Sending a Thank you to Quince(sorry if I spelled your name wrong)one of your customer service representatives. She was professional, polite & nice this morning when I called to make my car payment. Great job.
The true frustration emerged when I leased my Honda CRV from California in December 2020. At that time, I opted for a Honda Care Vehicle service, which cost $1295. However, within 20 days, I changed my mind and promptly contacted the Honda dealership to cancel the service. They confirmed the cancellation and sent me a letter as proof. Despite this, a few months later, I noticed that I was still being charged for monthly care services. Upon calling the dealership, they assured me that they were working on resolving the issue. However, reaching a resolution proved to be a time-consuming process, and despite their assurances, the charges persisted. They claimed the total amount would be applied to my balance at the end of the lease. This situation was particularly frustrating as the charge was not for a security deposit or a car payment, but for a Honda Care service contract that I had explicitly rejected. And I don't know if they have the right to hold my money for three years. It felt akin to dealing with a financial institution that not only took my money but also imposed additional charges, resembling interest. After three years of leasing, I purchased the vehicle and completed all the necessary paperwork. Upon requesting a refund for the amount paid to Honda Care or an adjusted balance, I encountered further challenges and received subpar service. Eventually, they sent a check, but to my dismay, they deducted $181.82. This included $84.3 for property tax, citing my move to Texas, and an undisclosed amount for reasons unknown to me. I am compelled to consult with my legal adviser regarding these discrepancies. It is disheartening to realize that I paid for services I never received, coupled with unwarranted taxes and hidden costs. This experience highlights a flawed and corrupted system that urgently requires rectification.
I tried to resolved issue with head office Honda financial and I talk to Silvia, she was not only boorish, rude but completely out of logic. She does not respect anyone included herself. Never had so bad experience in my live. I feel so sorry for company with employees like her. Its actually zero star review

There have been over 40 phone calls with Honda, explaining the situation with rep after rep, only to hear 'that's above me and someone will reach out to you'. No one reaches out. When the month-to-month lease was renewed back in December 2022, your Honda Finance representative explicitly stated that once I no longer wanted the car anymore, all I needed to do was drop it off at any Southern California dealership. That very question was clearly asked and answered.
The Signal Hill dealership refused to fix the car's condenser after the problem was diagnosed in Downey, arguing that Signal Hill would charge me for its own diagnosis. I decided to return the car there, at Honda Signal Hill, per the only information ever provided to me via Honda Finance. The owner said he would not accept the car and would thus file it as abandoned if I do not pick it up.
I placed several calls to Honda Finance to ask why he was refusing to accept the car. Your representatives were telling me instructions as to what to tell the owner so he would take it. My response to your reps was, "YOU tell him!" Their response was basically 'that's above me and someone will reach out'. No one reached out. I finally got someone to at least try to assist. From there, your Finance Department wrote a letter to Honda Signal Hill, asking the owner to accept the vehicle. The owner again said no. I told the owner he is unfriendly and incompetent…but I was only half way right. While he indeed is unfriendly, the title of incompetence goes to Honda Finance.
It took 13 phone calls before any Honda Finance representative said, for the first time ever, that the Signal Hill location was not a location which accepts corporate cars. This would explain why the Signal Hill owner was so baffled when Honda Finance wrote the letter asking him to take it. Honda Finance didn't even know its own protocol. It turned out that it is Honda Cerritos which takes corporate returns, a dealership which is only a 15-minute drive away. I would have happily returned it there on 17 June if Honda had instructed me to, as it is even closer to my home. It makes absolutely no difference to me as long as I am informed properly. It took 1.5 months to even figure out what the problem was.
Back in August, I sat down with the Signal Hill General Manager John Pill. He flat out told Honda Finance you guys are doing this all wrong and that you have been giving me the "runaround" for quite some time. From this very lengthy call, this was the first time EVER that a third party called "True 360" was mentioned in any conversation. It turns out that True 360 would need to come to a location of my choosing for an inspection. 3 months after dropping off the car at a dealership Honda Finance approved, I was finally told, for the first time ever, that all we needed to do was have True 360 come to Honda Signal Hill. Keep in mind John Pill also called Honda Finance several times, asking for instructions. He got the same confusion I got. True 360 went to Signal Hill Honda in September I believe.
