My name is Eddie. I live right outside of Woodbury N.J. I was is my local NAPA location this past weekend and was helped by Rob (whom I presume is the manager of this location), and I wanted to compliment him and NAPA on a job well done. Rob was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and is an all around good man. NAPA is blessed to have Rob as an employee, and I'll be returning to this location in the future for the things I need.
Tried to call and no one answered. Take a chance and drive there, even though other stores are closer, and they do not have the part I need. Was not ugly about it, just tell the guy, "if you had answered the phone, it would have saved me the trip." Realize, not a single soul was in the store. Guy gives me an attitude and says, "I can't always answer the phone..." As I'm leaving, I hear him mumble@$$hole." No secret why the store was so empty.

They sent me the wrong trailer hitch now. My return application has been under review for over two months. I call them they tell him I have to wait to have my return reviewed but if it's approved, I will have to pay shipping and have a 25% shelving fee the trailer hitched over 100 pounds it will cost more to return it than the purchase price.
I tend to maintain older cars including a 1970 Cougar and NAPA has historically been a very reliable source of good quality parts. I recently stumbled on a website issue on a promotional item with wiper blades and free windshield cleaner when purchasing a pair of wiper blades. The promotional only works if you buy the exact same pair of wipers, not different lengths (driver side, passenger side) like found on many modern vehicles. When I visited the store to pick up my items, they were unable or unwilling to honor the promotion--they were mostly high school or college age who don't seem to know about cars or business. When I contacted their support, they dismissed it and closed the ticket. The same promotional came up 6 months later with the same issue. Its apparent their web designers never change their own wipers. Either way, small issues like this can reveal deeper issues with their organization, so I am using other suppliers currently.
Tip for consumers:
Pay attention to the final details and that specials are properly-applied

The Good: Other parts stores mostly seem to have the exact same parts; NAPA often has stuff they don't.
The Bad: Online order pricing. My recent order showed three different prices, depending on whether your believed the email from PayPal, the email from NAPA, or what PayPal showed when the dust had settled. All other businesses get this right, so I don't want to hear the excuses. Also, they often fail to send a "Your NAPA Order is Ready" email, no matter how long you wait. It's happened to me multiple times, so it's a real issue that needs to be fixed.
The Ugly: Sometimes the site is wrong about which parts will and won't fit your car. Attached photos show a tail-light socket they said wouldn't fit fitting perfectly, and they weren't offering any other option.
Buyer beware of return policy for online purchases. The floor mats I ordered online turned out to be thin cheap black plastic. They wouldn't lie flat no matter what I did so I had to return them. Warning there is a restocking charge on top of the return shipping. I lost 34% of my original purchase charge for a product that was poor quality & didn't work. NAPA is not an honorable company. Avoid ordering from their website.
Site says mats fit your car - nope. Then when you contact CS for help you get oh yeah your car isn't the right fit. WAIT WHAT? Your site asked me about the car and said IT FITS. Well it doesn't and if you want to send it back it is 15% restock PLUS you pay for shipping. Will never do business with them again. Their loss.

Got a really rude service person at Napa I contacted Napa corporation said they would get back to me with 24 hours 48 hours never did call them again said the same thing again never did call him a third time so they do the same thing never did worst customer service of a corporation ever imagine
I purchased a Legend battery on 2/28/24.
After purchasing the battery, I brought the old battery back to have it tested, it tested at full strength per your employees.( which was later confirmed by a Napa auto repair where the car was repaired. I still had the battery I had just purchased from you in the original condition (this all happened within a 45 minute span)
I was told there could be no refund on a battery which I later found out to be untrue according to your website and other Napa locations.
Obviously, I'm disappointed by the decision your local store made. I would appreciate your attention to this problem. I am willing to bring the battery back obviously. Not that it may matter but I'm a retired senior citizen on a budget and $200 is a lot of money for me. I sent the above letter to Napa. They responded thank you we'll try to do better. 🤷🤷
Got my meyer ******* 3 weeks ago and found that the controller for the plow would not fit this plow. It was for a different plow. I contacted them right away, and called them every week from then and still nothing. I ordered and paid over 200$ for the correct part for the plow from the manufacturer, and they sent it in 3 days. I do not recommend ordering anything from this site, they mess things up and send you things your not able to use and dont care about jumping on it and getting it corrected in a timely fashion. Still have not gotten a reply from them or the parts needed. The ******* needs wireless they sent me hydraulic which cannot be used

