“TV Shows you can't find anywhere else”

I've looked out for great shows from the 60s and 70s, that cannot be found anywhere, for a long time. I finally saw Loving The Classics had one of these shows. Looking at their catalogue I found even more. Being cautious I only ordered two shows. Then I saw the bad reviews and got worried. After a time, my order showed as 'In Shipping Queue'... for a long time. I emailed them to ask and received no response. Then I let it slide for a while. Today they turned up. No email, no nothing. I envisage someone burning the discs from source materials (e.g. Recorded off TV Land showings). Where multiple episodes are on a disc, a menu has been built and even some commercials still included! The quality varies. Why am I giving four stars? My bottom line is, I would rather have these classic shows in lesser quality, than not have them at all. If that is how you feel too; give Loving The Classics a chance.

For a long time, i've held off with placing an order with Loving The Classics. I've seen the reviews on here, and they've kept me away from ordering from them…. In spite of the fact that they were selling a show that I loved as a little kid in the 70s. Not just a few episodes either, but they had the entire full run of the show. After a few years of going back and forth with the idea of ordering, I finally decided to take a chance and order. I decided that I would wait a month and start emailing them if I didn't hear from them at all. So, I placed my order. I received a receipt via email and a order confirmation.
Three weeks later I received a notification tjat my order shipped with a tracking number! I was psyched! My order just showed up today and I am thrilled. Just finished watching the first episode.
Patience is a virtue.

I paid for a DVD from these clowns and after waiting over three weeks and no DVD I contact them and they say that they are having "administrative issues", whatever that means. So the DVD finally arrives over a week later and it is the wrong DVD. Then they say that they won't pay to ship back the wrong DVD and send me the right one. I highly recommend that you do not do business with these jerks. You will be disappointed. I would leave zero stars if that was an option, since one star is too high for these morons.

Not a pleasant experience. Still trying to get a refund.

I purchased a DVD over a month ago. It's February 23,2024 and have not received purchase. I have repeatedly tried to make contact with seller with no results. I've emailed, text and called with no answer. I've asked seller to send my purchase or give me a refund.no answer.

I've been using Loving The Classics for about 10 years. Every time I place an order it takes about one month before it arrives. Occasionally, you will get a bad disc. I've sent about 6 emails over a two month period of time and I get no satisfaction. I would ONLY buy from them if you can find no other alternative.

I ordered a DVD from them and 2 weeks later, after repeated requests, it still had not shipped. I cancelled order and bought DVD elsewhere. A week after I received an email saying it had shipped. Contacted seller who did reply and told me to ship it back, which I did. Seller later acknowledged receipt, but has refused to issue me a credit and is now radio silent. Learn from my completely AWFUL experience.

Don't waste your money with these people. They will take your money and never give you any product.

Terrible website - slow and difficult to use.

Terrible customer service - never answer Email, their phone number doesn't work.

They lie... they said that an order that was 4 months old would ship and I still haven't seen it after 2 more weeks of silence.

I ordered a set of DVDs about a year ago and the charge appeared on my credit card. For months I received nothing, I could not contact them so I sent a dispute to Discover. They refunded my money. About the same time I got an email from the new person who was running Loving the Classics. Their browser was blocking all kinds of mail so she fixed it and about December 2019 sent another email saying she was catching up on orders. By the beginning of January 2020 I received my set of DVDs. The other person didn't realize the situation and it has been corrected.

My fiancé wanted to buy Death Valley Days and this was the only choice at the time. This person clearly is charging for what they recorded off of TV. There are times when the recording of the TV program goes to the guide while the person is looking four something else. According to their "return policy" and my communications with customer service, they will only record once they receive the faulty discs. This is decidedly unlike any company we've ever dealt with. There are 5 faulty discs and I don't know if it's worth returning them, based on the reviews I've read. At least they sent us SOMETHING, which is more than they did for others. This company doesn't care about customer reviews or customer satisfaction at all. We paid a lot of money and dos NOT get our money's worth. If I could leave less than one star, I would.

I ordered the Lassie Series on DVD, They send me 210 DVDs that not a single one will play. If you have an issue with your purchase, there is never a person you can talk to about it. Just the option to leave a msg that is never returned. They refuse to do anything about the situation and I lost over $200 by choosing to make a purchase with them. BUYER BEWARE of these scammers!

Months ago, I ordered a DVD of Operation Swallow (attached). It didn't work, which I pointed out to them. They didn't answer emails, repeatedly. I can't work out if they are arrogant, disorganised or just crap. Having seen the negative reviews that go back to 2013 (!), its clear that they've also got an amazingly flat learning curve. Don't waste your time or money on this outfit.

