I joined this site and saw that they were crowdfunding to raise £5000. I made one post saying "£5,000 seeems a huge amount of money. Will you be publishing accounts as to how the money is spent? Do you have a committee? What controls are in place to ensure that proper and accurate accounting takes place?". When I went back to the site to look for a response I found that my account had been deleted. The site is not secure and although you type in mystreetlink.com it takes you to a totally different web address. Treat with extreme caution.

Came across this site today on kahuti and joined up to see whether it is a viable alternative to the now defunct streetlife.
Delighted to say it seems great, very friendly and helpful forums and the localised sociability that I was looking for in a site.
The 2 negative reviews are written by some of the people who were spamming junk on kahuti to promote their own site, having investigated they are members of a site called "Lowkey" which seems to operate amongst a few members in Kent and Essex and certainly matches it's name in design and ability.
I think crowd funding a new website is a great idea especially as I have now found out it came from the members not the owner, hence I donated today and yes my bank account is still safe despite the moronic scaremongering in the negative reviews.
Amazing site and in the process of building a new site can't wait. Keep it up!
