“Simply, the best online magic shop on the net. WOW...”

Simply, the best online magic shop on the net. WOW... that's a big statement, but I challenge you to find better. Thousands of products at great prices. Lots of product reviews, blogs, demonstrations, etc. If you're into magic, at any level, you must check out magicgeek.com. Now, where do we start... Oh yea..."pick a card, any card;-) SADLY, MAGIC GEEK NO LONGER EXISTS. Reasons... too many to get into here. However, check out Penguin Magic or Vanishing Magic... Google em... both great suppliers!

“My son placed an order with Magic Geek on September...”

My son placed an order with Magic Geek on September 4th and paid for expedited shipping. It's now September 23rd and he still hasn't received his order. Repeated calls to Magic Geek have gone unanswered (always get an answering machine, no matter what time of day, and they never call back). They've also ignored email questions about the order. Appears to be a scam.

I ordered a set of juggling pins on Aug 7th, and the confirmation email said 3-7 days shipping time. My bank account was charged for the set. It's October 17th and they still haven't arrived. Emails to the company haven't been answered and the website is now down... I'm livid.

I found this on FB don't know if I truly believe what he is saying but I was ripped off by Magic geek or should I say my 13 year old son was I will now have to go through Paypal to get his money back.

This is going to be a long one, but I feel I need to address the whole Magic Geek thing...

First off, I want to say that I feel very blessed to have worked at Magic Geek. I got to be creative and meet a lot of very cool people both in person and through social media. Interacting with you all on YouTube and beyond was such a very amazing experience and I absolutely loved it.

I poured my heart into Magic Geek through video production, trick creation, graphic design, hand-drawn newsletters, quirky magazine ads, Tweets, product reviews and fake moustaches. I held nothing back and because of that customers thought that I owned the company in some capacity or other.

I did not.

I was an employee and eventually, for reasons out of my control, the company could no longer support my salary and I was let go (months ago).

I have my own opinions on this that will remain private as I didn't think it was my place to make a statement on the company or management in a negative or positive light. I was no longer a spokesperson for the company and I thought I would leave it up to the company to maintain their business and up to the customers to decide which magic company they wanted to buy from.

However, I'm writing this now because my past association with Magic Geek has followed me into this new chapter of my life in the form of customer questions. I am being asked to answer for the accountability of the company because people assume that I own, manage or are still somehow associated with the company.

At this point, I know what you know. I've read the posts on forums and Facebook, I've seen that the sites are currently down and I hear the cries for help from customers that write to me directly.

All I can say is that I am frustrated along with you. I am watching my hard work disappear and my personal reputation get tarnished by misunderstandings and situations that I have absolutely no control over.

I hope that anyone who feels betrayed by Magic Geek gets taken care of. I hope that you understand my position here. And I hope that it doesn't discourage you from continuing your magic.

Anyway, I just want you all to know that I hear you, I feel for you and I wish there was more I could do; but I felt it was important for me to clear a few things up as well.
