“No communication, No communication at all”

If you expect communication and transparency this is not the company for you! I am having siding and a few other things done, I read reviews prior to going with Randy. They were mostly about windows so I disregarded them when I shouldn't have. I liked Randy, he told me his honest opinion about the choices I was making and seemed to want to be sure I was getting what I wanted as this is a long term investment which is going to be seen everyday when I pull up to my house. Some of what's going on I'm sure is actually beyond his control and Alsides (the vendor for the materials) but there's next to no communication going on unless prompted by us, and there's been a few little white lies that have been told. We were told that they'd be here on a few different dates and no one ever showed because of material or crew problems, again if that was communicated it wouldn't have really been an issue. We just wanted to be sure we were here when they first came over to make sure we got the correct material (as advised by Randy) which seemed wise. When we expressed frustration with the false starts due to missing work on the days they'd scheduled 3 times the response was something along the lines of "We're going to be outside, no one needs to be home" which seemed facetious. They also claimed to have been trying to reach me instead of my husband and while it's possible that they had the wrong number I am doubtful, I never received any texts or missed calls from Jason, the man that claimed to be trying to reach me. They ordered white corners, I originally wanted espresso but that had been discontinued in 2017 and I wasn't informed. I found out when the corners were installed, so we had to pick a different color, after going back and forth about who's going to pay for this mistake. Randy wanted us to pay for the installation of the new color, which we refused due to the fact that it was a mistake made by him when ordering materials. In a later conversation he explained to my father that he wasn't going to make me pay for that, I have text messages proving otherwise. Instead of offering a good customer experience by providing communication between the customer and the vendor, he gave me the vendor's information and my husband and I have been going back and forth with him ourselves. Andrew at Alside has been handling our request, but we've been sorely disappointed with his communication as well. We have been waiting for something to happen for a couple of weeks now, understanding that the material isn't available for a few more days. There are several things that we've shared with Alside and Randy that need to be fixed but nothing has been done to correct those things and there's a pile of siding and other stuff on the side of my house blowing away with the stormy weather we've been having. The cover of the dryer vent was removed who knows how long ago and never put back on so we're also looking at a rodent issue. When informed of this Andrew and Randy didn't even respond. If I have the option to attach images I will do so. If at the end of my experience I feel that the review needs to be changed of course I'll do that too.