So you think once True 360 finished, you guys would relocate the car and we are all done. Right? No. The car sat in the Signal Hill lot for months before the dealership arranged for it to be towed over to Cerritos (I do not know which dealership paid for it). Once it got to Cerritos, I was told I was months overdue, with an outstanding bill. Pretty much, Honda is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life.
They gave me a two month reprieve for Covid. TWO months.
FOUR YEARS LATER they sent me a bill for over $200
I called and it's for INTEREST on those TWO months that was because of COVID.
They can kiss my behind! RUDE~~
I tried a loan for my car to not wipe out my bank account and now I'm locked into a long 4 year long loan. The sales attendant did not quote how long the loan was. They kept dodging the question for loan longevity. They also didn't quote that each payment would have interest taken out of it. I created a digital account and my paper statements ceased. I tried to get them reactivated to remind my self to pay them but to no success. Even if you pay more than the money you owe monthly you still have to pay the monthly amount owed. I never missed a payment but if it's like Toyota it's hell. No I do not recommend auto pay. You'll fight to get your money back. Send them a check! Do not do their auto pay. Why they don't have bill pay set up I don't know. I'd be a lot easier and less paper.

This is my fourth Honda. I don't have a problem with the vehicle, however, the website is just awful. I've been trying in vain to make sure that my auto payment continues with my new lease. Trying to access that particular info in my account has been an abject failure. Trying to speak with a live agent after numerous tries has been impossible. Many times clicking on a particular link has just led to absolutely nothing happening. It's not my computer, internet connection or lack of computer skills. The webmaster should be held accountable for this. Or better yet, get a new one.
We contacted Honda Financial Services, asking if we can turn in my fathers Civic which has $8,000 in equity, in order to pay for his private aids during his hospice care. Honda said, surrending his car to the dealer is a breach of contract and he would get no equity in return, and it would damage his credit score. Honda would then sell his car, pocketing my father's equity. That's the face of corporate America.
They have the worst customer service ever! NEVER EVER ACCEPT A DEALER TO USE THEM! YOU CAN DO BETTER WITH ANYONE ELSE!
Honda financial services is worst company! Stay away. They will steal your money and not treat you with any respect. They speak to you in a condescending way. I accidently sent the 2 payments for one month, I requested to get a money refund, they informed me that there were two payments make. However, they needed proof from my bank. The payments were made electronically. I provide them a copy where it cleared the bank and they still refuse to refund my money, and would not let me talk to a manager or supervisor. I called my bank and request them pay out. I would advise to not do any type of business with them unless you want to be broke.
Recently the Honda Financial Website has been updated. Now, there is no way to see the balance on the account. Also, there is no way to contact Honda about the website unless you call their 800 number, which has a wait time over an hour. Will be done with my current lease in the next few weeks and I hope never to have to use Honda Financial Website ever again.
If I could give a ZERO RATING I would! These folks are corrupt and will lie about their mistakes. They lost a payment, called 60 days later and claimed they found in in a "stack of mail" and yet still reported me as. 30-days delinquent, hurting my excellent credit score!
My bank, who sends the checks electronically, even called them and explained that the payment was sent and simply "admit your mistake Honda and correct it", they refused.
Awful people and too big to fight but, LAST HONDA I EVER BUY! They lose!
Paid off my 2021 CRV. Received Title 2 weeks later. Pleasant experience. Easy Pay was simple and easy. I do not understand why there are so many complaints.
