“Fraudulent car warranty company”

Katie N.
1/2/24

This company, National Vehicle Protection Services is an absolute fraud, we recently had a major issue they did not cover but should have, we even had the manger tell us he has never seen this type of resistance for a claim that should be covered in his whole career-30 year career, if you are nervous to get a warranty with this company you should be. Looking back I should have done more research. We had not 1 but 3 warranty contracts, we spent a tremendous amount of of money on each policy. The last we had we had paid $3493.00 for the policy all to be denied coverage for a part for the transmission on our 2017 Nissan Titan, it was valve body assembly that went bad in the transmission, this left us without a vehicle for a week, this is unacceptable, customer service was incredibly rude when called and we asked for help; this company takes advantage of their customer, making them believe they have a safety net they do not, their warranties are worthless. They can not and should not be trusted. They turned down claims with our other policy a 2011 Nissan Titan that should have been also been covered. I would absolutely Not recommended this company.Ever. This is not a trustworthy company, when they contacted us initially, they lied and said they partners with the dealership we purchased our vehicle from and that our dealership referred to us, this we later found out was not just a lie but huge lie, this company truly lacks integrity and business ethics, I assume they have a program or pay for listings for the dealerships but are not representing the truth. I am sharing to try to protect others from making the same mistake. If you check out the BBB, you unfortunately find they prey on seniors folks in many cases, I should have done more research, I do not ever think I will purchase an after market car warranty policy from any company after this horrible experience.

Tip for consumers:
National Vehicle Protection Services is a fraudulent company, they rarely process claims and deny most claims for many of their customers. Not a trustworthy car warranty provider.

This warranty is worthless. I have tried to use it twice but both times they stated the parts were not specifically listed so they were not covered. The first claim involved the engine and the recent one involved the tensioner pulley for the alternator. When I paid $3893.00 for the warranty that was suppose to cover engine and alternator issues, I was not told the specific parts had to be listed for them to be covered. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Tip for consumers:
Don't buy this Endurance warranty.

I had to have camshaft replaced on the rear engine head. I deal with my Jeep dealership. I had all my maintenance records up to date. The lifters needed replaced as well as the valve cover gaskets. My bill was $1367.61. This warranty that I have would only cover after market products. They would not go along with the Jeep products. My dealership would only use Jeep products and I was told I had to pay the difference even for the labor charges and they wouldn't pay for the diagnostics either. They paid $648.58. And I was stuck with $719.03. I sent a copy of what I paid for a rental car and 10 days later I'm still waiting for some reimbursement. They are very deceiving as I look at it. If you had a Cadillac would you want a Volkswagen part to replace it if it were the same part needed. Of course not so I went with the Jeep parts which gives me a 2 year warranty. I'm very disappointed with this company and advise my family and friends to avoid them.

Tip for consumers:
They do not pay for dealership parts but want to use after market products. If you choose to use Jeep products you pay the difference in the price.

Worst business experience of our lives. Substandard after market parts, $4,100 plan, part went out twice in one year, they would not honor contract. Avoid these people.

Tip for consumers:
These are dishonest scammers, avoid at all costs. Their contract is more about protecting their treachery than protecting your vehicle.

NATIONAL VEHICLE PROTECTION SERVICES IS A SCAM! Do you not believe a word these people tell you. Contact your dealership and discuss your warrantees before letting these people make you think you need coverage that you already have. I was stressing to the representative that I already have coverage when I purchased my finance and I was being told I don't and I should not contact the dealership they will not do anything for me. The guy was trying to pressure me into paying a total of $4000 over x amount of months/years! I was stressing that I do not have the funds and I'm pretty sure I'm already covered. I would like to call my dealership first, and he threatened me that this offer with no longer stand and he cannot hang up with me and was questioning my financial status and asking how I can't afford something? This was a very intrusive phone call and very shady company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY!

Very thorough & pleasant sales pitch. Enjoyed my time in conversation & felt it was well explained. Comfortable with my sales person (& if I could locate where I wrote his name I'd tell you who he was!)

Do NOT use this company. I received a letter in the mail with the heading "Toyota Knoxville," as this is the dealership I take my vehicle to for services. There was no fine print anywhere stating this was actually "National Vehicle Protection Services." I went through with a warranty plan thinking I was speaking to someone associated with Toyota. I put $495 down. The next day I cancelled the plan, as I was guaranteed a refund if I decide to cancel within 30 days. It has been almost 3 weeks, and I have NOT received a refund. I have spoken with customer service associates numerous times. I have been given excuses saying, "it is up to your bank," or "it will take 7 business days to appear in your account." I have also been told I will be sent a paper check in the mail. It has not shown up, and it has been one week. These people are scamming using Toyota's name. To add, anytime I have called, they have not introduced themselves as "National Vehicle Protection Services." I would give ZERO stars if possible.

This is my second review for a claim I did last month. First was about using after market products. This one is about the fee I paid for a rental car. I faxed them the rental car invoice. I had the car for a week. After my dealership told them the part that was needed,NVPS said they would send a representative to confirm that. I don't know where he came from but that was a day wasted. He came and confirmed the part wanting not to use the Jeep product but an after market product. Nevertheless the part had to be ordered and they overnighted the part. So I rented the car on a Wednesday and returned it the following Tuesday and they are only going to pay me for 2 days. The car sat at the dealership 2 days before the representative came to confirm the part that was needed. I paid $531.95 and I'm only getting $70.00 back. I have been waiting since Feb. 14,2023 for this check. I called and they said they never received the fax. So I refaxed it along with 2 confirmations that they received it. They told me the check was mailed Feb. 27 and today is Mar. 4 and I have received no check as of this day. I rated them a 3 of 5 stars but now they have gone to a 1 star. Brittany Diering was the agent that sold me this policy and I'm very sorry that I purchased this policy. I have spoke with Connor for a followup and I think they have a script to read from to pacify the customer. I do not recommend them. I see positive reviews for them and I've only seen One negative and it wasn't mine so I'm not sure I trust the people who review these.

Tip for consumers:
This company is very deceptive. You cannot believe anything you read in their contract as they interpret differently and they will not go with the dealership's products.
