that come off your accounts.

I bought items from homechoice in May. I never took delivery of the items, they were delivered to the wrong address and subsequently returned to the seller the same week. I requested a refund as it was a cash purchase. Since May, they have been giving me the run around and now they are just ignoring my emails and calls and I still do not have my money. It is theft and I have contacted my lawyers to issue a letter of demand as this is unacceptable.

I closed my account in 2021 and have a paid up letter. I have called several times and sent emails instructing them to close this account so that no further purchases can go against the account or my ID/previous account. Every 6 months, someone at Homechoice makes a purchase, I have to call and cancel the order as it is fraudulently created. I suspect it is an internal job. Why can't they take instruction and close the account? I will never buy from there hence I want them to close it. They have kept it open so that their staff can make fraudulent purchases on it. Homechoice is the worst company ever! I would advise people not to buy online from Homechoice. Their customer experience is horrible!

I settled my account they informed me it will take 24 to 48 hours until I can receive the closure of the account letter. More than 48 hours later I have not received my account confirmation letter. Every single person I have spoken to has given different stories, different turnaround times. A call cannot be transferred to a supervisor or manager HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE. I was promised the Supervisor will phone me back. 15 hours later no phone call.

I received the wrong order. I send them an sms as I'm suppose to. The lady who called didn't help me at all, she was grumpy then drop the call without giving me instructions of returning the item. I'm not happy at all. I've been trying to contact them but nothing is helpful. I'm never buying anything to this company in the future.

Homechoice have poor customer service, i ordered last week on the 19 of Oct and made a payment same day but even today I have not received my order trying calling they're not helping but they took my money Useless company!

Dont share your personal information with HomeChoice, they share it with strangers. I don't have a HomeChoice account however Miss Letlala does. I don't know why im getting phone calls and messages about her account. I e emailed HomeChoice and informed their call Centre representatives that I am not Miss Letlala however the still continue to send me her ID and personal information. Do you understand how much damage can be done. I can easily buy things on her account, I can use her ID for illegal purposes. But nope, HomeChoice doesn't care. They continue to give me her information. Absolute idiots.

I wouldn't advice anyone to shop at homechoice. In December I ordered two blankets and the never arrived, when I called to enquire I was told they were delivered and signed by a lady I don't even know. Up to this day homechoice is quiet and no one is attending to my case as an investigation was opened. I am so disappointed I never expected this from homechoice and I am closing my account with them

I feel there is a big communication error in this company. Told whatever you get you to purchase then different upon delivery. Understand they can not come in. Fine, great, but how do you think you can put appliances in a yard and think it's ok. They have a dolly, but you can't use it. They said it was liability, well what about liability when I get hurt picking up the appliance with no dolly, that they had and was using. Then delivery wants to argue with me at my door when he came back the second time. Telling me what he told me. No, I know what you or whoever told me. I would of never bought appliance if I knew it was going to be thrown in the yard. Even furniture I bought in the pass was thrown in my yard when I came home from work. 3 hours before delivery was scheduled. Even then, someone came back and delivered it to my door, like stated. I told myself last time, I'd never go threw them again and still tried. They can keep that crap, I'll always go with someone else. There is no picture of proof because I told him he can take it back. I can't do nothing with a washer in my back yard

Joke of the year: Below is a post I made to try and warn others about Homechoice, my first experience with them, and last! After the post I was contacted and was told that they have now infact received the wrong package I sent back (they sent me not at all what I ordered), and said they in the process of correcting it, I will receive the goods I paid for... After weeks of struggling to get them to fix their mistake they send me the exact same wrong goods back again, pathetic!...

Don't support this business! My first experience with them: Placed order, paid, package arrived and it was not what I paid for. Had to wait 14 days for courier to collect, then was told have to wait another 14 days, now another 14days later they say after collection it can take up to 30 days. You telling me the courier is riding around for almost 2 months with the package? This was a Mothers day gift, we now in June and they saying it can take another 30 days. It sounds more like they dont know where the package I sent back is now... So my first experience with them: They did not check the package before sending to me (Which seems to be a norm when looking at the other reviews), then they make me wait almost 2 months to fix their mistake!?! This is just ridiculous! Still waiting to get my correct package! When?

I called them about a pool pump issue. They sent a technician which was very pleasant who informed me that I needed a new pump.

He was told by choice that he should replace the motor of the pump rather than replacement of the pump as he requested. Unfortunately he could not find a motor.

I have spoken to six individuals in the customer department. Each of which informed me that I have a maximum of $3,000.00 to fix the pump. They informed me that I could use the same technician that initially made the diagnosis.

