“As good as they advertise!”

We have a 7 yr, very nervous Sheppard/Rottie. The staff put me at ease, ensuring that after 15 mins, if it did not work, they would stop without charging. After 30 mins, they allowed us to quietly check and she was in her back, relaxing as they were rubbing her face. It cost us probably 10% of what the vet would have charged, with very little stress for our Smudge. Her teeth were white and looked amazing. Please go, they are amazing

Maya is a vet tech who cleans pets' teeth out of her home. She appears to do a great job (as seen by the photo). The pet is awake during the process, so she obviously does *not* go below the gumline (which of course shouldn't be done without general anesthetic). My pets returned to me happy, relaxed, and comfortable. She keeps in touch during the cleaning process and provided me with a video of my pet undergoing treatment; he felt no discomfort or pain. She's also *very* reasonably priced, charging for two cats much less than what a vet charges for one. The problem is that she either does not see or does not report gum disease and/or teeth problems. Being that she is a vet tech, I suspect the latter. My beloved cat, with her clean teeth as seen in the photos, needed such extensive dental work less than a year later that we were forced to put her to sleep for lack of funds due to the extent of the problems. I asked Maya via email why she didn't see any problems, or if she did, why she didn't notify us: She did not respond. To me, that speaks volumes. -- My vet clinic's manager told me beforehand that such a job wouldn't substitute for a vet cleaning. I thought the vet was simply trying to rip me off because their charges are outrageous, but they were absolutely right. -- If you do go to Maya, be sure that you can still attend a vet for regular dental check-ups, because despite what appears to be a great job, she's no substitute for a vet, which is unfortunate because the price is so good.

I left comments on KissableK9's Instagram page questioning the ethical nature of the cosmetic "cleaning" that were promptly deleted. I am a dental hygienist- cleaning the tartar above the gum line is what they do. Just like at your cleanings, there is a ton of tartar underneath as well. Not removing this tartar may result in infections, tooth decay, tooth loss and heart disease. The page owner reported back that they "hire dental hygienists" and told me "if you ever want a job let us know". It does not matter who is removing the tartar as the detrimental subgingival deposits will still remain- clinical trials and studies have proven this over and over again. Please ask your vet before considering this practice!

I just picked up my dog from the Haliburton mobile clinic and couldn't be happier! Agnes' teeth are so clean and she was not distressed in the least. What a difference this procedure has made.

Tip for consumers:
Not a substitute for a vet cleaning.

Got the last appointment in Stittsville. 100% awsome for my anxiety dog. So impressed.!
Beyond what I expected. Vacationing Ontario, from PEI. Vet cleaning in PEi very expensive. My pup had severe pancreatitis and I don't want to put him under anesthesia.

I had such an amazing experience with Kissable K9 in Montreal (November 2023). I met the owners who are so caring and knowledgeable. My dog has a neurological condition preventing us from using anesthesia without risking her health. The vets have been less than helpful at ensuring my dog's continued quality of life. The vet recommends waiting until her teeth worsen and a full dental with anesthesia is required for extractions. Kissable K9's teeth cleaning and polishing is the best preventative intervention for my dog's dental health which will have a direct positive impact on her quality and longevity of life. The cleaning took less than 20 minutes, and my dog was so calm afterwards. Amazing approach to animal healthcare from amazing people who care about the work they do, and about your understanding of your dog's health! I will continue to shout from the rooftops and recommend this service to EVERYONE!

Tip for consumers:
Full refund is issued if the service cannot be completed, but to my knowledge this is super rare!!
