You wrote a review for Le Tote A moment ago 5.0 star rating 1/30/2018 As a young professional, there is no better solution to having a well put together look than Le Tote. I started using Le Tote 6 months ago and have been loving it! I love that I get to pick exactly what I want in my box (unlike stitch fix) and I am always impressed with the quality of the items I receive. It's great for everyday business casual wear, special occasions like weddings, birthdays and more! I have had minor things, like an item being left out of a shipment, but their customer service (via email or phone) is always quick to respond, empathetic, and goes above and beyond to solve my problem. I have gotten a couple of friends to do Le Tote as well and we are all hooked! I don't know how I lived my life before Le Tote.

It is literally IMPOSSIBLE to cancel. They will send a new tote without warning and bill your credit card, even after you repeatedly attempt to end the relationship. They only allow you to stall the subscription for two months and then sneakily start it back up without your knowledge.

Tip for consumers:
It would have been good to know about their cancellation policy. The clothes were fine. The site was mediocre. Customer service was shady. I hate companies that keep taking your money and sneakily keep you from cancelling. If your product is good value, you don’t have to trick customers into remaining subscribers.

I have reached out to Le Tote via email, "live" chat and phone (constantly busy) to cancel my membership with no response and continuing to charge my card. I have had to work with my credit card company to block the charge.

There is clearly a bad change in the company as I used to get my totes on a timely basis and last one took 3 weeks. Plus staff used to be responsive.

Make sure you read the fine print on all of their policies, as they are very strict and in favor of the business (obviously) not the customer. If you make a purchase, it is likely because it is on sale, which means there is no return options. If you do purchase something that can be returned, then you need to return it within 30 days of buying it, NOT receiving it (as they cannot commit to when this will happen and could take weeks). Then even once you have a successful return and have followed all their rules, they will still keep your money but you can have a credit that, again, can only be used for specific things.

Not worth your time or money.

I am very happy with all my selections (adding your desired styles to your "closet" within your login). I literally have hundreds of "favorites" in my closet and have invested many hours to get my online "closet" in order. THE HUGE PROBLEM is that when I go to select/order/get a new Tote on the way, none of my favorites are available for delivery. All they say when I call is, oops sorry, we are trying to get more inventory.

The majority of fabrics used is poly/nylon. There are some nice pieces of costume jewelry, but after I signed up, they started only allowing one set per month. When 3 of 4 articles don't work, then you end up renting a piece of clothing for 30 which you could have bought 4 pieces for the same price. It is no longer worth the price.

I don't usually leave reviews but this experience made me feel like I owed it to anyone else looking for a maternity subscription service. I accidentally purchased four maternity items in early May 2023 thinking that I was selecting my items for my box. I had used Le Tote in the past and it was intuitive and easy to use then so when I mistakenly purchased 4 items totaling about $270 I was upset. I had no way of creating my tote after paying so I figured that was the way to do it. I immediately messaged the company saying I would like to refund them and was told that I could and would receive a full refund. After 35 days of dealing with sending the order back, tracking it, and waiting for it to be processed I then received a message saying that I would be getting $2-$4 for each piece refunded, that didn't even cover the return shipping. Even if I wasn't able to get a refund, they should have said that up front and I would have kept the clothes. In late June, I was told that they will issue the full refund but it is now early July and I still haven't seen the refund. It takes on average 4-6 business days to get any sort of response back from customer service. This has been the most frustrating experience I've had in a really long time. I can't imagine how they are still in business.

This company is THE ABSOLUTE WORST of all the internet companies doing this. I received a gift of $250 for Le Tote from a friend. When I went to the site to apply the gift card, they were offering 40% off of the first two months. When I tried to use the gift card and take advantage of that offer, they told me that I couldn't use two coupon codes. I said "I'm not using two coupon codes. I'm using a gift card which is CASH and the code on your site for discount on first two months." They refused to honor it. Then, I wanted to use the remainder of of my money on account to purchase a few items. I was told I could not do that. I asked "WHAT, WHY?"...I was told that I could only use my gift card money on account for an additional month of membership. Needless to say, I DO NOT WANT any additional shipments from them. They will get to keep almost $80 of my money. ADDITIONALLY...all but two items DID NOT FIT. I sent accurate measurements. They don't have a clue how their items fit. And, to top it all off...the clothing was pilled, wrinkled, and VERY POOR QUALITY.

This company is not FOR the people, they are completely money hungry and lack basic customer service skills. You would think after stealing hundreds of dollars from people and hearing complaints they would change their practices. This company should be shut down and I will make sure everyone knows that they steal your money even after you follow their rules. I returned my tote and am now being charged $400.00 for items I dont even have anymore! They should be ashamed of themselves and I will make sure everyone know how bad they are until I get my FULL REFUND I DESERVE.

