We have our electricity provided through Just Energy and they have a great website that's easy to navigate and you can pay your bills online and even set up your service. We are on a steady payment plan where they give us a set rate each month to pay so there are no surprises. It's been very affordable for us and their customer service is very good and they are very friendly. If you're looking for a new electricity provider, pay a visit to their site and they might be able to save you some money. We've been with them for more than a year and we've been very happy with their service.

This place not only signed me up for their terrible service against my wishes. I told them not to go through with their little service signup. They set me back with my other company by 400 dollars! It took me three days to make my way back over to my other company and now I'm trying to figure out why I owe so much money. I understand why your company is rated so low. You guys are absolutely terrible in every aspect. And I hope your little employee Diego that came and gave me the survey thing gets fired because he screwed me over. You POS

Do not go with this energy. They are a scam. They offer you this free nights and weekends from 9 PM to 7 AM in the morning. If you don't use a lot of usage at night time don't choose it all they want to get is your money I went through an agency that helped me with a pledge on my account, but $1964 And the money left within five months because of this supposed to be savings on the free nights and weekends

We signed up in a Sam's Club, at their kisk. The rep was amazing, and was a customer, herself. I was impressed with her knowledge and presentation. The "free" nights was attractive. Unfortunately, the whole thing turned out to be one big, fat lie. We started doing our laundry and running the dishwasher and clothes washer/dryer at night, and we STILL ended up going from a $120.00 average to $359. I signed up with a different company, that day. I don't have a recommendation, at this point, for a better alternative, but Just Energy is attractive on the surface, but their pitch is absolute falsehood. I'll never purchase ANY service through a Sam's Club affiliation, again. Our energy habits ONLY changed to take advantage of the "benefit" of "free" usage times, and still tripled. The amount (number of kWh) for which they charged us is a number we have not EVER hit, with any other company. To go from averaging 1100 (ish) kWh per month to JustEnergy claiming we used 2000 in less than two months is an utter lie. Even the biggest consumer of electricity (Central Air Conditioning) wouldn't account for this. We have one of the most energy efficient models available. Our usage did not double, or even come close to increasing by this much. Sorry, but the bill is just wrong. Their online bill pay is worthless, too. Nothing on it works as it should.
We're done. We switched to another company the day the bill hit, and we'll never look back. Since the civil courts are stacked in their favor (all energy corporations), it's not worth the time or (pardon the pun) energy to try to fight this. It's easier to simply pay the last bill, and be done with anything affiliated with Sam's Club (as far as services) again. Goodbye, good luck, and good riddance to bad rubbish (JustEnergy).

Tip for consumers:
Stay away from services at kiosks in big box stores.

I would not recommend using Just Energy. From my experience their contracts are predatory. I ended up paying 2.5x the going rate for natural gas and ended up spending over $100/mo more than I would had I stayed with my standard provider. - Dr. D

I wish I could give them NO stars!
I signed up via comparepower.com for a rate of 10.9 per kwh on 1000. Ad states as all of their ads do "No hidden fees. The rates shown below already include all fees, discounts, and Oncor delivery charges."

I was charged for delivery. When I contacted the company, they simply sent my contract back. When I reached them via phone, they refused to credit the overcharges.

I complained to BBB at which point I was contacted by their rep. Who first said comparepower was a third party and they were not responsible for the content, then said that I misunderstood the ad. Again, he refused to credit the overcharges. He said they would be waiving the 175 cancellation fee. When I asked about my deposit, he said they keep it a year! What type of company does this?
