SITE BUSTER! Review of Mysteryshoper.com. People I have looked into a slew of these, and they are NOT WHAT YOU THINK THEY ARE! In fact, they are not only all the same, they may all be put out by the Same people! Or not, who knows, but its a very, very lucrative business. Read this: This site had no reviews on it, because its not even a site yet. It is "mysteryshoppers.com," and also at the same time, "secretshoppers.com," while they are also building a new site, probably going to be, "hiddenshoppers.com," or something just like it. I quote from their own words, "Since 1989 (doubtful, as the internet was barely rolling then) Corporate Intelligence Group ("intelligence" being key here) has designed, developed, and implemented Hundreds of Mystery Shopping programs." Hundreds! People, hundreds. One corporation. Why? Wouldn't One suffice? They claim they do this for their customers to, "put them on the cutting edge, radically improving the vitality of their business." How do they do this? "Over the years Corporate Intelligence Group has grown into an information Powerhouse..." and this information is? YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION! That's right, Yours! That's what they gather and sell. How? They promise you, and everyone, big "Extra Cash," first. "Make $200 on Every Assignment You Complete!" is a flat lie, as you will see in a minute. When you click on it, it seems straight forward. The "assignments" look simple, and they repeat over and over they are going to give you $200 to spend in the store (your choice) you're assigned to. But, that's not what happens at all. They start out by asking only for an email address, when you "Fill out the form," which seems innocent enough, but as you get deeper into it, after you've already given them your likes, preferences, dislikes, places you shop now, how much you spend on what (the list goes on and on) you find that now they want your street address, mailing address, your full name, and your Bank Account #'s "so they can pay you" all this fabulous money you're going to be making. This is the information on You that they sell to Corporate America and any/all comers that will pay, foreign and all. Thousands of Times! In the past a typical mailing list was worth a dollar a name, but that's gone up, a lot, because now there is much more info to sell. Know this as well! Once you have Any business contact with any company they then have the legal right to "Contact" you in any way they have available. Ads, Flyers, Spam, Phone calls, E-mails, even in person! For a full Three Months after this contact even if you "opt out" as they tell you you can. There will be Thousands of them. What do you get? Not what you hoped, that's for sure. In one place it says you will have to complete 20 assignments successfully before you get anything at all. In another its ten assignments. Ether way you get nothing until you do all this first. Now lets look at you're chances of being Able to accomplish this. It would be fraud if they Never gave out a $200 assignment, so one somebody somewhere no doubt did, but here's how it works for you: By their own admission they have "too many people applying," so you have to be "chosen." This is one in hundreds, if that, maybe thousands, just to get any assignment at all. Then the money suddenly drops down to fifty, or forty, or ten, "depending on the assignment." That's for the ppl that get anything. IF they first complete 20 full assignments to everyone's complete satisfaction. All the rest... Well they get "a gift." An unnamed gift. Probably a smiley face. This is their come-on gimmick. They're not going to hand out any more than the absolute minimum... you know that. Probably then 99% get smiley faces for all that thousands of dollars worth of personal information they just signed away to their cozening. The one percent then works like a dog to complete 20 $10 assignments, one per Week! Is how long you get... that's 20 Weeks, to finally get their $200. This is legal. You gave up that information voluntarily. BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T READ THE FINE PRINT FIRST. But I did. I always do. And now you too know what this Mystery Shopping thing is all about. Conning You to give up all your personal info for nothing!
