I have been with Hostica since registering my first domain with them in 2001. They consistently offer good value for money, excellent customer service and an almost unparralled "uptime". The very few times I have had queries or quetions, an email to Support or Billing bought forth a very swift resolution. Excellent value for money, Excellent customer service and the ability to "add on" to your domain as needed.
My on-file credit card expired but I cannot get connected to a representative. I have been "on hold" waiting for a chat representative for 90 minutes. Their site gives a phone number but when you call it you find out they no longer take phone calls. While waiting I logged into the back end in hopes of making the change myself and it shows I don't even have any services with them. I also cannot find my website. I am shocked and incredibly aggravated at this hostage situation.

I've been a customer since 2002 and up until recently, I've not had any problems with their support. However, something must have changed in their tech support department because their response is now non-existent. I've asked the same question several times for the last 5 days and have yet to receive a reply. It's a simple question, "do you perform automatic and periodic backups of websites that you host?"My website was hacked and basically completely destroyed and is no longer useable. If they don't have a backup copy it'll cost a few thousand dollars and 2 weeks to rebuild it from scratch. Obviously, if they do have a backup copy, it'll save a few thousand dollars and 2 weeks. Any website hosting company must put customer service at the top of their priority list. It's obvious that Hostica does not! Because of this, I would not recommend them at all! There are plenty of hosting sites that value their good customers but Hostica is not one of them. Stay away!
Most hosting services automatically lock your site, but not hostica.com. They do not warn you your account is not automatically locked down either! Also, the minute you sign on, the email you use through them is given out to web site developers who spam you relentlessly within the first day of signing on before you have a chance to configure and use it.

Hello Linda, I am sorry you had this experience. We are in the process of switching over to a new control panel, which may have caused some confusion. If you were able to log in to the new control panel where you would manage your domain, you would see you have no services. This is because your services are still in our old control panel which you are used to. We are not moving services, only domains. I will reach out to you for resolution.
