I love this site, the opportunities are awesome. It is, however, a little hard to get picked for a Vox Box which kind of sucks. But as long as you add all your social media and work at building it and your inflenster score you'll eventually get one. It's also important to stay active with the group and participate in any of the Twitter and Instagram parties they host.

I've been a member for a couple of years now. Getting products is not easy. You have to spend endless hours engaging with other users, submitting reviews, and completing surveys that they call "snaps" to potentially qualify for products. I've never received high end products; instead, I've gotten a few pharmacy brands. At this point, I haven't received anything in the past 3 years, but they still expect me to be active on my account. I emailed them to ask if there was anything wrong with my account or any limitations, but they said my account was in good standing and that I just didn't qualify for the products for whatever demographic reason. Long story short, with the amount of time you spend here you might as well get a job, get paid for it (which is guaranteed) and buy the stuff yourself.

I've gotten so many absolutely awesome products from Influenster for free in exchange for my real honest review! They aren't asking for lies, they simply want the truth! And I tell ut exactly as I see it and experience it, and have recieved such fantastic products! Look at the photos, those are from just the last couple of months!

Yes there collecting our data and know exactly what we do online. But that is where we signed up for. People think it's a Santa app and just apply and get lots of free products but they haven't read how it works. So they get mad because there not getting anything.
They don't read the terms and conditions. If you read it you know what you signed up for it's not a bad app.

Only they are growing to fast and making to many changes that's why it's a mess. I am disabled for a few years now and it is better then doing nothing. That's the reason i am a member of more similar websites and apps. But we don't have many in the Netherlands. To bad have of the people do it for free products and don't even know what a review is and what it can do to a product or company.
That when you give a product a one only because you don't like the color or the product or just write bad things because you had a bad experience then please stop and do something else. The brand pays a lot of money on this, and you could see the product works perfectly and I would buy it again but then in an other color. This is a little bit to bright for me but that is my personal opinion maybe you love this color then this is perfect for you.

Ever since I joined Influenster I fell in love with it more and more. I love reviewing, answering, asking, and receiving free samples. It's very easy to be apart of this community.

Being harassed on other social media sites by employees of the app, including attempts to dox, is a no in my book. That crosses multiple lines. If you have anything negative to say about your user experience, they will find you on other apps. It's creepy and a safety issue. It used to be a decent site. It's gotten unusable since the merger. Employee aggression against users was the last straw. Don't give your information to these people. It's not safe.

The free samples are fine. However, they offer cash back on some products, but rarely deliver on that. Only order a "cash back" product if you would buy it full price, because they probably won't be sending you the promised money back.

Scam. Don't waste your time. I spend thousands of $ at sephora a year & this app didn't send me even 1 product to try. Not very smart seeing as im always kind in reviews unlike the crazy amount of bad reviews people leave on sephora, after actually getting a box. They just want reviews on old stuff & not actually promote anything. Oh & now they want to manipulate people taking photo reviews. Showing you how they want product pictures to look professional. Yeah I'll do that, right now. If you want a few tampon join influenster! If you want luxury products forget it, not gonna happen even if you're a frigging Rouge that would actually buy it & not just leave a snarky review after getting it. F+ OH yeah and the drug dealers on there is insane just posting blatantly offering fentyl, pills even horse tranquilizers. Trash.

I love this app where you get to try out free products and share about them with all of your followers

I have been a member for about 4 years. At first, before they sold the company, I would get awesome VoxBoxes. From companies like Dior. But I haven't gotten one in@ least a year, despite busting my butt on that site doing reviews and snaps. It's all based on your number of followers now whereas before it wasn't. This is really unfair to those of us who have been loyal to them. My advice: Unless you have all day to spend on social media, don't bother trying to get a box from these people.

Very first time heard about this and wanna see how it will works have no idea what to do as a begginer

I see a lot of reviews of people not getting boxes and listing what they think the reasoning is and a lot of them are not true. I don't know how they select who gets what but I can say that I'm 43 years old, I joined Nov2020 and since then I've received over 23 boxes. Some boxes have one item some have multiple. I have received $65 ABH eye palette,$200 worth of makeup from Valentino, hundreds of dollars in amazing face care products, Biolage shampoo, conditioner and shine spray, redken hair care, hair dye, dog products, soups, deodorant, drugstore quality cosmetics, cold/allergy meds, Clorox wipes, oxiclean laundry stuff, coach perfume and the list goes on. Recently a lot of people received a Keurig machine and full box of cooking pans, electric yard tools, clothes, shoes, I've seen where people have gotten refrigerators that costed thousands…basically the opportunities are endless. Yes, u do have to do the reviews on the products u get for free, that a fair exchange for free quality products. But I DO NOT spend hours on the app doing random reviews or interacting with people. You do have to fill out ur personal profile so they know ur interests and you MUST do the surveys that come to ur email asking if u want to participate in a box campaign, that's how u sign up for specific items you are interested in testing. This is a great company that gives great products! Currently I have 3 active campaigns meaning I have gotten 3 boxes of products in the past month to review. It's definitely worth it!