I have never been more dissatisfied with the customer service department. The fact that when I am upset, there is no complaint department and I am told that a supervisor would have to call me back, but most likely would not call me back because of my concerns really is not OK if you have any other option to buy a vehicle through please look at that option do not buy through Honda financial
I am highly disappointed and regret ever dealing with Honda Finance. First and foremost, I have been their loyal customer since 2019 and faithful in paying their money but late last year I lost my job and I explained to them. However, we made a payment plan, having done that they still went ahead and reported to credit bureau for late payment twice in two weeks. Lately again despite the fact that we have paid for December 2022 they still went and report late payment.
Moreso, their customer representatives are untrained and has no empathy for their customers, they issue a threatening words most of the time we called them. Please people should restrain from dealing with them because they are not ready to consider your plight.
Honda dealership in Bay County has one of the best teams I've seen in a business since I've been in Florida! If you can think it, chances are GREAT Honda Of Bay County Florida made it happen for me! No money down and I got to choose my own car!
Spoke with Asia both times. Terrible service. Terrible attitude. 10/10 and 10/14. She is in the texas office. I've asked for a supervisor and she said they are not available to speak on the phone. I asked to have a manager call me and she said they would and they never did.
I am just trying to work out a lease extension and they are not flexible or able to have a conversation about this at all.
On a 1-10, Honda gets a zero.
So we paid off our 2022 HRV Honda, they sent us the paperwork saying it was paid off and they did not fill it out completely or correctly they said they would send the tag office the correct paperwork by today (8/16/23) they did not and now they act like they don't have a clue what to do it's not my job to do all their leg work they're the ones that screwed this up. I can't even get a title now for my paid off car till they decide to get off their lazy asses and fix it.
This will most likely be my last Honda I've never had an experience with a company upon paying off a vehicle like I have with them their customer service sucks.
Talked to a customer service agent today they said a supervisor will contact me within 24 to 48 hours that's just pure horse crap.
Honda you suck.
Need to change your email address on your account? Good luck getting the website to cooperate or being able to access an actual human to help! I just need to change my email as I no longer use the one I originally set up my account with. When I tell you I have had to jump through hoops to make this happen... their website seems very behind technology-wise, and I believe their customer service team is operating under a top secret classified mission as the phone menu doesn't even give you the option.
When you buy a used car the dealer always tries to sell you something. Before you sign read what is excluded from the contract. They want to try to make you hurry up, but ask to read the contract. I bought a Toyota Warranty and they fixed my problem. I called American Honda in Torance, CA. And they didn't even care about my complaint and told me to go back to the dealer. You are buying a maintenance contract not an extended Warranty.
WHATEVER YOU DO DONT GET A CAR LOAN THROUGH HONDA FINACIAL THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND DESTROY YOUR CREDIT!
I have worked a long side alot of terrible companies but Honda financial services is by far the worst. I 100% recommend the brand Honda but their loan company is by far the worst with evading, leaving you on hold, not returning answers. You are better off with a shark loan company to than Honda financial.
When you lease ends, either you lease another Honda without any problems. If you surrender the car they will rip you off for normal wear and tear. They expect the return of the car to be in showroom condition. They are charging me $2646. 86 in normal wear and tear to return the car. They are charging me for the 2 tires which had normal use for duration of the lease. The are charging me for not noticeable scratches / dents. I would not recommend anybody to lease from Honda ever again.
Website is horrible, whatever you click on doesn't work. It asks for your loan, lease or vin number something you won't have with you verses security questions or the last 4 of your social security number. Don't even think you'll get someone on the phone. I left work, stopped at the store and drove home all while waiting for someone to pick up the phone then was disconnected. Don't pay and then you'll have someone on the phone.
Tip for consumers:
If you want someone on the phone, don't pay. They'll call real quick then.
I paid off my lease and asked for the title to be overnighted. They agreed it would be sent that day, it wasn't. Called the following day, they said it will be sent that day, it wasn't. I called the following day, same thing… I called a 4th and 5th time and they cannot get a manager to contact me nor get the title sent. I will never in my life own or finance anything Honda.
Provides Honda financing, lease and extended warranty options to help you when considering a new Honda lease or purchase.
