So I have decided to write a positive review on this one as they have always been fair to me since I originally purchased their service back on 2016 and I am still using their service today. The only issue I have ever had was when their DC suffered some fire damage and they had to migrate accounts, it was a bit messy, but they got it done. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews when my experience has been solid, but I am sure that client experiences can vary on a case by case basis, but IMO they have been a solid provider for the past 7 years.

Pay only once host forever? Or once they get your money they don't care what happens. Months of downtime, useless support, very slow servers when they do work. Honestly this is not a money saving, you will just end up paying for a better host. If its to good to be true, it probably is. Save your money and use another host, loo at all the bad reviews we cannot all be wrong. You have been warned.

Site has been down for over ONE MONTH!

THIRTY DAYS of absolute terrible, horrible, completely jerk-you-around charade of support.

I sent at least FIFTY support requests.

Every time, they told me it would be back online by the next day.

Liars and charlatans. Avoid the crooks, they don't care about your business or the harm they cause.

If you are thinking about using them, do me a favor.

Run fast, fast, faster - as hard as you can, full-out sprint into a brick wall.

When you pick yourself up off the pavement and stop the bloody gash from your forehead from gushing out, remind yourself that this is how will you feel after dealing with these morons.

Don't use these clowns under ANY circumstance.

My good deed for the day is done.

I have never in my life encountered such crappy hosting. Plus, if you try to login to the cPanel, which is now Direct Admin, from behind a VPN, their system blacklists your IP address. My website is constantly going down and they don't allow SSH for FTP. It doesn't matter if you use a password manager to remember your login credentials for the client area, Direct Admin, or FTP. If you haven't logged in to either of these in more than a month your passwords will not work and you will spend hours just trying to get logged in again. Very poor customer service, but they know they suck and they don't care. The world is large and they will keep sucking in gullible people. I would like to see this corrupt business go away. When you open a support ticket they like to refer you to their very poor video collection which is obsolete or doesn't play. This place absolutely sucks and I feel bad for anyone else they rip off with their Lifetime Hosting scam.

I purchased my lifetime. Hosting back several years ago but did not have a good IM / marketing application until now. But now... With these fairly recent posts, I might need to consider another more costly hosting service because of all of the disruptions of service that has been reported here.

It seemed peculiar that the training vids that used to be available vanished and they were not that helpful to begin with anyway.

At the beginning, I did have some login or other technical needs that were reasonably handled. Lately, some inquiries when unheeded.

So, although I might have lost my investment this might have been a blessing in disguise. Thanks to the previous posters.

Honestly, I wish I had read reviews on Lifetime Hosting before I paid for this service. If I had stayed away, I could have avoided all of this - every negative comment I've seen on this site holds true for me. My domains and email accounts hosted by Lifetime Hosting have been down for nearly two weeks now and no end in site. Multiple emails and tickets with no resolution in site. And I keep getting basically the same response every time... "We do not have an ETA for restoration but on-site techs are working around the
Clock non-stop to get as many servers online as possible". And always followed with a sentence that irks me beyond believe: "I hope that helps". After nearly two weeks and getting the same response - I will be looking for a different hosting provider and will recommend that anyone considering Lifetime Hosting choose to look elsewhere as well.

It's being days now that I was in contact with their support, because my nameservers are not properly propagated. In fact I think it's their servers. The support answers to my questions are banal and evasive.
Avoid that antiservice.

It has been 4 years since I bought my domains - so called 8 year domain registration - apparently now it is for life hosting. THE ONLINE SUPPORT IS POOR - THE RESPONSE TIME IS POOR and sometimes i just feel they hire a new guy and he/she has a list of complaints to go through and all that person needs to do is provide A response - which itself is already slow - even if it is NOT an appropriate response.

I am now having to show to them that i have paid for my domains- which is silly because it is already shown on the system

Avoid avoid avoid at all costs.

I wont get my money back for sure.

I joined Lifetime Hosting just over a year ago and all seemed great for the first few months. BUT, they often change something and my sites and email go down for a few days each time. Support doesn't help or doesn't reply. Their latest change (July 2019) took all my sites and email offline. Not nearly 2 weeks later and I still cant access anything. Support ignore my messages.

Lifetime Hosting is basically a scam now. Unfortunately I will be transferring my hosting to a reputable host.

All of my websites were inaccessible for almost one month. Now that LH has fixed the problems, I will pay someone to migrate them away from Lifetime Hosting. I will pay for new hosting and I will have to pay for setups on the sites were ruined or deleted.

If you haven't signed up with Lifetime. Hosting or are shopping around, please look elsewhere. Save yourself hours, days, weeks of frustration and save yourself big money by buying hosting from a reputable provider.

Lifetime. Hosting is nothing but a huge source of frustration and extra work. My sites have been inaccessible for more than 18 days. I send support ticket after support ticket and it takes days to get a response, AND their responses are usually generic, not helpful, and do not help me move forward. In many cases, I don't think they even read my support requests, judging by the response they send.
Now I just want to gain access to my files and my sites enough to migrate them to a reputable host. Yes, I'll pay for hosting again. Yes, I'll pay someone to migrate the sites. Yes, I'll have to rebuild many sites from scratch.
It will all be worth it to get away from Lifetime. Hosting.