Small town stores seem to have better educated and more knowledgeable employees. Male or female doesn't seem to matter.
They sent me wrong mats. I returned them back to napa for a refund, but have not been refunded since Sep 13. They're giving me a run around every time I call them. Save yourself a headache, never buy from them, you will quickly regret it.
I placed an order online for an accelerator cable. The order was delivered later than it was supposed. Upon opening the order it was the completely wrong part. They sent an air intake hose instead of an accelerator cable. I contacted the customer service number. I was told they could cancel and refund the order or replace the order. I asked for them to replace the order as I still need the cable. They then asked me to deliver the wrongly sent item to a UPS drop off location roughly 150 miles away. I was then told they would not process my replacement order until they receive the wrong part back and verify that it is sell able. I asked them to just cancel the order and have ups pick up the wrongly sent part. They refused to do so. They have permanently lost a customer. I hope they enjoy the reviews and social media I plan on filing charges as well

If I could give this company a zero I would. I am a longtime auto enthusiast and this company used to be known for being decent. You may even be able to find a franchise where you can get good help, but the company itself is terrible. I was forced to buy some break calipers that were available online only, out of two both were not disappointing. One of the calipers had the hardware attached and someone had obviously used a power tool to do so and the rubber gaskets were blown out of it and the bolt had been tightened down so far that it was past the threads. After a half an hour of prying that part was made usable. The second caliper was installed but was faulty and would not compress. I tried to take it to the store for a return and a reorder, they don't handle online orders in the store at all if it is a napa franchise. I was given an assistance number at the store which I called and they said they needed a picture of the caliper, and despite it looking just like any other caliper I obliged. I didn't hear back so I called, no progress. Then they called and asked how I knew that the part did not operate. Despite me physically seeing it not compress and then getting a second opinion from a mobile mechanic they said they would now need a letter from the mechanic for the return. A hundred and twenty dollar an hour mechanic that makes house calls (brake issue) doesn't write letters for free. I am out the time on the first part, the installation, the mechanic call, the drive to the store, numerous emails and phone calls, waiting on the part initially, and now they would like me to pay more in time and money to send them a note for a purchase that is less than thirty days old on a part that is even supposed to be covered by a warranty. These are crooks plain and simple with no quality control.

I wanted to see what the shipping would be on a $2 item and because the damn website jumps around when loading I miss clicked on the PayPal button and spent $10 to ship a $2 piece of plastic. On top of that there's no way to cancel the transaction. This is the last straw in a pile of BS from Napa over the last year. They have lost my business for life.
Two of the three rear caliper boots that I ordered were wrong. I don't understand how I get three different rear caliper boots when I ordered 3x of the same thing. Three different part numbers and three different boxes. Garbage work.
Tip for consumers:

I purchased body molding they didn't have it would be over a week to get. I went out to my car and looked online. I could buy the same thing for 5 times less. I went right back in and asked for a refund they said I had to pay a $38 dollar restocking fee for an item I never saw and they never saw. If it was on order then it had only been on order for 4 minutes.

Bought floor mats that didn't fit my vehicle. NAPA blamed it on me for ordering the wrong floor mats, and said the ones I ordered are for trucks with 5 lugnuts not 6 like my truck has. When I purchased them, there website said nothing about the number of lugnuts. Now they will not refund me to total purchase price. I am only getting 50% refund, due to their "shipping and restocking fees". Horrible customer service. Do not buy NAPA. Spend your money somewhere else.

I called the Ridge to River store about Craftsman OBD 2 reader for stated price of $42.28 on Wed, then called back Sat and it had come in only the price jumped $22.78 from the one stated at NAPA online. Was told I had to incur shipping costs. The receipt I got was manually rung up as it did not include my debit card info nor was I required to sign a copy. I'm thinking about applying for cashier position so I can start writing my own paychecks too! Now I am forced to choose between keeping a hard to get item or returning it over price dispute.

