So happy we decided to buy a moissanite wedding ring from Honest Solitaire. We ordered the ring custom design and size and it arrived a couple months later because of customs. Customer service always answered when I had a question, and I can imagine they have a lot. A lot of inquiries to get through daily. I appreciate the price they are able to offer for the quality of the product, we would not be able to find anything else like it in the US.

NEVER GOT MY RING! If wedding planning isn't stressful enough but ordering my wedding band from here made my stress and anxiety 100 times worse. I ordered my custom ring back in December and had to buy a wedding band from elsewhere as I did not get it in August! There was minimal communication and I had to reach out about 10 times through phone, email and messaging to get any answers, I was always told a "couple of weeks" every time and once that passed I was told another timeline if I could even get a hold of them. I found them very defensive and always blaming something (ie was on vacation, production delays, low staffing etc.), it was suppose to be done within 5 weeks but 9 months later and nothing... My fiancé ordered my engagement ring from here so I thought everything would go smoothly but now I would never recommend this business to anyone. I highly suggest looking at different places to order your rings from. I love to support local but ordering from here just caused more problems, there are other small business you can order from that are 100 times better.

Ordered a ring from website, 10 weeks ago, still haven't received it. I payed extra for fast track shipping so I would get it in three to four weeks because I had the engagement all planned. Messaged a number of time and not once would they give me an estimated time of arrival. Last time I messaged I was told it was shipped almost 2 weeks ago, but they never gave me a tracking number. This is being shipped within Canada. I also payed extra fee for buyer protection which is good for 60 days after order in placed, now I'm at almost 70 days and my protection, I'm assuming is expired, and I have no ring.

I wrote a review on 04/05/20 and titled it MAYBE A SCAM. 5 days after writing that review I received the ring.
With so many online scams, I initially thought I had become a victim. With poor communication and false information about status of my order I began to think that a engagement ring was not coming my way.
I must say that the ring was beautiful until shortly after the one year warranty was up, the stone fell out. I contacted Honest Solitaire and they repaired the ring at no cost to me. But communication was still not the greatest. For a while I thought I would never see the ring again. It took 2 months from the time I shipped the ring to get it repaired. I shipped the ring in it original ring box but was returned to me in an envelope.
I upgraded my review to two stars because Honest Solitaire did not have to repair the ring outside of the warranty.
I would not have wrote a negative review if I wasn't falsely informed about the status of my order and the truth about the status was communicated to me.

Tip for consumers:
Give yourself 2-3 months for shipping. Email for order status often

Unprofessional thieves. Take money from a young couple and lie and do not provide the ring. So disgusting and heartbreaking for a you couple to go through.

If you're looking to buy your partner a ring from here DONT!. They are more than happy to take your money and ghost you.

I placed an order in November for the Ashli ring, hoping It would arrive before Christmas as that's when I was wanting to propose….I was told it would take 6-12 weeks to arrive, we are now on week 18 (5 months), and still no ring, I have called numerous times, no answer. Texted, no response. Emailed, little to no response (99.99%) of the time.

You would think that buying an engagement ring would be an exciting experience… well it hasn't, both me and my fiancé have questioned whether or not we may have been scammed due to the lack of communication.

I understand that there's supply chain issues and it's hard for you as a company to track and update every one of your customers orders, but the least you can do is pick up the phone, respond to a text or email, even if it's the same answer. It's called customer service and unfortunately your customer service is non-existent.

Overall this experience has been the farthest thing from exciting. I definitely will not be recommending this business to my friends and family. It's a shame because our next purchase is going to be wedding bands… you lost a loyal and repeat customer.

Would leave a zero star review if I could

They explained to me the issues they had at the end of 2022 and most of 2023. I understand. They are a small local business. To be honest the first time I ordered they were in a tiny office they rented part time. I was happy to see them grow into a bigger office and eventually a store (where I ordered wedding bands in 2023, yes very late delivery). Overall though, they provided me with loaner bands when mine were late. This was great. My first purchase in 2019 went very smoothly and I received an amazing pear ring for my wife. All my final products are great and I've had no issues. I still recommend this small business and hope to see them on their feet again.

