When we recently replaced the carpet in our bedroom, National Floors Direct did an excellent job. Starting with our initial call and going through our installation with sales representative Robert, the entire process was easy and comfortable. There were many samples available, and it was enjoyable to go through them while relaxing in our own home. The carpet installers arrived on time, were courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. Definitely recommended them.

We had National Floors direct install vinyl floors and after 6 months (warranty is 3 months), a molding on our stairs came off (we don't use those stairs very often). Customer service was terrible, they said this is expected when glue is used (then why use glue) and the moldings aren't supposed to be stepped on, so can't step on the stairs, makes a lot of sense. Would never recommend using National Floors Direct, yes it's cheap but you get what you paid for.

National Floors Direct installed a carpet in my home and did a terrible job. The installers damaged/broke our floor vent covers. They installed the carpets poorly, with raised and uneven seams and a hole in the carpet near the wall. They also left dozens of floor tacks upright in high traffic areas that poked through the carpet and punctured my child's foot, drawing blood. Their customer service is non existent. They state they are not responsible for any of it and refuse to respond in writing after multiple respectful emails. I engaged the BBB process. The issues with the carpet were disappointing, but the dismissive and rude customer service was worse. Avoid at all costs.

National Floors Direct gets ZERO STARS from me! I wish I could show that above, but it makes me give one, unfortunately!
No one should EVER, EVER do business with National Floors Direct. I had not one positive experience with this company! From the false advertisement to the awful customer service, I am so surprised that this company is still in business! One of the worst things that happened was that when their installers installed my flooring, they moved my stove (which, according to my contract, they were not supposed to, by the way!) and while doing so they BROKE the oven door! When I called customer service, they told me that they WON'T pay to fix my broken oven. Apparently, it is written in the contract that they are not responsible for damage done to appliances. When I told them that it was ALSO IN MY CONTRACT that they were not supposed to move my oven in the first place, they told me that I should have been watching them. Are they serious? If they hired competent workers, they should not need to be watched like toddlers! If their customers should read their contracts carefully, so should their workers! It has been almost 2 months and I am still arguing with them about paying for my broken oven!
NO ONE should trust this company AT ALL!

For brief recap, I had a free in home estimate on 12/16 and put down a deposit which I was told is 100%refundable. My wife decided she wasn't crazy about the rugs and wanted to cancel. When I called to certify the instructions I was directed to Franklin who was very nice and said he would discount the rugs by $500 if we decided to stay with your company. I said that could help and he sent over a price adjustment form to sign. I was still debating with my wife about the rugs but Franklin assured me the form would lock in the lower price and change nothing else in our contract.
Ultimately she decided against the rugs that same day despite the price adjustment.

We mailed in the appropriate cancellation form dated prior to the 12/20 date on our original form. This was again confirmed with 2 additional calls customer service that same day. The first representative was rather unpleasant and onerous stating we need to "follow the instructions on the form exactly or suffer the consequences?!?" This was a rather disturbing response to a simple and polite inquiry. The second representative was much more pleasant and reassured me that I was following the cancellation instructions appropriately and there was nothing else we needed to do aside from mail in the form before the 20th.

Fast forward to today and I received a confirmation call for my installation (which should have been canceled) and I quickly informed them of our situation and was escalated to "Alex" a "customer support manager" who informed me that the fine print in the price adjustment stated that I gave up my right to cancel the order, even though everything else in the original contract remained the same. He was rather abrupt in stating that there was no way to get my $595 dollar deposit back because I signed this form and there was nobody else for me to talk to.

I find these sale/cancellation tactics underhanded, deceptive, and frankly unethical.
I literally cancelled the order the same day and sent in the cancellation form. How is it possible that your company deems it appropriate to keep my money when they are not providing any services or goods in exchange?!?

The fantastic experience of buying new carpets was simply improved with the help of National Floors Direct. They were incredibly professional and kind from beginning to end, even going so far as to politely move my furniture during installation! The very best? When they were finished, every component had the same appearance as before, with such careful attention paid to giving me back what I had at the beginning. Since I personally witnessed this organization at work, there is now nothing but praise for a job exceedingly well done, therefore it's no surprise that they come highly recommended.

