Kindredheathcare

After 7 weeks of my mother being in Kindred West Orange NJ she was given the green light to be transferred out to a specialized rehab center for PT. Upon entry to the new place my mother was immedilately rushed to the ER for a severe trachea bleed and bleeding in her throat. After a few days of testing the hospital stated "your mother has issues with most every organ in her body" with multiple infections that Kindred was suppose to take care of, open bleeding wounds on both arms, severe muscle atrophy, borderline dangeriously low hemoglobin counts, white blood cells were 3 times as high as they should have been and a UTI infection. Had she not been brought to the ER that day she would have died. Please note that my mother had NONE of these issues before being admitted to Kindred. We begged the doctors to send her for a reevaluation an testing and flat out said no she is fine! I condemn the actions and lack of medical attention my mother needed. Kindred was and is only interested in billable services and doing as little as then have to for the patient. Going there with health insurance and they see $$$ and profit. By neglecting my mother they are liables and respondsible and will be help accountable for there actions/ lack there of. I looked up at the lights in the ceiling above my mothers bed and there were five dead horse flies sitting on the lens of the light fixture. This is not very hygienic in my mind for a health care facility. Everything there is 30 years old, wooden beds, no computers (they write everything by hand) and nobody else can read it. Ask a questions, you will get "we will get back to you" that person is off today or that person is on vacation? Are you kidding me? I want to know what my mothers white blood cell count is and you say you don't know and that you can get me that info tomorrow? I could go on and on but whats the point. I am glad that she is out of there and has ten different specialists working on her at the hospital trying to control the bleeding, infections, open wounds... Do your research before sending a loved one anywhere for heath care, my mother could not speak due to a trachea to help her breath so she could not communicate her feelings and problems to us. Shame on you Kindred and you will be hearing from the biggest and baddest PI lawyer that I can find and hire, its time that you are held accountable for your actions and nearly killing/ letting my mother die over the course of 7 weeks...