When I was choosing a good jewelry for the anniversary of the wedding with my wife, I tried to find the best from the best. In my opinion, people always have to pay attention to various presents like jewelries, because they literally help your relationship to be stable and tight. I found this company and decided to apply to the managers here in order to find out all the details concerning a particular ring. They explained me everything politely and created an order. The ring came pretty fast and I have already gifted it to my wife. She ws so happy that I haven't seen her so happy.

On October 1,2022, my fiancé contacted Honest Solitaire to order a custom engagement ring. He advised the owner of what he wanted to order, filled out a form and provided his VISA number to place the order. He was advised that he would receive a photo rendering of the final design once it was completed and that the ring would be ready in 3 - 6 weeks. He never received a photo rendering, however the order was placed and his VISA was charged right away. He had no idea what the final ring would look like and to this day, we still don't know. He had to propose with a loaner ring instead of the real thing.
Once the six week period had passed and we got no call or update, I called to check only to be told pretty rudely by the owner that it was actually going to take 16 weeks. That would have made the completion date January 22,2023.
On December 3,2022, my fiancé and I went to the store to speak to someone in person about the photo rendering, and to find out what was going on because they would not answer our calls. The employees told us that they had no idea on the status of the ring, but in fact it would only take 12 weeks maximum, and the ring would arrive either just before Christmas or the week after. As we expected, it never came.
We called multiple times for the next two months with no answer until finally they picked up the phone in late January. We were told it was finished and being shipped. The website says shipping takes two and seven business days. We were also supposed to receive a tracking number and never did. We gave them 2 weeks to give them time for any delays but heard nothing. We called again several times, only to find out that the owner went away on vacation and apparently the employees are not allowed to accept any packages when she's gone so even if our ring did arrive, we wouldn't have gotten it.
I called and texted multiple times in February for a meeting but they ignored me so I booked a consultation with the owner herself through their online portal. When we got there, the owner didn't show up for our meeting and the employees told us they would probably be able to get us a refund. We had to tell them that their website states a no refund policy and the employees told us that they are not familiar with their own website.
It has been almost 24 weeks since we ordered our ring. We have no idea what it looks like, where it is or when it will get here. At this point we don't even know for sure if it's been started or not because this company has terrible communication and absolutely zero follow through. We have had to reschedule our engagement shoot twice and I have gone my entire engagement without a ring. I get married in 5 months and have no indication on where it is. We've been given multiple different completion dates, stories and quite frankly lies about what is going on with our ring. The store puts you in a position where they take your money and then hang you out to dry until your ring comes in… or not. They recently posted on their Instagram that their iPad broke which apparently means that clients have no way to call or email the store with any questions at all until it is fixed which they don't have a timeline for. I don't understand how a company in this day and age can function properly without a phone or a computer. We also found out that they only have a one year warranty on their rings and their website states that they reserve the right to revoke your warranty at their discretion. That sounds nothing but shady and very unprofessional for a ring company. For something as special as an engagement ring, I wouldn't waste your time with this company. Buying an engagement ring should not be a risk or a game and that's exactly what this company has put us through. We have recently discovered a myriad of other negative reviews of people who have experienced the exact same thing as us. We know better for next time to look reviews more thoroughly but regardless, this company is not worth the time or the hassle.