I knew what I was getting into here, this site has had terrible reviews for years. But I decided to risk it, given TV series in question was unobtainable otherwise. Three months after I placed my order, I was surprised to receive three DVDs. Unfortunately, only 2 worked and, as expected, no replacement after a half dozen emails requesting the missing DVD. Though they did respond to one of them about 2 months ago and claimed it would be sent right out. I have a nagging suspicion it will not be arriving any time soon.

I bought the series "the partners" on march 10 this year. I had answers by mail for 4 months saying it would send but nothing was ever sent. I am trying to find a way to file a complaint in the USA since I bought the series from France (with over 25 dollars shipping). Altogether over 71 dollars are lost.

as for me the DVDs were never sent and I lost all the money I sent

I received a DVD set but the first disc was broken. I cannot play the first disc at all since it is broken. The second disc is very blurry but I was willing to accept that because I wanted this series very much.

I went to your Customer Service website and it says to contact LTCU before returning the product. I found two email address and tried both. Email was rejected at both addresses. I found three phone numbers but none of them were accepting calls.

I should like to amend my earlier review[2/17]. Having recieving order today, inow believe i was wrong in my belief. And while no intirely happy with service [ie>ten week wait on order 12/25] i now believe Loving The Classics to be a basically honest company, and should like to offer my apology john judd 4/16

Just an update. After more than 18 months of silence -- and after they took my money -- I received an email stating they could not fulfil my order and offering me a "credit" for the amount I paid. The credit expires May 31. Of course, I wrote back demanding a refund, not a credit. Since then, not a word. Do not trust these people hiding behind the "small business" label. I work with dozens of small businesses. They don't steal money like these frauds.

With all negative reviews I saw in these site, I was thinking I'll just loose my money and quite soon I sent a message looking for my order.
Not quickly they wrote to me explaining the delay, and I've received the two movies I have ordered.

It took several weeks, but I got them. My issue with them was that I already had seen nine of the episodes and really only needed the last four I didn't already have. It didn't say which episodes were on the disc. I e-mailed, but got no response. I was so desperate to get the last four episodes that I just ordered it anyways. (It says that if you have to text them. I really don't text and I don't know why I should have to contact them anyways to find out which episodes are being offered-why that isn't just listed on the website?!)
This will go right into the trash! They weren't even the first seven episodes and none of the four that I still wanted!

They should list specifically which episodes they have and respond to e-mails!!!

Ordered a film 3 years ago, they immediately took my money, I filed a BBB REPORT. Just got a package today with a homemade COPY of the film which is crap. Jumpy, third generation lousy quality, oh and a freebie of a Julie Andrews movie. Don't bother with this company unless you have low blood pressure and need it to rise. WTF. HOW IS THIS PLACE STILL IN BUSINESS!

Well, this website (Lovingtheclassics.com) is good enough to make me cry. I have spent a lot of hours at stores and prior to the emergence of the websites dealing in classic Hollywood cinema, et al. But I found LovingtheClassics.com, the best place, by far, when it comes to getting the best of classic movies with great prints. That being said, it is painfully evident that the website has entered the arena a bit too late with some other well oiled websites being around for some time now; however, Lovingtheclassics.com is one of those websites that you just feel like they are doing what the others are doing a bit better. The procedures and rules around their service is a bit more rigid than I would have liked, but at the end of the day, they just provide better service (not to mention, better quality prints) than any similar service.

When you call the support staff, they will freely admit that it is a known problem and not try to make you feel like a complete idiot. For any kind of real classic movie lover, a look back into the glorious history of film should definitely start with LovingtheClassics.com.

I am not at all unhappy with this website. In fact, I expect to be using it more often for the reasons I highlighted in the above section. I will rate this website with '4 stars out of 5' meaning "it's pretty good" but I hope that it will be even more better than it already is. Keep up the good work guys.

I ordered a dvd in early May. This in now the end of June and I am still waiting to received it. There is no answer to my email. Giving a 10% discount on a future purchase is not a help for me. I don't think I'll ever order from them again. I really think I lost my money.

I ordered "Desert Legion", an Alan Ladd movie dvd from Loving the Classics. The product was great. The color, clarity, and sound were outstanding. I had a few questions and staff got right back to me in a timely manner. They have a great selection of movies that are hard to find. I highly recommend Loving the Classics and plan on doing future business with them. Very Pleased Steve Somers 3-28-18

I ordered a DVD back in March 2020 and finally five months later, in August, it came. In the meantime, my credit card was charged FOUR times - twice by Classic Reelz on 3/16 and 4/11 and twice by Loving the Classics - 8/15, around the time I received the DVD, and AGAIN, out of the blue, in November! These folks go by different names, websites and have multiple telephone numbers and email addresses. They will not respond to emails, answer the phone or respond to voicemail. I've had to block them from charging me yet again and I'm still working with my card company disputing the charges. Boy did I learn a lesson here! It's a shame these people are allowed to run this scam!
