I pay my car payment weekly you cannot set auto pay up for doing so which would be very convenient.it does give a week to week breakdown of payment of intrest and principal and only takes 2 days for draw from bank.
This sham of a company took 2 payments out of my account for March without my consent. I simply requested a due date change. They took the payment out of the original due date, then they took it again on the new due date, just 1 week later. Then was told it takes 16 days to a paper check refund. What? This company is a bunch of thieves. I will never deal with them again nor buy another Kia!

Unable to set up auto pay due to their company "not being able to find account." I have discussed with my bank who advised me to file a complaint with my bank so they can try to to figure out what Kia is doing wrong. Kia charged me a late fee AND a fee to use debit card to make my payment. This is our 5th (and last) Kia car and they have not had any problems previously pulling money out. My last conversation with customer service said they had to "escalate" my problem and the managers would call me back in the next day... one week... no word.
If you have any other way to finance your purchase I reccommend doing so. Clueless, rude, no understanding of customer service. Hours of my life I will not get back
Unhappy with service I received RE: payoff. Said total owed 232.04 Paid that then got late notice saying I owed more but was unable to see online or on phone I was told I couldnt see because my contract was up. Then they charged me an $8.00 fee as I paid it on phone? If I couldnt pay online why be penalized for paying on phone And why not put right total that was owed Very disappointed This will be my last Kia

This finance company is not open on weekends and does not make it an easy job to get your payoff amount when you traded your vehicle in. I had to call numerous times and even ask for a supervisor because the Rep would not give me what I needed. The rep then put me on a long hold.
I'm always impressed with the customer service\. I love my Kia! I'm still in my lease so I'm a little nervous as to what will happen when it's over.
I've been with them for a few years… but I recently changed accounts to keep my payments up…. I've been on the phone the last few weeks to make the payment this past month… every representative that I have spoke to could not speak clear English! This is the worst few weeks of my life…. Hope I don't this have to deal with every single month….
Kia Finance has been a nightmare. "customer service" hangs up after you've waited hours on hold, days in a row. When they finally answer and don't initially hang-up, they transfer your calls to 5 different departments then hang up again, but not before you answer the same questions you answered with the last 4 representatives and not before you give a run down of what you're calling about just like you did with the last 4 reps, only to be told they can't answer the question you didn'task.
They DO NOT listen to your needs, even after you repeat them 5 different ways. They refuse to actually hear what you're saying.
Their site won't allow me to make payments on my 2 Kias after I've been leasing & making payments online for 8-yrs. Instead of attempting to correct the issue they charge me $7 × 2 to make phone payments. Now I have to do it again this month bc their online payment feature is not working for me still. There is no person you can talk to that doesn't have a super thick accent that is very difficult to understand when the connection is always fuzzy due to what I assume is because they transferr their calls to another country. Fuzzy connection or thick accent, pick one, not both because both make accomplishing anything nearly impossible.
At one point they falsley claimed I didn't make my final payments on my first leased Kia's but the cars were traded in one month early so no there were no payments due on those cars. The false claim prevented me from buying a house that year, literally. No preapproval until the mark was removed from my credit. It took me a year to get it off credit with VERY little help from Kia Finance. A year of fighting. All that time and energy towards something that never was. No apology no compensation. Nothing but headaches.
Another time they charged me a dollar more per payment than agreed upon with the dealership but they did it at a time that was last minute and I couldn't do anything about it unless I wanted to be without a leased car until it got solved.
The last two payments I made over the phone I had extra fees listed...I had to pay $24 extra, per car, but no one could tell why but they could tell me that if I didn't make payment in full, mystery fees included, my accounts would be considered past due & reported.
My car was totaled out in September 1922. Kia told me I need to continue to make my payments until the insurance company settled with them. Insurance company continued to send them payments for settlement and for whatever reason it wasn't good enough. So I ended up making my payments for 10 months. In July 2023 Kia finally told me to quit making payments. So once they settled with my insurance company which was in September 2023. They reimbursed me for six of my payments. They have given me the runaround since then about the other payments they owe. I've talked to supervisor after supervisor. They sent emails to the supervisors. They sent it to escalation a dozen times. I need to know who I can get a hold of above a supervisor. I would never deal with this company again. It has been an absolute nightmare.