Do not buy a ring from this company! I am writing this review on behalf of a friend of mine who had an UNBELIEVABLE experience with this company. My friend is very passionate about supporting local businesses and when she heard of this company she expressed her interest in it to her now finacé. He custom designed the ring but was never emailed a confirmation or final draft of what it would look like, even though he was supposed to receive this to give final confirmation. He was told the ring would be ready after 3-6 weeks following his confirmation. After 6 weeks there was still no word. At this point, my friend had been proposed to regardless of the ring. She called the store to inquire about the ring and was met with an incredibly rude response by their owner about their no-contact policy and that the ring would actually be ready after 16 weeks. Then in December. They went info the store. They dealt with the two young ladies at the store and they were lovely and polite, but incredibly unaware of their business policies. They had shared that they were experiencing delays and that it should arrive 12 weeks after being ordered (again a different number from the past two communications) and they could offer a loaner ring in the meantime. This seemed reasonable enough, and when asked about if there would be a cost to the ring, the girls were unsure and actually had to call the owner. They were told there would be no cost to the loaner ring, but just simply a damage fee to pay if the ring came back damaged or was lost. Since this meeting, my friends have received multiple emails requesting payement for this loaner ring. Then in January, they were told the ring was shipped and would be arriving shortly. Weeks later they were told the ring had arrived, but the owner was on vacation and the two young girls working in the store could not sing for the delivery. My friends tried for weeks to contact the company to get further information about when they could expect their ring and where it was since it had apparently been attempted to be delivered. They received no response at all. They finally booked a consultation online just to be able to speak with the owner of the store about what was going on with their ring. When they arrived for this consultation with the owner, the owner did not show up. They ended speaking to the same young girls that they dealt with in December and they were told that the owner doesn't actually work in the store, meaning that the earlier excuse of her being on vacation and being unable to sign for the delivery was a lie. My friends requested a phone call from the owner that same day to request a refund as the contract and agreement was not met. The owner was incredibly rude on this phone call and extremely unsympathetic. My friend has not had the opportunity to enjoy the last 6+ months of her engagement due to this extremely unprofessional and upsetting situation. Both her and her fiancé have been extremely stressed and have felt scammed throughout this entire process. I am disheartened for them both. They both have had to share their unfortunate experience time and time again when being asked to see the ring or the engagement story. They have also had to reschedule their engagement photos twice already. They have since learned many other upsetting policies of this company. I am hoping by sharing this story we can help other couples avoid the stress and frustration that my friends have had to experience. Unless you are in no rush for your ring and have no worries in trusting this company with your expensive purchase, I would highly recommend another store. I would also recommend taking a deep dive into their website and their policies.

I ordered two custom rings with Honest Solitaire mid-June. The service and response time for emails was almost immediate. Within a couple of hours there'd be a reply. So I paid and placed the order. After paying the invoice, I emailed and asked if there's an ETA so far for when my order will be completed. No response. I followed up on my question by email every week or so. Up until there was a point when I realized there were no names in their signature in emails and there were no phone numbers on their website at all. Just the email address. Now, at this point it seemed like an online scam and I wasn't really sure. So I brought that up on my next email to them. They FINALLY email me back after this (3weeks after I paid) saying that the invoice mentioned a 4 week turnover period and they are not obligated to provide updates before then. They were quite offended I mentioned them sounding a lot like a scam, which I didn't say in a mean way. But I understand they thought it was an accusation. But if it takes that to give me a simple email back saying "eta 5 weeks as mentioned in the invoice" then I don't know what standard they are on for customer service. Okay. So 5-6 weeks pass and i haven't heard anything so I email again (mid august now) and I don't get a response. I follow up again a couple of days later and they say that one of the rings are complete and we are just waiting on the other one. So I give it a week and a bit and one of the rings show up at my doorsteps. No tracking number was ever given to me for this ring. Since I was happy (It is nice) I finally saw at least one of the rings, I didn't try to bug them about the other half of my order until I didn't get anything or any updates from them for the next 3 weeks. It was the middle of September so I emailed again asking about the rest of my order, to which I never got a response for. I followed up 2 more times after that and got nothing. That's when I started a new email chain with the invoice number asking for a response when they finally replied they said "We are just getting around to emails." " I will get in contact and follow up."
Okay. Guess what. I haven't heard anything since that email despite following up every week since then (September 24). Today is October 18, nearing 4 months after I ordered and paid and to this day I haven't received one of the rings (which would be fine if they kept me in the loop about the production/queue or if they said they're getting to it, etc). Even if the owners of that business reads this review, I doubt they'll understand from a customers point of view. They get defensive quickly and don't seem to try to understand what we think. If I get the other half of my order and an apology, then I will change my review.

UPDATE 12/04/2019:
I posted this review on Google Reviews after another user of this website suggested it. Not even 2 hours after I posted my review there, they message me through Instagram with this message:

"Hi. The owner just saw your review you left. We communicated with you that the men's ring was out of stock with the third party supplier or titanium. It's the only ring we outsource.