We ordered floors from National Floors Direct about two months ago and the experience from start to finish was not an easy experience and they have the worst customer service department I have ever encountered. They claim that they have a 90 day hassle free policy if the customer finds anything wrong with the floor after installation. This is a complete lie. I recently found a nice gouge in one of the planks and I contacted NFD to advise them of this. They assured me the visit will be a one time courtesy to either fix or replace the plank that is defected. This is on a recorded line. A tech was sent out earlier today and could not fix it. He then told me the plank will have to be replaced. Customer service just called me and explained it will about $600 to replace a small section and the gouge is not covered even though I was promised this would be taken care of. I plead with the rep that this is not what was promised to me and she showed zero empathy and was arguing with me the whole time. She even blamed me for not noticing this gouge during the walk through. Isn't this why there is a 90 day service guarantee? I even have a signed document that supports they would repair the defect. In fact, the whole dept at NFD shows zero empathy. This company is a giant scam and I am sorry I ever hired them. The floor was over 6k! I am going to copy and paste this report on every site I can think of to make as many people aware to avoid National Floors Direct. I have asked on more than one occasion to speak to a manager above customer service and they kept telling me there is no one other than customer service. I find it very hard to believe that a company this size does not have a customer retention/care dept. The owners of this company should be ashamed of themselves. I have requested a callback on more than one occasion from the corporate office and they have ignored me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Hello! Your contracted installers unbolted my closet door frame holder glued it on the new vinyl flooring but didn't make sure the holder piece was properly screwed down so when I tried to slide my doors it broke off. Your installers also decided to stage everything on the front porch and ended up busting a hole in our plastic window frame of the side light window that was custom built! And after I have submitted pictures to *******@nationalfloorsdirect.com and *******@nationalfloorsdirect.com you still won't fix the damage you caused! When I asked to speak to the installation manager I got a smart $#*! response saying "oh, he doesn't talk to customers." Oh, geez, I wonder why?! The installers didn't have the common courtesy to tell us - we had to find out ourselves so while they are skipping off into the sunset - we have to suffer?! When we posted a complaint on Facebook. You guys took it down! Well, guess what? Just because you took it down, I can put it right back up again! And isn't it funny the only reviews on your website are nothing but good reviews?!

Lesson to everyone here: damage happens to your house they are terrible to get a hold of and they make it impossible for anything to happen.

Even though I prefer hard floors in the majority of my home, I prefer carpeting in the bedrooms. I needed to replace ours, and NFD actually offered installation the very following day. You hear about such things, but when they actually happen, it makes you love someone much more. The crew was incredibly friendly and professional, and installation proceeded as planned.

I contracted with National Floors Direct (NFD) to redo my entire 3-level townhouse save for three bathrooms. I paid a total of $25,000, which, had to be paid in full before they would start. The
Contract was signed (VA*******) on 6/19/23 and work began 7/12/23. When the installers removed the carpeting from the two sets of stairs, they found that they were already hardwood, and did not
Need to be covered by the engineered hardwood I had purchased. It would be covering a superior product with an inferior one. The NFD salesman said the cost of doing the two sets of stairs
Was $8,500, which is mostly tied up in labor, not supplies. On 7/19/ 23, NFD offered me a take it or leave it offer of $1,200. This is absurd considering expended hardly any money on the steps. I believe $8,000 is a more accurate estimate, which accounts for restocking fees and the work the installers did on the steps of removing the carpeting and removing the fasteners. It is now 8/12/23, and NFD still refuses to return my money even though they would not cost them to do so (except for interest they are accruing on my money perhaps). Please don't use this company.

The installation team did a great job, and I am very happy with my new carpet. We are repeat customers for a reason: I was able to choose a gorgeous new carpet at a fair price, and they arrived to install it in less than two days, which I particularly enjoyed because the staff showed up and installed our new carpet even during a snowstorm. Thank you so much; when we need to redo the remainder of our house, we will definitely utilize National Floors Direct.

My experience with National Floors Direct was quite positive. The salesperson was amiable, sincere, and professional right from the beginning of the process. I am astonished at how much the kitchen has changed after I replaced the old linoleum with luxury vinyl. The installers were nice and finished the job quickly. I am aware that as a token of appreciation for taking the time to write this review, I will be given a gift card.

There were numerous samples available, and it was pleasant to browse in the comfort of our own home. I purchased flooring for my entire house with this company. I was told moving of my furniture was included with the price I paid. However, during the installation I received a call from the installation department. They indicated that in order for the installation to proceed I need to pay an additional $400 because I have furniture in my house. They know I can't leave the house with out the carpet they had ripped out. We were left with no choice but to pay for them to complete

Fantastic business! We called National Floors Direct in search of carpet installation for our staircase. The following day, they showed up, gave us all the information we required, provided samples for us to examine, and assisted us in making the best choice without being pushy. The carpet was installed and the work was finished two days later. The cost was extremely affordable. We are pleased with the results.