For seven months I have tried numerous ways password-protected portals emails scans faxes calling almost every day escalation team supervisors it doesn't matter I have had the hardest time with Kia finance my registration has lapsed I am going to get another temporary my second one I am frustrated quite literally the fourth time I went to the DMV when my paperwork was supposed to be there it was there The certificate of state transfer without a Vin number the women at the DMV have never seen that in their working history there I was the first one I want to start a class action lawsuit I want to get lawyers involved this is absolutely ridiculous and I know I'm not the only one
Trying to deal with Kia finance going through some problems with the auto strike going on. They're not helpful at all. They keep going back to they understand that. It's a tough time in the auto industry right now. But they keep just wanting their money. So tell your friends tell everybody. Do not go with Kia finance, Canada.
Here the thing: Why is there so much that the paying customer has to do to insure that these guys have the right info?
I lease a KIA in 2017. No issues. Loved the care.
Then we lease a new 2020 Kia and administratively, things started to get confusing. I returned the first lease, and the payment was still do on for that month - even though I didn't have the care anymore. Gpt that squared away, and then we leased a 2023.
Aye curumba what a fiasco.
Lease ended in June so we went to the dealership and opted to lease a new vehicle. Wasn't available until August so we had to extend out lease 3 months. Here's the thing: I had to do the administrative work - not the dealership. I had to explain that why Kia couldn't provide me a new vehicle in June.
Next came the plethora of emails & letters about my end of lease options. Then - after I got my new vehicle in August - threatening letters of exercising my end of lease options - even though I had turned in my vehicle and made my first payment on my new vehicle.
Today - literally on this date - I went to make my payment on my new car and was greeted with pop ups about my end of lease options on my last vehicle.
Maybe some of this is the dealer, but I'd like to think I'm owed some compensation for all the bookkeeping and administrative work I've been doing. I mean, I still owe my last payment to them according to my credit karma page.
Just very frustrating.
Love the new Kia, but the process is almost not worth the car.
Bought a 2022 telluride after I test drove it however the one I drove was not the 1 they gave me it was to be a lx model to find out its a sx model the one I drove had a power lift gate the 1 they gave me had manually had power seat and heat the one I got had manually the price was to be 38k but then a 10k dealer fee plus extended warranty package 4.99 fin brought the car to 68k what a ripoff
Literally the worst finance company I've ever dealt with. Would give 0 starts if I could. From customer service to financing, terrible. No one knows anything, they lose payments, your told a million different things, account notes and phone calls lost, not helpful in any way, received two statements in a year and a half and both were incorrect, put other people's car and card info on my account, lie, etc. DO NOT USE THEM
Kia Finance only allows you to pay online(free) or by automated system(3.95) both use your bank routing and no debit card. You then risk an unexpected payment or forgetting because it takes several days to come out. So then what happens? You're only allowed to pay with a live customer service call where you can use a debit card and come out automatically(7.95 fee for 3 months) they rip you off big time. I suggest mailing them a money order and then NEVER using them to finance your vehicle again!
KIA has not paid off my trade in for over 6 weeks. Finance person named Ron Iqbal does not return phone calls. Left 6 messages with sales staff. Cannot leave him a message as his voice mail is always full. Once the sale is done, Northstar KIA is obviously done with you. Go elsewhere. I will NEVER be a KIA customer again because of this post lease problem that could have been easily resolved with one call. Or simply a call to me saying he will check and call back.
I've been working to get Kia to send my title to my state for a state to state transfer for the last nine weeks and are no further than when we started. Now my paper plates have expired and my state will not grant an extension unless Kia sends a faced letter stating that they are working on it. Kia absolutely refuses to send a letter. Many called to Kia and every time they change their story. Their customer service is worthless and they don't care about their customers!
My bank sent a lease payoff with all the paperwork and Kia has still yet to process 11 days later. Now they are harassing me for a monthly payment even though they can see the amount of the payoff in their system. Just awful!
Tip for consumers:
Avoid if possible.
I bought a new Kia right before the pandemic hit. I went in for a used Kia or at the most a new one without a bunch of bells and whistles, and felt like I was pressured into getting a new car and the guy ended up selling me a brand new GT-Line Kia Soul. I was making $12 an hour at the time working full-time. How I even got approved for a loan for a $20,000+ loan is beyond me, but being dumb and overly excited I accepted because I knew I'd be getting a raise within the next few weeks. I then lost my job instead, due to the pandemic. I reached out multiple times via messages to Kia about my situation and asked for payment deferral and no one ever got back to me. I had made about 4-5 payments in full and on time from the beginning of the loan. After I was 2 days late on my payment they called me incessantly, 3 even 4 times a day. When I'd speak to them they almost demanded payment. They'd pressure me into asking my friends and family for money to make my payment. Guess what? It's a pandemic and everyone is kind of messed up financially right now. I ended up having to file bankruptcy so thankfully the harassing calls have stopped. I'm surrendering the vehicle and I am so happy to be rid of KMF. I'm grateful they haven't repossessed my vehicle yet because I need it right now, but I am ready to give it back at the same time. They need to stop approving people that can barely afford their payments, it's ridiculous.
There should be a zero star rating for this Finance company. Mailed out state to state transfer and check twice and they still haven't received it. I need to send it a third time. You always have to reach out to them, they will not communicate anything back othherwise and will tell you that. Kia Finance only has one conversation on file for the last nearly three months. 10 days to receive a letter from them and I quote "four business days to receive an email." Completely unexceptable, Coming up on three months now. Stay away and save yourself grief and pain.
Was told i would have all payments for car taken out of my auto pay and then found out my property tax was not eligible after confirming with representative that it would be. Dropped from over 800 credit rating down to 745. From everything I have read from different sites these people are lost. Disgraceful and not willing to change after I immediately paid when contacted. Terrible customer service.
If I could give them zero stars, I would customer service will hang up on you when you asked to speak to a supervisor. Supervisors have a worse attitude and customer service reps.
They miss appropriate payments that you requested to be made towards Principal and then have no excuse why your balance doesnt reflect it. Also additional hidden fees that they can explain.

I never going to lease again from KIA or Hyundai. My car was total loss, If i want to buy pay off was $******* but insurance offered $*******. Kia wants to keep all $*******. So now i have to buy another vehicle for $******* over sticker. I spoke to ford and Toyota. They said they always return the difference back to the register owner. Kia and Hyundai steals from customers! Never do business with them again!
Tip for consumers:
They steal from total loss settlement.

Dysfunctional billing leads to awful awful service and creates problems for your credit score which they will not take responsibility for. They simply don't care about their customers at all. Their inefficiencies cost me hours of time and money.
