Left me on my own with unusable domain and wasted money. Left me on my own with unusable domain and wasted money. I have purchased .ICU domain at NameSilo.com. After some time domain stopped working with no reason and without any preliminary warnings or smth. Support just told me this is registry issue and I will not receive any real support from NameSilo.com. .ICU registry won't talk to me. Domain not working, money wasted. Do not recommend.

Sorry to hear about your poor experience with us. Please understand that your domain was placed on ServerHold by the registry that owns that TLD, not by us. As we communicated over e-mail, we will contact the registry on your behalf to figure out why your domain was placed on ServerHold and let you know. Typically, this happens when the registry finds your domain to be involved with abuse - i.e. spam, phishing etc.

Update: Namesilo never helped me with this and instead bashed me publicly online without providing true support. They claim I spammed their network, but the truth is they kept copying and pasting responses that had nothing to do with what I was asking, so I was forced to copy and paste the same question repeatedly, while just being given back some pasted response having nothing to do with what I asked.

NameSilo I went from liking this company to all the sudden they are now working with scammers it seems to rip their own customers off. I bought a brand new domain and supposedly private, yet the next day I get emails advertising me services. If it's private how do the scammers know I bought it? Seems like you have someone in your company doing illegal activity and Namesilo will protect them, and has so far. I just asked for a phone number for support and was blocked from support. The service has turned to absolute crap

Sorry to hear about your poor experience with us. There are several different issues here:
1 - the main problem here appears to be that you hadn't turned on your WHOIS privacy for your domains when initially registering or transferring them. As such, it is possible that spammers across the web were able to capture your information prior to turning on WHOIS privacy and are using that info to contact you. Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do about that because as per ICANN requirements, we have to provide registrant information when you register/transfer your domain. If you did not turn on WHOIS privacy, then that's likely the reason why. The unwanted reach-outs should hopefully reduce once you turn on privacy for all your domains; but if they don't, we recommend you block the e-mails/phone numbers contacting you.
2 - as we have explained over e-mail, we obviously do NOT sell customer information to anyone or work with scammers as you are asserting. Yours is an isolated issue and only occurring on the domains where you didn't have WHOIS privacy set.
3 - the reason that you were temporarily blocked is because you were spamming across our support chat and social media pages so our team was forced to take action. Spamming across our platforms is not conducive to getting any issue resolved and simply creates more difficulties/frustration for our team.

I always register my domains and my web design clients' domains with NameSilo and The-Online.com domain registrar. They both offer low prices and good support. NameSilo has many promos, but lack phone support or live chat. They should have quick phone support to fix DNS things on my account. Else they are quite good.

Interface and console are NOT user-friendly. Knowledgebase and help files are mostly useless. Takes hours to figure out how to do something unless you're a pro.

They provide EMAIL SUPPORT ONLY as are NEVER ONLINE FOR CHAT - even in the middle of the day. No phone support whatsoever either. Even in a crunch when begging for help in email. Takes way to long to get responses.

Go find another company who cares about their customers!

I've been a customer of Namesilo for a few years now. I switched over to them from NameCheap after they repeatedly let me down on the support side. Namesilo is pretty awesome in that regard. I've only ever talked to support twice, but both times they were able to help me out relatively quickly. They have two-factor authentication which is a great thing for security and overall they have great pricing for their domain names. Really have nothing to complain about them at all. Would highly recommend them.

NameSilo.com is a domain company which buys domains from other domains paying a few dollars and they are selling the domainname for a thousand of dollars! Don't get fooled and screwed out!

I have been a Namesilo customer since 2013 and haven't got a reason to look back yet. Great support! Simple interface and many useful add-ons without asking for extra pay.

Managing some of my domain on Namesilo.com
Prices are very competitive with no additional fee.
All are included, like Whois Privacy, DNS Hosting, Email Forwarding, etc.
Excellent registrar.
