Lonestar Timeshare Transfer, of Rockwall, Texas, is definitely not to be trusted. First, they are operating a sole proprietorship in violation of Texas law. The name must be registered as an assumed business name. It is not. Combined with the anonymizing website registration, a "About Us" page that never names names... you're dealing with a company that is doing business with a bag over its head.

I have discovered via legal service and a lot of digging that the owner is one Karen L. Holloway (formerly Petty), aged 37, and husband Brian D. The Rockwall address is just more obfuscation. She has been running this outfit for two years, since her previous timeshare scam, Timeshare Justice Incorporated, forfeited its existence when she was found to not be in compliance with applicable statute (Texas SOS entity #******* if you care to see for yourself). Formerly at Aramark, it seems she doesn't care to work for a living any more. If you wish to serve them legal papers, I got satisfaction using 2700 Merlin Dr, Lewisville, TX *******-5739, *******230.

So much for doing business with a bag over your head, Karen. If you don't like people investigating you, then file the required assumed business name paperwork with the Secretary of State. So, before we've even met you, we know you're breaking the law.

As for timeshares, their main ploy seems to be mass spam campaigns talking about "your timeshare" as a phishing technique, filtering only the most stupid who think, "Oh, they know about my timeshare". Yeah, people still fall for that. Then they find out what you want, claim to have it, get rights to yours... and, oh, the one you wanted isn't available anymore. But now they have your listing. It's a straight-up, blind flying phishing scam. And it only takes 1 in 100 to make it all pay. Lots of fees, lots of fine print- by the time the mark is fed up they realize they only have a phone number. Go recover based on that.

Avoid if you have 1/2 a brain.

We're out of our timeshare! It took only 7 months. Lots of customer support and hand holding. A little pricey, but they got us the results they promised. Wonderful to deal with.

Lone Star Transfer did exactly what they said they would do - get us out of our timeshare! They were professional as well as caring throughout the process. I think my timeshare is gone but we never get any word from them at all. Never email us or call at all.