Influenster is an app and website where people like you and me post reviews. Why post reviews besides genuinely liking to help people out? Like anything they ask a lot of questions just fill it out. They send you surveys based on your likes and dislikes. You fill out the surveys and you will either get a voxbox or not. Yes in the beginning its kinda a pain filling out all the snaps. But once you do it, it's done. Plus I have been with them for years. It's worth it. I'm a no body and have received high end brands like Dior. Helpful hint connect all your social accounts it helps your impact score. ( better chance of getting a voxbox. You never pay for shipping or anything totally free!

Influenster is a pack of liars. They tell you you're getting this great product, only to have it not show up. They're scumbags, their customer service absolutely sucks and they've left me embarrassed and upset. Avoid at all costs, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

I love Influenster! I've heard from friends who signed up and did surveys, filled out the voxbox forms and never received a product. I have no idea why that is and can only speak from my experience. I signed up one day bored and recently gotten into makeup. I left a bunch of reviews on makeup products I recently bought and within a few weeks got asked to fill out a survey for my first voxbox. Please note I had no followers or much engagement being on there and the social media linked is just average, I don't have a huge following. I got a full size Anastasia Beverly Hills foundation (which I already owned but love so had a backup). The checklist for reviewing products is easy, leave a review on the app and places like Sephora which I do anyway. After that I'd get a box of products every 2-3 months. Products have varied. I've gotten drugstore makeup/hair products, skincare, ranch dressing, full size designer perfume and most recently a $60 ABH face pallette that just launched. I love Influenster and I've been doing it for a couple years now. I definitely don't sit on there and review like I used to, honestly I don't leave reviews at all unless it's part of a product I received but I still get good items on a regular basis.

When I first signed up, I received Vox Boxes regularly. Good stuff -- pricey beauty products, even a car seat system. Fast forward 6 years, and now I get nothing, no matter what I do. I suspect that it's related to my social activity: either because I refuse to post on social (never have, and it was never a problem before) or because my following is small. It's a bummer, because I really enjoyed the site.

I joined this site because I was curious about what it is. I requested an invite and was accepted a few days later - I think it depends on whether or not your email is associated with social media accounts. I've never been one to not be blunt so I'll be blunt: it's a product pushing site disguised as a rewards community type of thing where your "popularity" and activity earns you better rewards. When you join, they assess your "influence" by your facebook, if you have a blog, twitter, youtube, etc. You get assigned a number and depending on that number you may qualify for "vox boxes," - sounds fun right? You get to try random products depending on the category which you can sign up to be an expert of - beauty, exercise, geek stuff, etc.

However, I think Influenster is less about trending and more about product pushing and brand marketing. By offering free stuff for their users, they ensure that bloggers and vloggers promote items like gel shoe inserts, hair ties (which I actually want to try) and toothpaste to their audiences. In essence, instead of marketing teams trying to find individuals to try and promote items - Influenster aggregates individuals on behalf of them and then the brands that are featured on Influenster let Influenster handle the distribution and representation. So who's really influencing whom? It's definitely less the users and more so the brands involved. Going back to the dSLR example, for people who've never been exposed to a dSLR - they might see the Canon rebel, look at the reviews and go out to buy one. Sure, google exists for the more knowledgeable buyer but for the people that don't want to wade through long product reviews and spec ratings - Influenster just might influence them with their selective branding.

You cannot add products or labels to their database to review (reviewing earns you more cred with your expert category and ups your overall score - giving you a better chance at being selected for a vox box). This is proof that it's really more about a pre-selected group of item (buy Xbox not PS, buy Canon not Nikon) and social media slowly trickling those brands to consumers. The only influence anyone has is what Influenster tells them to have - any indie, niche or non corporate labels/entities anyone has an interest in does not exist. That being said, if you love KRAFT MAC AND CHEESE, Neutrogena and Taco Bell you can review them to your heart's content (even shady one liners like "Great") and for your hard work, might as well get free samples.

This app is primarily for reviewing products you own or have used. You can view other's reviews and use that information to determine what products might work for you. Everyone complains that they sont get free stuff. Yes, we all want those expensive brands for free. But theres more that goes into it. You have to be active, link your social media, etc. I'm 44. I've gotten a box. I've never been hacked. If you dont do your profile and stay active, you limit your chances of getting a #voxbox. And no, the big influencers dont get first dibs and no, you can leave any review you want. I've left one star reviews for products I have purchased myself and used. You dont have to buy anything, they do have campaigns where you can buy something and submit your receipt for cashback for an honest review. But those are not common and they are limited to very specific items.

I have been with influenster for 4 years.weather you do your dailies or your a perfect match for the next test product does not matter.i have received 81 voxbox pre surveys since nov 2021 yet have not been picked for 1.but you see others getting 2 or 3 a month.it is all in the allgorithm they say.i say the allgarithm is prejudice.it should be based on weather you fit the product for testing.not were you live.how old you are or how much income you bring in.we are all here to give our honest opinions and influence and promote for future sales on the product.i think everyone should have a fair chance.but they don't

Is it because of my age that I don't ever win. I might be 52 years young but I could pass for 30. Just asking to give me a chance. Thanks Sherrie Mullaney

Bunch of games, stupid surveys. Amateur reviewers. A big waste of time better spent doing something else!
