My Rotel cd player (yes, I'm an old-timer audiophile who still plays cd's) arrived in 3 days, and it was handled very well - no damage at all to the box's exterior, and the player was boxed within a box within a box- so it probably could have even been kicked and the player would have come out unscathed. Good job, Music Direct!

Music Direct who owns Mobile Fidelity has been misleading customers for over a decade failing to mention that Mofi records (including the $125 one step records) are not all analog but sourced for dsd (digital) files. Read about the story in the Washington Post. You guys ought to be ashamed!

You owe your customers a refund and a apology but neither is likely to happen. Audiophiles take a stand and take your business elsewhere.

Terrible customer service. If your trying to get a refund it's nearly impossible. Buyer beware. I bought a tube,and the sent me the wrong one tried telling me it was the right one. Clearly it was not it had a different number on it. Still waiting for the refund. They keep lying to me every time I call

Ordered the amp 6000$... free shipping g and state tax. I live I. Va it is 5.3% I got charged 10% tax...
I called them. I had took selfie of invoice and talked to a mgr named bes... blah blah. Mistake... I did it afewmore items sa e 10 %. They are a ig question in my mind... why would I buy from them now. He gave me the impression he would take are of me... lol... alluded to 10 % off. I said 15 might be betterto see what he said. Well i wouldn't buy anything from them. If they did that I felt theupy would send me an open box or return... I don't buy those... there is a reason they came back j., read ppl who bought open box tt and tonearm came vroken,,, don't like and say they are revfurbishec., his tune changed McIntosh will not allow dis outs but good news I have in sti k and will correct tax rate., anyone e who bought from them I. The last place years ck your receipt and see if you were charged the correct t tax rate... they come across as the best. Lol remember they own mo Ile fidelity and ha e lied for years all analog when not tdue,,, stu k did I. Process. I told him I'll buy it from a million pla es that j don't hVe to have them correct t a ripoff... k your receipts., call them if it does t add up. Most ppl do t ck..

Took weeks to ship my product, then they recalled it back because I wasn't able to pick it up for a few days, so I ordered another one that they took another week to ship, but when I FINALLY got it, they sent me the wrong product. I mailed it back and they took ANOTHER week and THEY STILL HAVEN'T GIVEN ME WHAT I ORDERED! It's been over a month since I ordered it the first time and I'm about out of patience with these people. By far the WORST customer service I've ever seen.

Just went to buy something in my cart... they raised prices almost 25% to nail Christmas shoppers. Old price was on my screen from yesterday and went to purchase, BOOM up $50...
I took everything on my XMas list from them off...
This includes clearance items they jacked up pricing.
LOL Buyer beware! Sad... I liked them...

They sent the wrong cable and then wouldn't pay for the return shipping NOR reimburse me for the $11 I spent on 2-day delivery. Not one but two salespeople tried to explain that the one I had was what I ordered even though the numbers did not match the invoice. If you order a model T (on the invoice) and it says model V on the packaging and the product, you did not get what you ordered. Heed the warning: AVOID THIS PLACE. They'd rather cheat you out of a few dollars than keep a customer.

Talked to customer service last week about an album I received in the mail that had terrible Seam splits top and bottom. Number Edition release. Had a very low number. Which I was lucky. But with seam splits. I asked about returning it for another copy, she suggested that they could send me out just another cover that would be great. She put me on hold to check on it and I got disconnected. So I called back a minute later and same female stated we'd send you and email when it will be Mailed out. I told her she told me to hold I'd check to see if you had covers to send to me. She stated no we'd email you with the status. I said yes you did, but said you'd put me on hold to find out, then I lost the call. She hung up on me first and second call without saying thank you or good buy. Most customer services people ask if there's anything else I can help you with before we disconnect call. 0, nothing. I call back today 7 days later to check on the status or I'd prefer to just return the album set. Either way. She said it's being processed right now. Then hangs up again. No good bye. No thank you for calling music direct. Nothing. Some people don't need to be working in customer service. I've worked customer service my whole life. Never did I do what she did. Not necessarily are customers always right thing. But customers always deserve respect.

I have been a customer for a couple of years now and have always had a good experience with them. My most recent purchase was a Rega P3 turntable which was shipped promptly and arrived well packaged. I highly recommend associate Cohen Gamboa as he was quite accommodating and helpful on a couple of occasions.

I have deal with music direct many times I bought speakers, cd player. Integrated amp etc.always received everything on time received help from Tom who is an excellent advisor I have no complaints whatsoever I Rated music direct 5 stars om everything

Deals on new products are usually not to be had from MusicDirect, but I should warn anyone that their site is the ultimate in temptation! It is hard to resist adding more than you can afford to your cart. When I ordered a large-ticket item recently, they called me to verify that I was indeed the buyer, and that I had authorized use of my credit card. That is comforting to know. To get a deal, you have to keep an eye out for their discount codes, and take time to browse their clearance items as well. Also, be sure to read each product description carefully--there are many products which are very similar, but differ in who manufactured them. (Example--a vinyl release may be issued on two or three different labels--make certain you are ordering the title you've intended to get!) Fast, free shipping on my last order... highly recommended!