I received my first box yesterday and will be cancelling. Tried everything on and it all immediately went in the return bag. Total waste of money. The quality of the clothing was cheap, one of the pieces was severely worn and so low cut my boobs were completely hanging out. The colors of the 3 tops I ordered did not match the website. While everything is supposedly laundered, all items looked and smelled like they came straight from the thrift shop. This is not a good value. I was intrigued by getting out of my fashion rut, but I don't think this is the answer.

I really wish I read the reviews on this site before I subscribed to Le Tote. I've send them many many requests now to cancel my subscription and no one has gotten back to me. I can't find a phone number to call. After 5 days of trying to cancel my account, I think my only recourse will be to contact my credit card and refuse payment. The clothes were wrinkled and very worn. Couldn't believe they'd want someone to pay $68 for a blouse that was so wrinkled and worn. This is a horrible service and I can't recommend highly enough to stay away!

When I received my first box, I was very disappointed. The clothes appeared to be worn for the past twenty decades. They were very faded in color and in fabric. I know that these clothes are being worn over and over, but come on there comes a time when it needs to be replace with semi new ones. I noticed that they list the clothes very brand new and colorful in their catalog, but it is not the case at all when the items arrived at your home. I don't even look forward to the monthly boxes anymore because I know what I am expecting. Its the same ugliness every time. I mean the clothes are so faded. I hate the dresses I get, short above your knees, meaning I have to buy extra accessories for the dress. I do end up returning the items back quickly. I pay 64.00 every month and is not worth it. I will be cancelling soon.

I decided to try out LeTote for one month and received two shipments. The jewelry is very cheap quality (like dime store type), the clothes are very worn, not ironed, purse was damaged as they folded it and wrecked it, very ordinary clothes and a horrible selection at that. Trying to cancel is very difficult. I mailed back my last tote and cancelled the same day, in the meantime they received a notification from the post office that I mailed back the Tote the same day I put it in the mail and were ready to send me another one (you only have 2 days to modify it before they send it out to you). You have to email to cancel (horrible business practice for the consumer, should be a click of the button) and of course they don't respond to the cancellation email for days and there were days of back and forth emails - in the meantime the new tote is being sent to you! I never received the new tote (they told me to mail it back once I received it) and of course they are now charging me for the entire Tote (which are priced at brand new prices). No way to reach or respond to let them know i didn't receive the tote since I cancelled my subscription and can't access my account. Don't waste your money on this service, it's absolutely horrendous in every way you can imagine!

Signed up for this, when I saw what they were going to send me I immediately cancelled. Ugly is not the word. "Did they even pay attention to my likes/dislikes?" I'm sorry, but if something looks horrible on a model it's most definitely not going to look good on me. SO, my major issue is that I just noticed they went ahead and deducted $64 from my bank account. Didn't receive anything, cancelled immediately, and yet I'm paying them $64? Of course it's a Sat so i guess ill have to call Monday. What do you want to bet I can't get through? They have my credit card, hope this company is not a SCAM. P.S. Also joined "Wantable" and Nordstrom's "Trunk Club". Now THEY know how to ship some personalized cute clothes and boots and whatnot. Them, A+. This gig, F minus. Now to get my $64 dollars back...

The quality of the clothing was very poor, itchy fabric, shapeless cut, saggy neckline. I returned everything immediately - zero wear time.

When I contacted them with my concerns, before the 2nd tote was even mailed, I was told they would NOT refund my $54 since I had "used" their service! I immediately cancelled the service and filled a claim with my credit card. It is "internet" business like this that ruin it for quality companies!

Tip for consumers:
Don't try them unless you are okay with very poor quality clothing.

They charged me before my free two week trial was over (box had already been sent back) when I called they refunded my money (took like 2 days...) and convinced me to try two more weeks for free... I did like a moron...
Anyway, the same day they deposited the 74$ they weren't suppose to charge me the first time, they auto drafted 74$ AGAIN! It's been 12 days and I'm still waiting for my credit back into my account! (I called them twice this morning and they said it was probably an issue on my banks end- I'll be calling my bank tomorrow)
THEN they drafted my account 74$ today AGAIN! I have told them to cancel 3 x's now and instead they keep taking money out of my bank account! They now owe me 148$ and I'm pissed! I will be calling everyday until I get my money! Such a scam! The clothes weren't worth it, they smelled and selection sucked. But even more then that, this company is a thief! They will steal and haggle you. I will be going to my bank tomorrow to let them know le tote is NOT allowed to draft from my account and that they should be depositing 148$.