She is very disappointed in your review and we would be happy to continue working with you on your men's ring dilemma or exploring your options when you remove it."

I reply: "Hi,
The reply I got on email mentioned she will be following up with the third party supplier. I haven't heard back since, despite following up many times."

So they ignore me for months but when I bring it to the public's attention, they're suddenly willing to help resolve this, calling it MY dilemma? This business really frustrates me because I did offer to change the review if they'd just give me the product or the refund. They offered to give me a gold ring saying it costs more and is better for me but will take 5 weeks or so for it to be made but they wanted me to take the review down before they start production. Knowing how they are, I knew they'd just ignore me again. I also didn't care for a more expensive product. I just wanted my money back.
I told them that if they'd just give me a refund, then we can go our separate ways.
This is what they send me:
" Please send us a signed letter that you will remove the review and not repost/change to an appropriate review based on the woman's ring only once you've received either a refund or gold men's ring.
*******@gmail.com
We will refund you today."

They already frustrated me so much, I didn't reply to them as it is them who owes me money. I don't believe I need to write a letter to anyone to get my money back.
They followed up with me today, so I reply back: " Hi, just so you know, I'm not obligated to do anything for you. You are the one that owes me money. The longer you take to refund me the longer the review will stay the same. Keep in mind, I can put this conversation on the review at any time.
I already said I will change the review to your benefit as soon as you refund my credit card and let me know. You can use this conversation as proof."

I'm glad to say I finally got my refund after 6 months. (Although that money could've been invested to gain a interest for these 6 months). Hopefully this is the end of it all.

I never got an apology for any of this.

I worked with Honest Solitaire on a customized engagement ring, and it turned out beautifully! From start to finish, they were able to answer all of my questions about the process, production, and delivery of the ring. My (now) fiancee is in love with her engagement ring and receives compliments on a daily basis! I'm so happy to have gone with Honest Solitaire for our engagement ring!

I went thru the process of getting a custom engagement ring made with Honest Solitaire. I dealt with Mackenzie during all the steps. I couldn't believe how fast I would get a response. Sometimes I would email late at night and receive an answer right away. The ring came out absolutely perfect and they nailed every single spec ( there were a lot). Being a guy and not knowing a lot of details that go into making a ring, they made it so easy to understand and navigate through the steps. I would recommend Honest Solitaire to anybody out there looking for a ring!

I got the eterna band in 4mm G color. It arrived in about 3 weeks which was faster than they initially told me id have to wait. Overall my experience was really good. Their website and social media pages have improved a lot with videos and photos and more styles. If i didn't already have an engagement ring I so would have gotten the Majesty ring from there. Its so flipping pretty!

I had a custom design right made with 14k gold and E colored moissanite VVS clarity from Honest Solitaire. They're based in Calgary and have an office you can go to if you need although they don't actually sell rings from it, you can just make an appointment if you need to go in and get more ideas, info etc. I personally just emailed them my design and they quoted it in less than a day. Amazing experience, the ring is beautiful too and sparkles like n other even in dim lighting.

Tip for consumers:
Check their instagram for discount codes if you're buying something directly from their site.

Ordered an engagement ring and a matching wedding band. BEAUTIFUL! Very high quality work for an affordable price. Customer service is so responsive! I am so pleased with my purchase! Highly recommend.

From start to finish I had an amazing experience with Honest Solitaire, they are personable, very responsive, attentive to details, and their craftmenship is no less than any other big brands out there with more exposure.

I was extremely impressed by how the ring settingcame out, cut of stone and quality of their service was overall.
We had a very unusual issue with shipping companies that i wont site here. But the owner of Honest Solitaire was so diligent and her patience and communication made it all possible for me to receive my ring after many hurdles with the shipping company in question.

I highly recommend them for any ring you are looking for, engagement, fun/everyday wear rings, wedding bands, anything really.
I will definitely buy from them again in the future, please if you have any questions or want to see the final product i received which was a heart shape moissanite ring, i will be happy to share my pics or videos, *******@moonlovexs