I have purchased parts from this store before. Today I called about an alternator and was clearly told $209.99 with a core of $77. My husband went to purchase and was told $309.99! I called and spoke with Lonnie who was the clerk I had been dealing with, and he told me he said $309.99 with a core of $77. I told him I know for a fact he said $209.99 because I got a quote of $185.75 with another auto supplier and figured $209.99 minus core of $77 was cheaper in the long run. And, there is a huge difference in the sound of a 2 and the sound of a 3! I even repeated it back to him and he said yes! I will never do business with them ever again! DONE!
Tip for consumers:
He better give the $77 core!
NAPA ripped me off when I placed an online order! Their website displayed a product for the price of $416.99, yet IMMEDIATELY upon placing the order they jacked the price up to $455.99. I talked to a representative who said I could cancel the order but it would take several days to have the money credited back to my bank account. Funny, they took the money immediately just as they jacked up the price!
I had to have the parts to put my truck back together and then had no other funds to do so because NAPA had ripped me off. I was basically forced to accept their theft or be without a vehicle for many days. When I received the parts, they were missing components that were specifically documented as part of the kit! I therefore had no choice but to borrow funds to purchase those missing items.
I wrote several emails to their Customer Care Department and they completely ignored me. They sent me ONE pathetic email wanting me to write them a detailed explanation of my experience and provide screenshots…WHICH I DID! I spent hours dealing with this, lost pay from work because the delivery was a day late, and received ZERO further response from NAPA! They have totally disregarded my situation and complaint. Furthermore, they refuse to compensate me for any time and money that they have caused me to lose, actually, that they have stolen from me.
I have a very detailed narrative with numerous screenshots of the entire sequence of events for anyone that is interested in seeing their deception. I will NEVER buy another item from NAPA…EVER, and will tell every person I know about this. NAPA IS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL and this was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!
I have provided a mere sample of screenshots documenting NAPAs shenanigans. Trust me folks, stay away from this company, they jack up their already inflated prices.
Tip for consumers:
NAPA is overpriced and they do not care about their customers. That is my opinion based upon more than one unsatisfying experience with this company.

Ive been a customer for over 35 years. After yesterdays dealings with the Walnut Creek location Iam going to have to part ways. After calling to confirm a part, I was told they have it in stock. I gave them my name and told them I would be by in 20 minutes. When I Arrived I was greeted by Cynthia who initially helped me over the phone. She immediately pawned me off to someone else. After waiting 5 minutes it was clear they didn't have the part. I confronted Cynthia about this and she became very defensive turning the issue around on me saying I hung up the phone to quick. Of course this was not true. When I asked for her supervisors number she asked me to leave. A younger sales consultant was kind enough to direct me to their website. As I was sitting in my car trying to reach Napa s corporate office, Cynthia comes racing out of the store and confronts me on the passenger side. My first reaction was for my safety so I rolled up my window. Much to my surprise during her rampage she had her phone out while I was in my car. A few minutes went by and the younger employee grabbed her from the side of my car and pulled her into the store. Wow! I was thinking that this Cynthia must have violated a number of Napas policies. I would think that Napa would want to know they have an unhinged employee who chooses to escalate a problem instead of dealing with it with some form of integrity. Not too sure if she forgot to take her meds but clearly this was unpleasant for me and it could have been quickly remedied if she was truthful and apologetic. Instead she was deceptive and confrontational.
I ordered a blue car cover through napa online, when it arrived it was not blue but gray! This is false advertising, you need to update your web page if this is an error on your part.
I've been waiting eight days on the missing part. I Got a notification by email that the order was complete but I'm still waiting on one Part. Three calls to NAPA online and their response is just wait and we will call the warehouse. New tracking number was assigned and still no shipment. Email communication on website is broken says I need to put phone number in correct format, I tried every format that I know and it would not accept my phone number, very poor customer service and I suspect they don't have the part in stock and failed to notify me after 8 days
