Beware of web sites advertising local services, and having tool free phone number, and no postal address. I was searching the web for a local garage door repair shop, Got across kinggaragedoors247.com It was saying: Your local garage repair service since 1998. Called the toll free number. They sent somebody utterly inexperienced and unprofessional. I needed a minor repair but the guy ruined the opener by taking it apart and breaking. All he could do is to install a new opener which is all he was trained and capable.

I was in a hurry in the morning and did not check the reviews carefully. I thought I payed higher than average price for replacing a garage door opener, but the product I got was even not the one we talked about. I found out this after the guy left. Not mention that the whole process was very unprofessional. There is no formal receipt, no manual, no warranty card. The only thing I can do now is to cross my fingers and hope the new garage door opener work to the age it is supposed to be. I was even blamed for miscommunication. How could! I know I will never call that number again.
Tip for consumers:
Do not believe advertisers review. Ask for a written quote for brand, model , accessories, labor.
The guy is not professionals, he is so rule and bad. Why I have to deal with this? Please, what ever you do, stay away from the guy name Mike and his phone number is *******646
My garage door got stuck so I came across this company on Google and called them. A young guy in a t-shirt and a blue tooth shows up in a minivan (not in a service truck) and said that he was sent to repair the garage door. My first impression was that he is not a professional but yet wanted to try him. He looks at the garage door and starts complaining about it and telling me what all is wrong with it and finally tells me that he had to open up the whole garage door and it would cost $450 to repair that. I was shocked at that price and tried to reason with him why the quote is so high for such a simple repair job. Then immediately, he asked me to pay the $29 visitation fee that too in cash. Then I realized that was his intention from the beginning. Even though I didn't feel it right, I agreed to pay that via check just to get him off my property. He declined that and insisted that I pay by cash, which I didn't want to do as I wanted to keep a proof of payment. I finally offered him to pay via credit card, then he asked me to give my credit card so that he can note down all the details of the card and process it later, which I did not agree to. After some time, he talked to his supervisor in a middle eastern language and agreed to take the check. These guys are not professionals, stay away from them.
Later, I got it repaired by another company I found on YELP with good reviews for $78.00. See how much they wanted to rip me off
STAY AWAY from this company! Absolutely unprofessional, they refuse to give you a price quote for a simple spring replacement over the phone. I called several other repair companies and everyone gave an exact quote right over the phone. The guy showed up at my door and quoted you an absolutely ridiculous price; 3 times higher than every other estimate; when I told him his price was ridiculous, he demanded that i pay him a $29 charge for coming over. I refused to pay it because all i wanted was a quote, which he could have easily given over the phone. After some bickering, he agreed to replace my springs for $230 total; much lower than the original $500 he wanted in the beginning. They are not in the business of fixing garage doors, they are in the business for making the $29 service charges for coming over and doing nothing. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!
Tip for consumers:
STAY AWAY!! Call someone who will give you a quote over the phone, or give you a free estimate. This company's policy is to give you ridiculous quotes in person, and then demand a $29 service fee for coming over and doing nothing.