They charged my card multiple times but the next day close the account. Never sent anything, postal tracking numbers show a label created but the package never gets sent out. After a few rounds of this contacted CS and got a scathing accusation of fraud. CS sent me a list of customer names and addresses and claimed i was respinsible for all their chargebacks. Obviously if you charged my card i expect a package and perhaps all those ppl did too?

I wanted to cancel my subscription because while the concept is great, the fact that the clothes are worn before makes the price tag of $40-$50 for a shirt that's been worn a bunch of times pretty steep. There are online thrift stores with better quality stuff for lower prices.

Anyway, I decided I wanted to cancel the account. I put it on hold for a few months to be sure, and then just before the hold was going to be up I went to the website to figure out how to cancel. Just like most of these online services you have to CALL to cancel while it takes just 30 seconds and a credit card number to sign up to begin with. I called the number on 3 different days and at 3 different times. The phones are constantly down for a team meeting. Staff meeting one day, the next day it's a team meeting, but never anyone to answer the phone. On the final day, I sent an email declaring that I would dispute all future credit card charges and report them to consumer agencies if they did not cancel my account. Then I called repeatedly for about half an hour until I got someone on the phone. While, I thought I might pick them up again later once I was feeling like I needed something interesting in my wardrobe again, after that experience I promise I will never give them another chance.

I had a terrible experience very similar to 'Jenni N', below. Cancelling was way more difficult of a process than it should be. I requested to cancel immediately after receiving my first, crappy, box and they ended up charging me for my 'free' month (which I returned the box for) the next month, and then also for the ENTIRE BOX of that second month. Even though I returned all the items! They said it was their 'right' to do so. 'Customer Service' was abhorrent to interact with and refused to refund me for any of the subscription fees or the 'purchase' charges of the items I returned and never purchased in the first place... as a courtesy they said they could refund me in the form of 'purchase credit' (even though I was already cancelled and no longer even had an active account) OMFG! THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE REPORTED TO THE BBB.

DO not try this site. I went on, I thought just to peruse their selection. Despite the page assuring me that I could continue to review before finalizing anything, suddenly my card was charged and a subscription entered. I emailed their contact info asking for a cancellation and credit. No answer. No phone number listed on their site. After an internet search found something. The employee agreed to cancel but warned me they'd already sent out a tote. WHAT? I never even got to the page where I put in my size. WTF were they mailing me?! Now I have to return their stupid tote, and if I don't do it within a certain time they RESTART the subscription. I am done with this place. PLEASE DO NOT EVEN GO TO THEIR WEBSITE! Le tote-al scam.

I really enjoy LeTote for quick fashion items. I have had hiccups and have found their customer service to be great. I think they have a good website & app. Their products are much cheaper quality but for $50 a month- I don't mind because they are on trend. I don't like the following things about letote: They take quite a bit of time to ship products (I'm in NYC and I think they are in CA), they make you return your whole tote at once in stead of an item at a time, and their items are a bit on the cheap side.

I just wanted to cancel account and they make it impossible to do.
The only option in interface is to put account on hold for 2 months. I did it and also sent an email with ask to cancel account but their response got lost in "promotions" folder that I don't check carefully. I also think they didn't have their phone on their site at that moment.

Then suddenly I receive an email that they reactivated my account, charged credit card and my tote is ready to customized. Really? Okay, I sent one more email asking to cancel my account. Response is that i need call M-F 9am-5pm PST. Guess what, that's my working hours! Okay, I found a moment and called at 1pm weekday PST and... got voice mail that it's not their business hours.

This is awful customer experience. People don't have time to deal with your procedures. At all. If you're asked to cancel account, just cancel it, don't forward your FAQ and ask to call you.

The idea behind Le Tote is great however the clothing options are limited. Styles do not vary and of the 4 items I would receive each time only 1-2 fit properly. Some of the clothing seemed cheaply made but way over priced and sizes are limited. The items in my tote never pulled from "my closet" and I ended up having to search through the same selection every time to get to the items I did like. I'm in the process of trying to cancel my account and it's not an easy process.

Le-Tote has been such a great move this year! Im so happy with how carefully the team selects my pieces and how quick and responsive they are. The service has helped me cut down on the amount of time I spend getting ready. I highly recommend it!

Out of 4 services I've tried, LeTote is my favorite. You get 3 quality pieces+ 2 accessories to wear for as long or as little as you'd like. So far, everything has fit perfectly and I haven't received an item I couldn't utilize yet. Turn around time is usually 3-4 days. I did have a package that took 5 days to reach me so the LeTote team sent me a pair of earrings as an apology. Awesome customer service.