Account frequently suspended for no reason, unresponsive or unhelpful customer support

I need a expandable hosting package as I have nine websites now and will have many more soon. Lifetime Hosting seemed perfect as my sites will be simple, small and basic. However, my account is frequently suspended and all my sites are inaccessible for NO reason.
I have created multiple Tech Support tickets. Many go unanswered, others get a generic answer that does not help. I add on to those Support tickets, and days later, receive another generic and unhelpful response.
Last month, all of my sites were down for 10 days. This month, they've been down for at least eight days, with no resolution in sight.
When I try to log into my account now, I see a warning page that the site is Not Private, Not Safe.

I started with Lifetime Hosting when they first started and, really, they were quite excellent for a couple of years or so. The reliability and customer service were excellent. In the past 6 months or so, everything has spiralled downhill. Now, it is common for a website to be down for up to 24 hours and the load time for websites is unreasonably slow. Also, it takes a couple of days now for them to answer support tickets - they used to answer very quickly. I've written them off now and moved my sites over to a reliable monthly paid hosting service. Too bad - they were so good but now they have fallen apart.

Due to upcoming cPanel licensing changes, we will be moving all Lifetime. Hosting plans to the 100% compatible DirectAdmin control panel.

Unfortunately, during this control panel change your hosting account will experience downtime. We anticipate a minimum 4 to 6-hour service interruption for this upgrade although it may take as long as 12 hours depending on restoration speed and factors.

Once the server is prepared, we will immediately start restoring all hosting accounts. We anticipate 80% of all accounts will be restored in under 6 hours.

We will be backing up all hosting accounts starting Monday, July 22. We recommend you do not make any changes to your hosting account on or after this date as these modifications may not be restored on Thursday, July 25.

By far the worst host we have ever come across in all the years we have been on the internet. Our sites have been down for SIX DAYS now on Lifetime. Hosting. Their hosting is slow and unreliable at best and support is hopeless. During the latest crisis, you cannot get hold of anyone. No-one has told us what is going on or when our sites will be up again. If something is too good to be true, like the price in this case, it usually is. Avoid like the plague. By the way, I cannot upload proof of purchase because my receipt is not 300 X 300. I paid $38.80 for the Platinum 12 package.

It's well known that people are more inclined to take the time to complain than to praise, so here is my take on this company's services.

I bought my hosting package in July 2017 and have had very few problems with my sites. The exception being when they migrated the servers; that was a mess. My experience with Lifetime Hosting is certainly no worse than with other hosting providers that I've used and paid a lot of money for previously.

I do agree that DirectAmin is a poor replacement for CPanel, especially the files manager. But it is workable.

All in all I've had to create just 8 support tickets in nearly 4 years and some of those were asking for things that weren't normally covered in my plan. I always received a prompt response and with the exception of the migration fiasco, requests and issues were resolved rapidly (24-48 hours). In general I have found the support staff to be friendly and capable.

I moved 5 of my domains over to lifetime recently. After I moved them I could not access them. It took 5 days for support to unblock the ip after repeatedly telling me it was all ok. So I set up my mailboxes. Almost 2 weeks later and the majority of my email bounces, emails just disappear after I've sent them and I don't receive all emails. I have not got a reply to my tickets and comments from support for the past 5 days. Basically the service is totally unusable and support is non existant.

No response from helpdesk.

* No tutorials (except outsourced broad based general stuff so lacking - it's useless.)

All my sites are down for a week (so far) - the proof is shown as Lifetime. Hosting as the cause. Yet after I (finally) got a response from them they said "it's working fine on their end" - and CLOSED my ticket! Not even any form of assistance or wanting to help.

There should be a law against irresponsible hosting companies that take your money and run. After the great hard work to put up sites - they make them inaccessible.

This is a blatant crime - nothing less.

They don't care - as they already have your money.

Their ONLY goal is to get your money - nothing else.

STAY WELL AWAY!

Absolutely ridiculous - purely a money grab and I should have known better. Not even enough resources for a simple site. Frequently down and zero support. Email bounces for all IPs being listed in spamhaus etc. Just a scam.

By far the worst hosting company we have ever come across. Hosting there could be hazardous to your site's health. We have lodged more support tickets with them over two years, than with any other company - ever! Last year they corrupted one our accounts completely and rendering several of our sites useless and then asked us if we had a backup a day later! We also lost all our historical stats!

Recently we lost two more sites for no reason. They just stopped rendering. And of course, it's never their fault (according to them! Their support is appalling and non responsive and site up times are abysmal.

Last year, our sites were down for two weeks! No explanation or apology given. You can see by the reviews here, that we are not alone.

I try to buy a certificate through their site but that doesn't even work, ask support and still not resolve.
I'm thinking after this fiasco I'm going through with this node issue that I'm not even using a third of what I pay for. And now I got clients yelling at me I don't know if I want to invest anymore into this project on your company. Where my customer thinks they're being mistreated and the headache you're putting me through ridiculous not a phone number, not a chat not nothing you shut me down and I can't do anything can't even fix it don't even know what it is but I can't fix it

This is not a way to run a business where every thing's you shut down in weird postings instead of the website or put up would have been better to say is under maintenance or something else but not that notice is insulting to these clients and embarrassment these are professional people that don't need this mostly lawyers and there is no reason to stop their email

I've been a Customer for about 2 Years, had Numerous Problems, Iit takes about a week or longer to get things resolved, and MOST of the time I am Smarter than their Techs!
My Site has a Security Warning on it, I'm Getting NO Emails and my Emails sent have to go out through another server as to not get flagged as SPAM.
