“Best Dentist!”

Crystal H.
9/1/23

Great experience at Landmark Dental. Dr K is one of the best dentist that's ever worked on my teeth. Ever since I moved from another dental office to Landmark my teeth have felt great! I use to have so many problems with my previous dentist, but Dr K has fixed these Issues. Also, he has given me great tips on maintaining great dental hygiene. I would recommend this office to everyone!

“Poor Work, Kevin Parekh, DMD”

Landmark D.
5/3/21

Kevin Parekh, DMD of Landmark Dental care that is located at 611 E. Burgess Road in Pensacola Florida does poor dental work. Then when asked to make things right the patient is met with denial, attitude and arrogance. Kevin Parekh DMD of Landmark Dental treats people as if they are trash and then attempts to walk away in an arrogant fashion when you question him about his unprofessional behavior. The staff there are also the same and treat people with contempt, they are nice to you so long as you don't question their work they did on you or tell them they did anything wrong. If you ask them to correct anything they did wrong their true selves come out and you will be met with hostility and you will see them for what they really are, which in my opinion are trashy people who put on a fake smile in order to extract as much money from patients who go in there. Then they keep the façade going until you start questioning their poor work then they will flip on you real quick. A bunch of fake people with attitude problems. I should have known better than to trust such people when I saw the office that has old filthy décor, outdated primitive equipment and creaky stairs that you can hear when someone is walking up and down. Instead I gave Kevin Parekh and Landmark Dental in Pensacola the benefit of doubt and tried to overlook their shortcomings. They claimed at the beginning of the visit the price would be one thing then it ended up more, but I let that slide due to wanting to give the benefit of doubt and wanting the dentist to do the right thing. (Never happened, in my opinion they have poor ethics). It was quickly apparent that they also are not knowledgeable about updated dentistry or techniques. Their equipment is outdated and looks like they got it second hand. The lobby is musty and looks dusty. Cheap plastic chairs and overall just looks like it's all outdated, which matches their knowledge of dentistry. Do yourself or your loved ones a favor and find a better dentist who isn't arrogant and childish and who knows about modern dentistry. Go to a real professional and get your teeth fixed right the first time. Kevin Parekh DMD of Landmark dental will probably deny some or all of this, he can deny it all he wants, I would respect him a little if he admitted to his insolence and apologized for it, but from what I can tell he is too arrogant to even consider that he treated patients as he did, so he can shamelessly deny all he wants if that's what he chooses. It doesn't make what he did right and he knows it, his or his staff's denial doesn't negate the facts of what took place.

Tip for consumers:
Find a modern dentst, this practice is primitive and will cost you your dental health in the long run.

Other review tries to negate the other persons review that this dentist is out for money by leaning on this dentist being a veteran and doing dental clinic for veterans.

Seems Landmark Dental just uses the free dental clinic for veterans as a Public Relations stunt and to write it off at the end of the year. If you think they do it out of the kindness of their hearts then there is a real estate agent somewhere that will sell you an ocean front home in the Sonoran Desert.

I am a veteran myself so I like giving business to fellow veterans when possible and I don't necessarily make it known to the business I am a veteran unless asked because I dont want to be treated any special way. I can admit that I fell for that whole "he's a veteran" shtick. I am not disputing his status as a veteran, but I am disputing his honesty as one. I can tell you I had a bad experience with this dental practice. I saw some bad reviews and didn't pay them any mind. Boy, did I regret not paying more attention to them. Its a real shame too when I see a veteran acting in this manner. It reflects badly on good servicemen and women.

I ended up with a dental issue worse than I had before I visited Landmark Dental and thankfully I was referred by a buddy of mine to a real experienced dentist who ended up fixing my issue after 2 visits. All I can do is speak from my experience as a veteran and I would not go there again. You can do as you like and go there if you wish. What I am saying is you need to be careful who you trust because there are people who hide behind their veteran status in order to hide their greed and get others to patronize their business and as a veteran myself I find that reprehensible.

I came in for dental care in 2020 and 2021 with insurance and paid my copays the same day I had work done. I loved the care I received from Dr. Kevin and his hygienists. However, I have a serious issue with their financial person, Dee. It is now 2022 and I called on 06/13/22 to schedule a teeth whitening for my upcoming wedding and was informed my insurance wasn't working and I owed them over $2,000 for prior work. I immediately called my insurance and was told that this dental office never submitted a claim as my last claim was in 2016 with my old dentist. My insurance shows me all the claims submitted whether approved or not and there was never a claim submitted in 2020 or 2021. I never received a call or any mail about this issue. My phone number on file has continued to be my current contact information and my address just recently changed in December of 2021. No letters, no calls at all from 2020 up until 06/13/2022 when I called to make an appointment. Since then, I have called numerous times to check on the status and am always promised a call back but have yet to receive one. I called 06/13/22,06/21/2022, 06/29/22,08/08/22, and today 08/10/22. I have yet to receive any correspondence regarding this issue and am extremely disappointed with their financial worker Dee. When I called today, I was told she is only one person. While I understand that, she has had over 2 years to reach out to me for this issue and over 2 months of calls from me begging her to fix her mistake and file my claims. I loved this office and used to rave about it to all of my friends. Some of which actually use the dental office because of me. Now I will be warning everyone about them instead as this has caused me undue stress and anxiety for no fault of my own. It is ridiculous that I have called over a 2 month period and cannot get a straight answer or any assistance whatsoever. Additionally, I just checked again with my dental insurance and no claims have been submitted to date by Landmark.

This dentist is an expert at pulling teeth. That is NOT dentistry that is just tooth pulling. They are no good at actual dental work. Had a crown done here and it was a total disaster. Went to another dentist who looked at it and was ashamed for his profession and asked me what dentist did it. I didnt tell him, but he was stunned at the poor quality.

The other dentist fixed it and everything is fine now only because I felt something wrong. Otherwise this dentist would have never mentioned it until it was time to pull teeth, which seems like that is all they do. They don't know how to do much else. I think its because they rely heavily on Medicaid so they churn people out as fast as possible to pile up the income.

Tip for consumers:
Do not use this dentist if you value your health. They use assembly line type dentistry and deal with mainly Medicaid patients so their solution for everything is to pull teeth.

Last year Landmark dental held a Free Dental clinic for Veterans. I took a friend to the appointment and when I was there I happened to mention that I have a broken wisdom tooth and that it was too bad I wasn't a veteran. To my surprise they told me to go in so they could take a look and they pulled the tooth right then and there for free!
The property seemed well maintained and clean (I wouldn't have let them work on me if it wasn't) and they were fast and efficient. Half an hour after walking in the door that pesky tooth was gone. I would recommend Landmark Dental to everyone and in fact I have and they had a good experience also.
I also like that Kevin is a Navy Veteran himself.
Just a short talk with him and you will see that he is a nice professional man whose calm manner eases the stress of getting dental work done.
I don't often need dental work but Landmark Dental has my business for life!