After waiting for nearly 8 weeks: during which time the pool has already become totally green with algae: I purchase a pump and had the same technician that was sent originally from Choice that make the diagnosis; installed the pump. Now they refused to pay for the cost of the pump; I paid $2035.75 for the pump plus installation cost of $300.00.

Numerous individuals from their company have already told me the maximum cost they would be reimbursed. Now, there are telling me that they they would only pay $400.00 for the pump.

I have spent significant amount of money to get coverage for my many rentals. They informed me that if I cancel all of my policies with them that they would only reimburse me $1800.00 after paying almost $10,000.00 or more for the policies.

I would never, never, never never, never recommend any customer to Choice. They are not to be trusted. Once my Warrantee expires from all of my policies. I would never, never, never, never, never again purchase any Warrantee from them. Be careful of this company.!

Do not purchase policy more than a year. What they will tell you; that if you purchase three years; you will get a discount and that you can cancel any time.

But what they are not telling you is; if you cancel; they subtract any service you might have had and then sent you a small amount of money and tell you that you have no money left from your policy.

They never gave this information to me. So your money is tied up after you spent thousand of dollars and you actually got nothing in return to you.

Do not buy from them; if possible. If you decided to purchase from them. Do not pay for more than 1 year.

I been calling since mid February 2021 but no1 is assisting me. I paid up my account and I I forwarded my paid up letter to contact center so that my my account can be updated at credit bureau. I been calling everyday so that I can speak to the manager I was told the manager will call me. Agents are rude and customer service is very poor

Dont open an account at homechoice just do cash payment to avoid stress

2 out of 3 of thebparcels that comes in my order was said it is delivered on sms and we didn't receive it. The customer service just escalate when you phone and they do not come back to you. Their fraudline takes a month to help you and the supervisor and manager are never available to speak to clients.

If you fall almost a month behind on a 100.00 dollar payment, they'll send 3 guys to your house that will obnoxiously bang on your door for almost an hour straight, while hollering threats, and laughing about it, than pretend to walk away from the door. As they flip the door off, laugh some more as they stand by the side of the door not realizing you have a hidden camera by your door recording the whole thing. Than, when you finally get sick of hearing your dog freaking out while your on the phone with a client for a serious matter, and tired of hearing someone banging on the door for almost an hour staright,, being loud, upsetting your. Neighbors, escalating the situation so bad the cops show up, than lying to the cops saying you threatened their lives, when all you did was swing the door open, feeling pissed off and harassed, being interrupted from work, I talk to 100s of clients a day on the phone, I cant just walk away from the call tell them they need to leave or I'll A, sick my dog out, B grab my bat, or C show them that I have a stun gun and their making me feel a bit intimidated by having 3 guys banging on my door yelling they're coming in. They'll try to turn it around. Play innocent and they were the ones attacked. I'm so glad I installed that camera a week ago. A false terrorist threat charge against someone over a 100.00 payment for a not even month old bill is a bit extreme. My lawyer is looking forward to dealing with these guys and my proof :) Take your business elsewhere. They love to use illegal tactics and make you feel threatened. But yet refuse your payment and just want to argue with you.

I was generous enough to take a phone call from Homechoice. I ordered some bedding sets. The order was confirmed and I approved the debit order. The problem started when I asked homechoice to change the delivery address to my work place address.
How can they expect payment but not send the order?

I am sick of tired of homechoice i have been calling them day in and day out everyday but seems as if i am not getting any help...someone took a fridge fraduently with my account and i made a dispute i submitted requested documents they advised that everything has being cleared and i am not liable of fraud that was done under my account and a request has being send to bureau to clear up my name but nothing is cleared up the amount is still reflecting under my credit profile called credit bureua and they had advised that they did not get any coomunication from homechoice advising that my name my must be cleared i send out emails i am not being responded and when i call the customer care the agents seems unsure of what they are doing when you request for a manager they hangup this is so unprofessional on another level this is such an incovience for me this account is messing up my bureau profile so bad all because of reckless landing on your end now i have to be running around you as if its my fault i am sick and tired i wouldnt recommend anyone to have homechoice account everything its just not proffesional because when i reach out to the customer care i am not getting any help...Worst customer service

I have seen the advert and the catalogue of home choice, I so love the kitchen ware. I couldn't even resist but to make an order of my dinner sets that are on sale. I am so exited I can't wait for my order to arrive.

Homechoice sales personnel are harassing me everyday. They call me everyday twice or three times. They call me everyday as if I owe them some money. Please homechoice stop calling me and remove my name on your database. I bought from you ten years back ago but you are still calling me everyday as if I owe you. Please stop this nonsense. It is so annoying. I will never buy anything from you because buying from you seems like a crime.
