We're a multimedia learning center for individuals of all ages but mostly bums. - Quote Simpsons

There was a time long ago where books actually had a purpose and they were used. Now a days that's all changed. Due to the economic crises of the area libraries have a new twist on them and are mostly places to camp out all day. I feel for them but they have a whole wealth of knowledge at their finger tips to get them out of that situation but they choose not to use it. I'm actually afraid to step foot into several libraries now because they are day camps for individuals of all ages that call the building "home". I've not had comfortable pleasant experiences in libraries since the early 2000's. Customer service isn't anything special. The digital check out option does assist to keep you from waiting in long lines. Several of the classic books have been replaced with story books and picture how to guides that grant little to no educational value. When you ask for the classics most libraries will often say they were removed in the remodels done on library around 2015. Several libraries now are just tables with study rooms. Large meeting groups are allowed to occupy the bigger ones and trust me these rooms are not sound proof. Some of the smells coming from the library (mostly from clientele) are quite nauseating. I'm finding the smaller libraries actually have very few books if at all. (This paragraph mostly reviews the smaller libraries around King County.)

The larger libraries that are 2-3 stories and kept frequently up to date are amazing and often have decent content to browse through. The clientele are a little more closely monitored and removed if a threat to other clientele. The bigger libraries through out King County are amazing but the smaller ones seriously need a remodel and a few standards for clothing and hygiene enforced.