If I could give them zero stars I would this company is terrible a total scam I gave them $3900 deposit my tile is still not installed and I literally have to argue with them every day because it's just problem after problem DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They Delivered the wrong tile that the salesman wanted me to buy. Come to find out they sold me a tile they don't even have! There response is incorrect they just wanna keep my deposit. Obviously if it was the right tile I would have let them install it no problem. Now they won't even answer my calls! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.! I am still asking for a refund of my $3900 deposit. If they return my money I will update. It is now one month since their salesman came to my house delivered the wrong tile missed two installation dates and now they said there keeping my deposit money $3900!Once again DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! TOTAL TRASH!

Paid 12k for wood floors. Men came. Did a half azz job. Bad cuts. Dents. I had one room that needed carpet. Paid 500 deposit. Only owed 1k on day of installation. I had to reschedule once from covid. Two weeks later I am sitting with no electricity from the hurricane and a busted pipe and another sick person. They said too bad. Pay 250.00 to reschedule. This company has 100s of lawsuits. There is no managers to speak with. The woman did not let me speak. I had to raise my voice and hang up. Imagine them wanting to charge money on a house it's physically impossible to lay carpet? Vile people. Huge mistake and a waste of money

NFD is a scam- buyer beware
I chose NFD as a direct result of the reviews online. If you live in the Maryland/DC region Please learn from my experience- Do not purchase floors from this company. What they don't tell you is you will be waiting for them from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and if they don't show up by 5:00 pm you will be rescheduled. You cannot cancel your order, you cannot speak with management, you cannot vent or write your concerns with anyone in leadership. The customer service person (Kim) informed me " there is nothing you can do but wait". No floors installed, no communication and out of $4000. I regret choosing this company to install my floor.

They said they would be here from 7:30 to 12:30 they didn't come until 3:30 then they looked around and it looked to me very suspicious then he said do you have cash I said yes they he wanted the money first. He wouldn't due job he had a deposit but would due anything till they were paid in full. I didn't even see the rug and he wouldn't install till all was paid. The customer service was horrible I call she said I signed a contract they scam me because I said I would pay cash when job was done. They said we are keeping my deposit and then they left.

This is honestly the worst company I have ever worked with! First, the salesperson didn't know what he was doing and sold me flooring that doesn't match my present flooring. The installers never showed me the flooring before ripping out my carpet. I called National Floors Direct to let them know the color recommended by their salesperson did not match and they told me it was my fault. I wanted to see if I can change out the flooring for something that does match. National Floors Direct wanted to charge me a $1700 restocking fee to change the color even though they say they are direct to the warehouse. Seriously? I finally agreed to pay $500 extra, They said they'll send somebody out to install it. The people came about three hours later and told me they don't move electric beds. Now what am I supposed to do as a 63-year-old woman, move my king-size bed myself? This company sucks. I have no idea how they got so many positive reviews because they can't possibly be true. Reconsider before you ever hire this company. Oh- and I forgot to mention- they do NOT take credit cards and do not tell you that upfront and they demand payment upfront!

With National Floors Direct, the extraordinary experience of getting new carpets was simply enhanced. After their job was done, each piece looked just like it did before; with attention placed so precisely in order to give me back what I started with. So national floors direct promises to remove carpeting before reinstall - then sends an email text out saying to "have it fully prepped " for them or else they can leave and keep 1/3 of your total estimate for rescheduling. Very clever.
If you need to "change an order" they tell you they will "discuss when they are onsite" and then send people who cannot speak ANY English.

Nice people - but can't speak about a change at all.
So to avoid being charged for "not being prepped " I paid another worker/ and myself to remove and prep. It was contracted for them to remove the carpeting.
Refund for lack of work to prep at all? Absolutely none. They acknowledge they sent out an automatic email / text but " we still keep the money "

They also left the old carpet / pad for two rooms onsite.
The change order was not reduced in cost despite a reduction in carpet.
Terrible company - stay clear. 3250 dollars for two rooms 150 sq ft each.! Terrible service at high cost.

Tip for consumers:
Stay away from this company.
Poor customer communication no responsibility for mistakes on their end

All the time I worked with NFD, their customer service was polite. NFD effortlessly accommodated my schedule. Both before and after my flooring were installed, customer service informed me. The installers did a great job, finishing my four rooms and staircase in a single day. With National Floors Direct, I had no complaints whatsoever. I'd heartily suggest using their services.
