This site is really good. Ive been a member for a while and most of the girls there are genuine and honest. Of course there will always be scammers, but if you ask for some FB details or skype, you will quickly find out. Ive met some of the girls, even fell in love a couple of times. Of course this site cannot guarantee success on the relationship, but meeting new people wont be a problem. I give this site five stars.
I am looking for total chemistry and that certain spark with a woman who has great qualities and substance to share my life with. I'm far from perfect and not looking for the perfect woman, since she doesn't exist. Just looking for my best friend and lover - the woman who's right for me!

Tip for consumers:
I'm an easy going person that feels everything in life has its purpose. I believe that we should treat others good the way we treat ourselves good
Well I just stuck my profile up without paying... Two weeks now.
I'm having more attention than Leonardo di Caprio at a hen night!
These 'girls are amazing and they are all sending me virtual kisses.
Unfortunately I need to pay to speak to them!
Then... what are the odds they vanish?
Keep your bank details close to your chest guys.
If you don't recieve that kind of attention in every day life, why would you think it would be different on the Web... maybe in the short term... If it has anything to do with money.
Good luck.
Prolific scammers and fake profiles. Pretending to be from USA but had to move back to Ghana and fake pictures or people. I believe there are some genuine people on the site but I think that it is filled with liars and scam artists. Just be alert for people that contact you and then request to go off site to chat or yahoo or email. If they are very flirtatious and flatter you, ask what you do for a living and if you live alone - run a a mile. I think the site is very proactive in removing fake profiles if you report them.
Tip for consumers:
Do not share your private information. People with email addresses on their profiles or pasted across their photographs are typically fraudsters. Be aware of the modelling photos, or catalogue photos, really young attractive people that you would be surprised would be interested in you, young people with an age range right up to 60 and beyond, for example, they are 30 and they put their range up to 89 yrs, people who say that age is no barrier to love etc. etc. If it seems too good to be true
This sites has alot of fake profiles and it is crawling with scammers waiting for you to slip up. Most of them are not even in the same state or country. If you are patient and careful, it may be worth it.
There are just way too many fake accounts used to draw people into a paying membership for the website.
I terminated a 6 month contract at 3 months because they wouldn't remove a Member, who used my email address to put me with UADreams. How do I know? The first email from them was a full-page ad for her that would have required I sign up. I am having a lot of trouble getting rid of the UADreams spam. UADreams is definitely a crooked site, and it appears Lavaplace is allied with them.
1 Good point; I've met 3 very genuine and nice ladies from this site.
2 You have to be VERY careful: if you join here. For example, never give out your e-mail address or IM id too quickly. Many scammers want to go to IM or e-mail immediately on trivial excuses, such as, "I won't be on this site long," the reason being that they know the site owners are going to kick them off. Most profiles are free, so there is no reason for a woman to leave the site quickly.
3 The site owners don't give a bugger about you! They usually don't answer e-mail. They allow scammers kicked off today to come back on tomorrow. There is no moderation of profiles when they come on, so scammers are back sometimes the same day as they are kicked off! For example, I complained yesterday that a photo of the same girl appeared on 2 different profiles and that both profiles were on-line at the same time. In other words two different people are using the same girl's photos. Today the same girl's photos appears on 4 different profiles, all on-line at the same time!
It's a shame, because there are some, but not many, genuine people on this site.
I have wondered if the site owners are part of the scams, as there seems to be no other good reason why they should upset their paying customers.
So be very wary...
Watch out for Scammers from this site... many overseas girls are only to take your money and promise hollow interests in men! Total BS... most are out for the money!
The worst of the worst, DO NOT join as I did and found out how bad it is. I believe Lavaplace endorses the scammers. I couldn't figure out how they can get a member number then contact you with their bogus claims. If you tried a search with the member number it would always come up as showing no member exist. Somehow they are hiding behind the scenes. Stay away from USA addresses as they seem to always use it as their home address. Once you reply to them its the same old story, hard times, moved to Ghana, need help. Many of those pictures they send to you can be seen on the scammers web site. I have challenged many of them and they call me names then block me off from them. They cant stand being caught. Ive reported them to no avail. Many have numerous memberships working this site full time.

This is a bogus dating web site where the profiles are as fake as a 3 dollar bill. Example: Profiles and Pics appear and disappear from day to day. There is a profile up today 8/10/11 name is jurgitele8, supposedly its a lady that is 34 years old, a high school grad. I am a: 34-year-old woman with 3 kids. The crazy thing is, the picture is a sweet little girl not a day over 8 to 10 years old. I have pasted the data, I pasted the pic.
My warning, Don't pay a nickle to join this site, it's a fake.

Scam and sham. This site fits these words perfectly well. There are several scam issues with the site
1. Many Fakes profiles (here is a story from the reviewcentre.com)

"When I moved to a new country I naturally wanted to get out there and meet people. Aside from going to the bars and clubs I thought I'd try a dating website, and this was one of the first ones that came up on Google. Even though the design of the site is pretty dated, I thought that since it was only about 14-15 euros I'd try it out. Let me save you some money - don't bother signing up. I admit that there are SOME real people on this site, but the majority (I'd say at least 80%) of people contacting me (usually sending "virtual kisses") are clearly fake profiles. How can I tell? Well, firstly someone copies and pastes a very similar text for all the profiles, and if you do a Google image search, you'll find that the pictures are taken from some girls's Myspace page or Flickr. Like I said, I have been chatting with a few real people, but I'd advise you to save your money."
2. Scammers like Nigerian Scammers (Here is a story from the thedatingdope.com)

"Lava Place is very overrated! I took out a full paid membership for a month to see what "luck" I got. Indeed, I did get a few responses here and there — mainly from web cam girls trying to rip me off after a period of grooming. In addition, I received two responses for a plea of help (after a period of emailing back and forth) from 2 beauties (both Caucasians) who turned out to be dodgy Nigerians on the look out for mugs like me. COME ON! Think! Such gorgeous women — do they REALLY need LavaPlace? I doubt it somehow!"
3. Money seeking contacts and contacts who do not have sound minds (Here is a story also from the thedatingdope.com)

"Like all other sites Lavaplace has its fair share of bogus profiles, confused people and photos that don't really tell the true story. You have to go through a lot of crap to find one nugget. I meet two woman recently who I think are bit mad and needs to be treated – perhaps being kind to them they may be autistic. They were both Russian and high maintenance and in public were very loud and over animated. They expect you to pay for everything as if they are coming as your mistress and yet want equality, respect, high quality men and your coat to be thrown on the puddle for them to walk over. Just be careful of these economically motivated people."
In addition the site sends out letters to people namely men on the site and the actual ladies themselves are not sending their own letters. These letters are called mailshot letters (practiced also by anastasiadate.com) and are done to entice or seduce men to keep paying their money on the site which may just end up being wasted. This site lavaplace.com needs to lose its business so that it never ever operates again.
